"In my day it only cost $10 to buy a car." "But back in your day you made a quarter a week." *Silence.* What's funny to me is that those people fail to factor in the inflation and improvements in production technology that actually make that $10 car five times as expensive as a standard car today Ther aren't many improvements in the construction of cars these days. Car companies purposefully make their vehicles break down after a certain point. It generates more money that way. Why do you think GM and Ford flourished in the 60's and why the foreign car companies today are attracting more customers. Honda's vehicles last a long time, over 15-20 years but you keep needing to replace the parts. It's the way business is done. Bullshit, the quality of cars has been improving exponentially over the last few decades because the companies have been gradually phasing out metal, which rusts and is a cheap construction material in cars. Planned obsolescence does exist, but the build quality of cars today is almost astonishingly better it was 20 years ago. -
Comments which don't warrant a thread.

My school just got in a bunch of new shit for the year in the computer lab. They got some new MIDI keyboards, a few new computers, and also some new mice. The new mice they got are those really nice Razer Copperhead mice, and there's no way to prevent students (me) from stealing them. My mouse is cute and nice, but i like the Copperhead better. -
So I told my friend that I'm going to take her up on the DMT. I thought about it today and realized that it's (most likely) going to be the only time that I am ever going to be able to do it, what with it being so very rare. It sounds pretty scary though. Not scary as in terrifying but scary as in like "This is fucking heavy shit; am I ready?"

Yeah, I completely misread that.

The Rights of Man is pretty good... I'd check out some Emerson and Thoreau as well if you enjoy this Pussies

What's the fun in that?

The Holy Roman Empire was not Holy, nor Roman, nor an Empire. It was a loose collection of feudal states, and typically very small ones at that. It was on a slow decline of power since the 30 years war. To make the Holy Roman Empire fall was a simple matter of reorganization. There was no avoiding it.

Milky: My friend just offered me some DMT, in leu of shrooms. 1) Joe Rogan has a fucking isolation chamber? 2) I like how you can hear Jim Breuer giggling in the background.

What if Bismarck included Austria in the unification of Germany?

I'm doing them on saturday. I'm pretty excited. If all goes well, I'm just going to go to this park and shit around. I don't really know though, I would like to go play in the water or something just because. The park is nice and sunny with some areas of shade, and a hurricane just passed through here so the grass is probably huge by now. I'm probably going to do some dxm there tomorrow too.

You'll get it some day.

It looks like the producers of this show decided that they were never going to be as big as the UK-based American Idol, so they tossed all judgement to the wind and made the most ridiculous show on television. David Hasslehoff and Sharon Osbourne are the two worthwhile judges, and Jerry Springer fucking hosts.

Pretty self-explanatory. A person suggests a theme for a playlist, and you recommend songs for that playlist. Try to give as much information about the eventual playlist/compilation as possible to get the best results. I'll get this party started. I want to make sort of an indie rock dance mix. Something upbeat and something you can dance too. Doesn't necessarily have to be indie rock, but let's try to keep it as close to that as possible. I have the first three songs: "When Did Your Heart Go Missing" - Rooney "I'm A Realist" - The Cribs "Morden" - Good Shoes I think that presents a pretty good vein to follow. Thanks in advance.

Agreed, but that might be a little hard to weave into an episode. It's like a 7 minute song, anyways.

How am I not quoted for my own sig?

They're working off of songs that they already have in their repertoire, so I wouldn't be surprised. I'd like the show to go on, but they're going to run out of material at the end of the season. The song "If you're into it" was a song written for the show, but was a pretty simplistic song, musically, consisting of two simple guitar chords and a piano scale. If you watch the music video, when Jemaine plays the toy piano, it looks like he has deformed hands.

It's the media. That's how they work.
