This was our first inkling that Blake's buddy might be a bit of a dick, which has since been confirmed by just about everyone who's met the guy. -

Pretty good, but the dude isn't wearing nearly enough Tapout apparel, nor was there nearly enough threats of making the dude tap prior to the actual "fight." -

Nah. The only dude who needs to be openly villified is Forrest Griffin, due to being a massive douche bag who somehow has managed to cultivate a loveable yokel image. -

Honestly, I'm not looking to villify Kang or anything. There's any number of fighters out there who have unreported stories about them that would either reflect negatively on said fighter and/or reinforce preconceived notions about them (IE- Bas). It just makes for funny inside jokes, though never intentionally to the detriment of a guy's career or anything. -

I have it on good authority, though my source is sworn to anonymity. Sorry. -

So were Canadians pissed last night due to Emmanuel Newton fighting a conservative fight, or Roger Hollet sucking balls? If the former, it's worth noting that by Antonio McKee standards, Newton was a spark plug. If the latter... well, what else is new with your champs? -

Seriously? What if he beat someone like Edgar or Maynard? You've been hating on Florian forever, and despite being proven wrong the by guy repeatedly, you seem to find ways of not only picking against him, but convincing yourself that he's just not that good. I'm pretty certain that even if he could beat Diego (even by stopping him), you'd give him props immediately after the fight and then still rag on the guy consistently. Also, despite being a somewhat better striker than he used to be, Diego still his the same defensive flaws he's always had standing, and he frankly simply isn't as good on his feet as Florian. The most important issue in my mind is that Diego's wrestling hasn't improved quite a while. He's still mainly a bull-rush style takedown artist, who gets the majority of his via scrambles or sheer overwhelming force. Florian is too seasoned right now to fall to it repeatedly, IMO, and while Diego may find some early success like Lauzon did, Florian is good at making his openings in between count as he slow burns his opponent. Plus, unlike Bielkheden, Gassaway or the other guys he's put away with his G&P, Florian is no longer going to simply sit around and give up if Diego is on top. -

I'd favor Kenny, but if there's a fighter who could find his way out from under his top game and even be offensive from there, it'd be Diego. His bottom game and scrambling ability are both very good, and his insane cardio pretty much assures he hardly needs to rest, thus allowing him to constantly maneuver. That being said, Diego still can't check a low-kick to save his life (as in, someone could literally stop him low kicks if they made an concerted effort), and Kenny has found answers for Diego's head-first style since their first meeting. The fight would largely depend on how often Diego can bring Kenny to the ground, IMO. -

Against Alves, yes. He was using Thiago's ribs as a heavy bag and had him almost put away when that Brazilian bastard landed a blind counter FTW. -

The fact that Derrick Noble missed out on one of the sweetest body-shot KO's in MMA history still irks me. -

He was a 177 lbs. collegiate wrestler, so 205 is a more realistic body size for the guy, though it reminds me how ridiculously juiced these guys get in pro-wrestling. -
Could you take your mind off of dicks for even a single day?

The Anconda was a flavor of the month sub. The D'Arce is much more versatile when choking a bitch. Funny note: I once caused my ex-girlfriend to severely sprain her neck when forcing her to roll out of an omo-plata. Needless to say, I didn't get head for a few days after that.
-
There isn't anyone at LW from the show that Nover wasn't going to beat easily.
-
Of course he could, but I still favor Bader. Vinny's been beaten by good wrestlers before, and regardless of neither guy having any real stand-up skills, the fact that Bader takes a better shot could easily make the difference. Also, VINDICATION~! Regardless of how badly I did with the LHW's, Nover & Escudero > Browning & Nelson.
-
White's is such a transparent cunt. "I'm not showing favortism," says the guy who kicked Allen Berube off the show for merely instigating a fight.
-
Oh, shit. Primm with the Kareem-Abdul-Jabber-teep-from-a-lawn-chair. Someone check Junie's chest for a footprint.
-
Man, is there anyone who HASN'T smoked Browning during training?
-
If nothing else, he can't do worse than Eliot... well, if you don't count that he can't check lowkicks, loads up on his strikes way too much and hates getting hit in general. Still, Krystof would've been a much easier final opponent for Bader, especially since he showed that his striking isn't quite as scary as was made out.
-
Well, there's literally no way Nover loses in the finals. Also, if Browning skates by yet another (and possibly even more ridiculous) physical confrontation, and it'll set a very bad precedent for future contestants on the show, as well as destroying whatever shred of credibility the show's claims to impartiality had left.
-
Oh, Jesus Christ. Roop is going to try and ballet-kick Nover to death in honor of Mir. This is going to be hilarious.
-
Went as expected. Put a strong but inexperienced wrestler against a solid if simplistic BJJ guy, and you're looking at a stalemate. Bader needs to work on his guard passing, as Eliot left his half guard wide open at several points, but Bader's still early enough into his career that not passing a BJJ black belt's guard isn't a huge problem yet. Nover's going make Roop's eyes match.
