Experimental indie fans bother me too. For what it's worth, the music isn't that bad, but the fans make such a goddamned deal out of it. Anyone who puts some sort of weird instrument into their music is automatically a "genius", I guess.

The average number of parties in a past-the-post system is like 2.3, while the proportional representation system supports an average of 3.6 parties. I guess it keeps the crazies out, but if each state was turned into a single constituency, then we'd see a lot more Green party candidates get elected to the house, as well as some semi-extreme rights in the south. I wrote my mid-term on it last summer at berkeley. The single plurality system on the local, state, and national level is pretty much just a funhouse of gerrymandering.

By the way, Safari has this really goddamned annoying bug where you have to send shit twice in order to actually send it. If I send a myspace message and it's all typed out and I hit the send button, it erases the message and makes me type it out and send it again. Happens for Gmail too, but it doesn't erase the message, you just have to stop the page from loading and hit the send key again. I imagine it'll get fixed in later patch releases.
