"MTV.com is reporting that guitarist Brian "Head" Welch, a founding member of KORN, has left the band and has rededicated his life to Christianity, according to the group's management. "KORN has parted ways with guitarist Brian 'Head' Welch, who has chosen Jesus Christ as his savior, and will be dedicating his musical pursuits to that end," a statement from the band reads. "KORN respects Brian's wishes, and hopes he finds the happiness he's searching for." The announcement puts to rest weeks of rumors that Welch was unhappy with KORN's direction. On February 8, he had apparently written a "letter of resignation" to the band's management. In the note, Welch detailed a long list of reasons for leaving the band, including increased moral objections to KORN's music and videos. In particular, he was upset by how he was portrayed in the clip for their cover of CAMEO's "Word Up", off their recently released "Greatest Hits, Vol. 1" album. In the video, Welch's face was superimposed on a dog patrolling a strip club. Welch plans on further explaining his decision to leave KORN this coming Sunday, when he'll address the congregation at the Valley Bible Fellowship in Bakersfield, California. And on February 28 he plans to leave for Israel. KORN are currently in the studio working on a new record, which is due in stores in September. " Let me get on my knee's and pray to Head's Lord that please let this be the end of Korn!!!!

Sweet, I was at the WM 13 show. Why they going back? Chicago is a wrestling city. Look at how well those ECW shows did at the Odeum. Always packed. The All-State Arena is a nice place. MUCh better neighborhood than the United Center.

That argument might be considered valid if not for the fact that "Christina Aguilera";s number is that of a company. If she had simply changed it, the number wouldn't belong to a business. Gee, you're hostile today. Where's the love? It's true: http://abclocal.go.com/wabc/news/wabc_0222...arishilton.html

Depends on who you aske: Ex-ANTHRAX singer Joey Belladonna has spoken to TotalRock.com about the announcement that he is rejoining his former bandmates for a special anniversary show at the Dynamo Festival in Holland on May 7. "Right now I don't know anything," he said, seemingly squashing reports that the reunion is a done deal. As previously reported, ANTHRAX are said to be planning a series of concerts featuring Belladonna, and other former bandmembers — guitarist Dan Spitz and bassist Frank Bello — this summer, including an appearance at the 10th anniversary edition of Ozzfest. Sharon Osbourne is believed to have promised ANTHRAX a slot at this year's Ozzfest but only on the condition that they perform with the classic lineup that was responsible for some of the band's most successful albums. http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbermo...ewsitemID=32749

Clean production doesn't always mean good production.

LAMB OF GOD are being forced to step aside from one of their arena concerts on the upcoming Subliminal Verses Tour with SLIPKNOT, because of their name LAMB OF GOD and former moniker BURN THE PRIEST. The venue, The Forum in Los Angeles, is owned by The Faithful Central Bible Church, who decided to impose a ruling to ban LAMB OF GOD's performance at their venue. More: http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbermo...ewsitemID=32360 Well on the bright side you might get an extended Sdawdows Fall set, on the bad side, you could get an extended Slipknot set.

Incorrect. A Perfect Circle is now on hiatus. One of the many newsbits on the net: Launch Radio Networks is reporting that singer Maynard James Keenan has gone back to TOOL, bassist Jeordie White has joined the touring lineup of NINE INCH NAILS, and now A PERFECT CIRCLE drummer Josh Freese has found something to do while APC is on hiatus. Freese will sit behind the kit for former POLICE singer and bassist Sting, who's getting back to his roots with a four-piece rock band that hits the road in early April. Freese told Reuters, "I'm a little bit more on the rock side of things than on the sophisticated jazz-pop side of things. But I'm not going to go out and be overpowering — if anything I'll tone it down a bit at first so I don't freak anybody out." http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbermo...ewsitemID=32000

Ya hit the nail on the head. They have yet to capture thier live sound on record. I'm hoping the record is selling well so that Epic (right?) maybe fronts them a lil' more cash for proper production. They will be headlining a tour w/ Machine Head in support after the Slipknot dates wrap.

http://www.startribune.com/stories/510/4802803.html "In March, Lesnar walked away from the final five years and about $45 million of his seven-year WWE contract for the chance to play in the NFL, preferably for the Vikings, he said. "I was miserable," Lesnar said. "How many people in life are miserable but don't . . . do anything about it?" If Lesnar makes an active NFL roster, he probably would earn the league's rookie minimum of $230,000 a year. That would drop to about $85,000 if he ends up on a practice squad."
