    Gridiron gang

Be Cool was a shining example of how not to adapt an Elmore Leonard novel. The Rock was good in it, but F. Gary Gray clearly had no idea what was going on and basically redid the first movie/book.

MMA Comments that Don't Warrant a Thread

Well, this should give us an idea as to how well Bonnar's adjusted to his new team. Speaking of teams, Fight Network had EliteXC Renegade on again and it made me wish that the UFC would include team affiliations in the introductions. Also, I was reading about how Matt Arroyo and Lobstah were applying for The Amazing Race... better than Marlon Sims and Noah Thomas, I suppose.

    UFC 81: Breaking Point

Ummm, he stopped the guy in under 2 minutes. Hey for some guys, that *IS* an eternity. But seriously Mike, there was a bit of clubberin' going on there. It wasn't all about Sherking the guy.

    Arby's Toasted Subs

Mmmm, Whataburger at 3am. Sometimes, I really miss living in Houston. There is something oddly enjoyable about seeing a fast food chain being so old school for not opening on Sundays though. Knowing me though, even if they were open I'd still go for pho. Back to the title subject, I don't remember ever having a good meal at Arbys. But that may come from the fact that the Arbys up here in Canada are complete shite, and it led me to ignore any and all Arbys restaurants when I lived in the US...

Regional Differences In Fast Food Joints

I can't say I'm surprised, and I suppose that's why they don't actually have those ads anymore (I'm sure they do it during busy times though). But they do need to do something to try and distinguish themselves in the US, so I suppose it's a good strategy.

    UFC 79: Nemesis

Koscheck at Philthy McNasty's (Hamilton) for UFC 79 We should probably add "crazy" to "arrogant" and "cocky". Not so much for agreeing to host a party in Canada for GSP's fight (I expect he'll be heckled a lot), but more because he's got to go to Hamilton to do it...

Regional Differences In Fast Food Joints

OK, I have to ask - did the Timmy's shops in Michigan JUST start doing the "new pot every 20 minutes" thing or is this something they've finally decided to start promoting this year? I keep seeing their commercials (StarChoice lets me get Detroit stations instead of the dreaded Buffalo ones) and I'm thinking, isn't this something they promoted in Canada 20 years ago? And yes, I'm old.

    UFC 79: Nemesis

I think that, as long as GSP keeps his head in the game, he's good to go. But as you noted, he's very good at saying the right things, so we can't really tell where he's at.

    TUF VII: Middleweights

This is true. But I suppose that they didn't want to make a farce of the show by overdubbing Silva?

    kkk Bowl V: Week 15

Denver @ Houston (0.5) Crucial game for me this week as a win here guarantees that at least a tie in the divisional tiebreak. Of course, I'd love to just avoid all the tiebreaks by running the table, but that's darn near impossible in this league.

    TUF VII: Middleweights

I suppose there's the possibility for Bonnar and Tompkins to be assistant coaches as well. In fact, given that Xtreme Couture is in Vegas, Team Griffin could have a rotating cast of guest coaches drop in.

    Boardloaf

Egg Nog lattes are indeed awesome, but all it takes is one bad carton to make your day a very bad one. It's actually the only specialty drink I ever get there.

    Hot Sauces

Seconded on the Sriracha. It's pretty much a staple for Asian food plus it has a texture that you simply can't get with the Louisiana pepper/vinegar sauces. Not that there's anything wrong with Frank's Red Hot. As an aside, I actually have a scotch bonnet sauce from Jamaica that I'm afraid to open...

    TUF VI: Welterweights

It's probably Mishima or Pelligrino. But I say he's fed a TUF alum like Cole Miller to start.

    TUF VI: Welterweights

Huerta was on dream street after that nice punch by Guida, and how he survived that is beyond me. But to bounce back from that so quickly - and win - was really impressive.

    TUF VII: Middleweights

Note to Dana - if you're trying to surprise us by withholding the name of the second coach, perhaps you shouldn't call the first one the "#1 contender" and then tell us that the coaches will fight at the end of the show...

There's a hair in my food!

I took it to mean any fast food burger joint rather than McDonald's specifically. Regardless, I probably wouldn't notice the hair until the point where it was already in my mouth, and yes, I'd cut and complain. If there's a line, you'd be getting something for free. If there's no line, you're probably SOL.

    kkk Bowl V: Week 14

Crap, I totally forgot about Thursday's game. Since Bored picked incorrectly, is that a wash? I vote no for Lock of the Week Carolina @ Jacksonville (10.5) (10.5) Dallas @ Detroit Miami @ Buffalo (7.5) N.Y. First documented fatality in regulated MMA

Oh ye of little faith, Mik. You know someone's gonna make a big deal about it. Hell, I'm surprised a guy like Jim Lampley hasn't jumped all over it yet...

    The Amazing Race: Season 12

Well, the Hollywood Blondes are gone, and I suppose you could call it Race Karma if you'd like, but the truth is that they weren't particularly good Racers and their elimination was gonna happen soon anyway. Call me crazy, but Vyxsin looks better with the glasses. And barring some bad luck, the F3 should probably be the siblings, Goths and that last couple. I don't know if I could handle Ronald winning the million.

    Heroes

To this point, probably throwing us a bone by showing clips of Smackdown and Bruce Lee. But if - as many of us seem to figure - Nikki buys it, there's probably some power/responsibility drama that she's gonna go through. That or she gets targeted by Sylar. And yeah, photographic reflexes probably one of the coolest abilities to have. Just curious though - does anyone in comics have this ability besides Taskmaster?
