SD: Trips as Heel (he and Edge can duke it out over the next few months to see who is top heel in the brand) Khali as comedy-monster face (i like some of the ideas suggested here already) Umaga goes face as well (his scary heel act seems stale and I personally don't buy him as a threat at all anymore. He needs a change-up) Raw: Batista as heel (someone big needs to turn and he's a good fit for the role)

I think that they just don't know how to hold off so long for a big angle like that. Storyline-wise it would be difficult to have Cena and Batista on the same brand for 9 months without them ever meeting in the ring, espescially when you consider the number of Raw episodes and PPV's that show up in that timespan. The same is true of Hunter and Edge. I think that those matches weren't saved til WM25 because they simply don't know how they could explain there not being a single matchup in the interrim. I don't think they know who they'll be using at WM yet. They don't seem to book too long term and are probably waiting to see who is over and who is not closer to WM before making any final decisions. I suspect that they will do what they can to make it special, but the show will sell itself regardless so the actual matchups, which makes me suspect that the specialness might come from elsewhere (celebrity involvement, old wrestlers making a return for one night, etc). Incidentally, WM is not 25 yrs old and will not be 25 when WM25 comes along. It always irks me when it is mentioned on tv and stuff as well, because it'll only be 24 since the first one, at time 0, was WM1.

If I remember what I read correctly, he feels that he is underpaid compared to the other guys and wants more. The sticking point is that normally his contract would be negotiated around now, but due to some stipulations without the contract it's been extended to take into account the time he lost due to injury. Eugene didn't have Autism, he was just slow. There is a difference. Oh I know that fully. Do you expect WWE writers to make that distinction though? Maybe I just have really low expectations lately. The sad thing is, you are correct about the writers. WWE writers would go out of their way to make sure they do something like that. I don't think that they'd do that with this event. It could very easily come off as mocking those with autism and the WWE uses these sorts of events to put on a good face for the public and garner some good PR.

They probably won't do it this way, but I'd like it if London sides with Michaels and in the story Michaels takes him on as a protege. So maybe a promo where Michaels says that London's got a lot of talent but he also has a lot to learn too, and over the next little while he "trains" London, until at some point down the road London beats Cade.

I'm liking what they are doing with Rhodes and Dibiase and am happy that they seem to be building up to the rumored young heels stable, but I am finding tonight's show kinda boring.... not sure what it is, but I am having trouble paying attention to it.

I have a question about Andre the Giant, but I need to preface it first. I've been into wrestling on and off since I was a child. I'd watch it a bit for awhile and then not watch it again for a few yrs. I didn't really watch it from 2000 til about 2007, with the exception of the occasional Raw or something I'd catch. Since then I've become very interested in wrestling again, watching the shows regularly and reading a lot about it. When it comes to Andre the Giant, I am more familiar with his later days, where he was losing his touch. However, I have also watched a number of his earlier bouts. It seems to me that Andre really wasn't that great a wrestler. While I am in no way suggesting that he wasn't an extremely important part of wrestling history (I happen to be a big fan still), it seems to me that his in-ring skills were rather limited and that the main thing he really had going for him is that he was a spectacle to behold. At the same time, some of that might be due to it being a different era with a style different from what I am used for (for instance this was before the days of chokeslams). Thing is that I am not knowledgeable enough to really determine who is a good worker and whatnot, so I honestly can't say if he was good or not. So with all the behind me, what I want to know is if Andre the Giant was actually a good worker.

I'm guessing this is the leadup to the inevitable taker return where vickie brings him back to teach edge a lesson. Personally, while I can't wait for taker to return, I would prefer if vickie and edge stick together for awhile longer. Vickie gets amazing heel heat and I can't see her really having much of a future in the company as a face.

I also think that they really messed up with santino here. Sure the match was hilarious, but it makes me wonder if they will ever make Santino a legitimate wrestler. It's getting to the point where I don't think it'll be possible without his leaving and coming back with an entirely new gimmick. Mind you, maybe they don't want him to be a serious wrestler. Maybe they prefer him to be a pure comedy act, but I wonder what kind of future he can have in the business as a pure comedy act. Incidentally, I am not anywhere near as knowledgeable as most of the people here, so maybe people can have long careers as comedy acts, but my gut instinct says that it is uncommon unless the character is a manager or something, and the WWE doesn't seem that interested in managers anymore (although Tony Atlas' current run in ECW might mean that they are interested in bringing them back).

The Score is only licensed for X amount of live programming (what a retarded licencing standard, btw - thanks CRTC or CBSC or whoever is responsible for this!) and when they picked up Raw in 2006, that put them over their alloted amount. I guess they have enough leeway to be able to air an episode live every now and then (most recently a Raw from Toronto) but the 9:15 concession is much better than when they used to wait until 10pm. 9:15 is a much better concession, but I agree that it sucks not to get it live. On a different notes, I was wondering how many tag teams people think are needed to have a strong tag division? I remember it being pretty strong back in the 80's but I'm not sure how many teams were active at any given time.

DrVenkman, I think that someone said this already but on wwe.com they are reporting that Cena dodged and was only grazed, thus Sunday's match will continue as scheduled. As a consequence, I suspect that 3 will happen... perhaps without the gauze. Aside from that, I wouldn't be surprised if this is how they bring back Regal. Given the chaos they might want be desperate to bring someone in, and given that the family is "busy" with the Vince stuff, they could say that their only other option was to rehire their last GM.

I could see both of that happening. I missed Raw last week, but I don't remember seeing her on tv for a couple weeks before that and I think that after the Melina feud she hasn't gotten much tv time (if any). This might be their way of giving her a big push again.

My biggest complaint about the show is that we never found out what was in Kane's bag and we also didn't have any sort of explanation for his breakdown last week.

A little earlier someone mentioned that Kane found the old mask hard to work in. Is that why they dropped the mask in the storyling?

What's the connection between Punk and Pepsi?

I was wondering if anyone knows why in Canada Raw is not broadcasted live. Or, at least on the Score (which is the channel it is on where I am), it is not broadcasted live. Instead we have a fifteen minute delay where the start of the show is just a recap of last week.
