Are there any Performance Wrestling competitions out there?
Damien replied to Damien's topic in General Wrestling
I should. How do I contact Mike? Why did everyone ditch this joint? They gotta come back and merge both archives. I'm not gonna make a new account for the new place. -
Agreed. cena should die.

But he admitted that he's Joe Rodriguez's friend.

Y2J, I was 5 years ahead of ya: http://pwtorch.com/artman2/publish/WWE_New...cle_68650.shtml -
THIS. This is required reading for all sports fans. There are so many morons out there who don't get it. I don't agree Sports fans do need to read that. There are so many fools out there who spout nonsense when a "favored" team gets thumped.
-
"Best team" does not equal favored team. Despite the playoff format, it is still fair to call the champ the best team. Always. I don't agree Which line don't you agree with?
-
That's the way I look at it. Upsets do happen in the playoffs, but a good team should be able to avoid those. You win the trophy, you have the right to call yourself the best for the year (or for the next 4 years, in the case of the World Cup (I still hate Brazil though) and Olympics)... EXACTLY.

The team becomes the best when it wins the title.

If the playoffs don't determine the best team, then there is no best team. The regular season sure doesn't. It is only a qualifying phase for the playoffs. Nothing more. Your #2 is idiotic. A team won't score that many more runs than necessary. And may rack up runs in a blowout. The champion is the best team, because the championship is everyone's goal.

Cena sucks

Thanks. Why was a new board created? This one here is perfectly fine. Everyone should come back.
-
Why the hell is it dead? I dont wanna get a new acct at wrestlezone or any other board.

Is there any footage of the house shows other than the 2 MSG shows?

The Russo deal was 100% a work, right? So idiotic. So they gave Hogan the rest of his contract off, yet still paid him? For doing nothing? I hate it when they vacate titles. Why couldn't they stick to the original idea of having 2 champions, 1 for Thunder and 1 for Nitro? That woulda been ok. What was the reasoning behind this worked shoot? Fans don't like title strips, we like continuity. The only way this would make sense is if it actually was a shoot. What really happened?

WHERE IS EVERYBODY?!!!!!!!!! Let's talk WM28!! CENA SUCKS!!!

This is a bit off topic, but do you really have to put that bastard name for this sport in parantheses in the topic description? Football has been globalized enough so that we do not need to differentiate so that the Americans can understand. They know what we mean when we say football.

Good top 4, but I'd question leaving Andre the Giant off the list in place of Bret Hart. ok, I meant Top 5 Superstars since January 23, 1984. sorry No worries, but even with that date range... I'd probably still put Andre the Giant on the list in place of Bret Hart. Even past his prime, Andre was a bigger mainstream star than Bret ever was... but that's just my opinion on the matter. Your opinion is wrong. Andre was champ for what like, a couple of weeks. The Hitman held the title longer and main evented more. What's wrong with you man, are you French? Bret Hart> Andre and I'm sure everyone else here will agree

Ultimate Warrior to make a return to the ring
Damien replied to The Buzz's topic in General Wrestling
Are you for real? He's looked like that for years now. Go look it up, that's what the friggin' internet is for. dude, i aint got no time to be lookin up pics of the warrior, i barely have enough time to post here FOR YEARS NOW... ok, now you're pissin' me off. if TSM had a PPV event, i'd challenge u to a match. i'd cut promos leading up to it describing how I actually have a life, so I have no time to keep up with what the Ultimate Mental Case looks like nowadays. I'll show photos on the TitanTron explaining why you know more about him than I. The pics would show me out on dates with various women and then show what you've been doing these past years... sittin' at home in front of your computer, lovingly gazing at pics of The Ultimate Warrior. FOR YEARS NOW... It's time for whoever's in charge of TSM merchandising to start cranking out those FOR YEARS NOW... t-shirts. -

Rather than prove you're not a mark, you tell me to fuck off. Nice, very markish behavior. Anyway, I think it'd be cool if, at the end of a 5 star spotfest, both wrestlers can bow to the crowd who'd give them a standing ovation, rather than have the kayfabe losing wrestler act pissed that he lost. I would much rather hear the commentators discuss spot setups and their execution rather than hear JR act like an idiot and call every heel "sick and despicable" even though the previous week, he would praise the same wrestler who was a babyface at the time. Or with the female wrestlers, JR calls them all "jezebels" when they turn heel but when they're faces, they are hard working role models. I appreciate the artform of wrestling, but sometimes the storylines are unneccessary because they are so fucking absurd most of the time, WWE is basically insulting our intelligence. It'd be one thing if they distinctly said their target audience was preschoolers, but it seems they think we are all like the David Arquette and his friend characters from Ready 2 Rumble.
