I think it would be more realistic to expect a nom to Oldman or Eckhart, but it's still pretty farfetched.

Pics or it didn't happen. That's the rule. Ledger won't get the oscar nod. Don't get your hopes up. I'd see them doing it maybe as just an honorary thing, but he's not a main character, and he's not a really supporting character. He did a great job in that role, but the Academy's nods just don't go to parts like the Joker. Not to mention he didn't even have very many lines.

So just ignore them. I'm sure they help some people out. Not to mention there's a pretty big group of people that maintain that PF is full of shit and irrelevant.

So, in summation, it's saying "Yeah, there's good and bad, so fuck the whole thing." I don't understand "INDIE MUSIC ISN'T WORKING." That doesn't make sense. What was indie even trying to accomplish other than just be something other than ALT-ROCK. It's just kids being resourceful. Are there a lot of guitar-based and similar-sounding bands? Sure. But the grey areas extend out further into the spectrum than metal or rap or country could ever hope to.

I'm sure there's a large portion that thinks that I have to ride on the sidewalk or something too. Or take 3 right turns when I want to turn left. Oh, there was one time when I was riding in my friend's car down the road, and I spanked a cyclist as we passed him.

I've been biking for about 2 months now. But yeah, the bike laws have been in place for the last 16,000 years (wikipedia.org), and mostly, they're just common sense. Share the road, and I'm allowed to take left turns. But that's a good idea, I might have to do that. Maybe just a flyer or something to give to the driver who gets pissed off at me for taking a left when they hit their next red light.

More left-turn bike adventures today. Got into the left lane to make a turn, some guy laid on his horn, and I gave him the finger as he went past. A black girl yelled "YOU CAN'T DO THAT, YOU'RE NOT IN A CAR" at me... which I guess either is referencing me making the left turn, or giving the guy the finger. Then some black homeless guy walking down the street told me that my punk ass would get beat if I did something like that again. To which I told him what I did was completely legal, and he scoffed it off like he was still right.
