  1. Wait, how do you do the triple jump moonsault?

Your wrestlers has to have weapon grapple. CM Punk, Elijah Burke, etc. When your opponent is laying face up on the mat grapple him at the head while you are holding a chair. For the Poetry in Motion, grapple your opponent while he is back against the turnbuckle in the corner while holding a chair.

Is the Van Daminator in the game?

  2. Don't forget Charlie Haas!

I want DiBiase basically for the purpose of changing Cody Rhodes theme music.

I forgot about him. I hope there are more DLC than just that. I just learned today about the Triple Jump Moonsault that Sabu used to do is in the game. So is a Superplex off of the ladder which sends your opponent to the outside. You have to have a stored special to do that. Is it possible to do the Swanton Bomb off of the top of the ladder?

  3. I always wondered whether the VG boards needed a mod.

On topic: I remember when Acclaim went out of business... the rights to Iggy's Wreckin' Balls went for $3000. Of course, that was for the rights to publish the Nintendo 64 game. In case of a Midway firesale, I call dibs on The Suffering.

Does anybody even miss Acclaim? For me it was good riddance. They set back PS1 Wrestling games a good 10 years back. I still cant believe the garbage they put out while THQ/AKI was just dominating. Who wants to press UP UP Down Down Square Triangle Left Circle to pull off a bodyslam?

  4. Thanks for the advice, YKRG.

Not a problem. What are you leaning towards doing? I want to get the 360 to play Left 4 Dead, Gears of War 1 and 2. My problem though is that I have the PS3 and I just bought Resistance 1, Smackdown 2009 and Fallout 3. I am still looking to get Resistance 2, Prince of Persia and Little Big Planet. I just dont have the time for everything.

  5. These issues have probably been addressed earlier in the thread. But I'm lazy & need help.

    1. If I get an XBOX 360, I should get at least the middle one (premium/pro), right?

    2. Is it okay to buy one off of ebay? Are there certain things too look for or look out for if buying one online? Or should I just bite the bullet and pay more at a store?

I am looking to buy an Xbox 360 as well to go with my PS3. I have been doing some research and checking out all the deals. I am just waiting to see if there is going to be a better one by the time Xmas comes around. My understanding is that if you are just a casual gamer, the 20gb pro model should be more than enough for space. All the new models come with the hdmi port. The best premium deal I have seen so far is one from Costco. $390 before tax you get the 60gb premium, 2 wireless controllers, Lego Indiana Jones, Kung Fu Panda and Gears of War 2. As well as a month of XBox Live Gold. My problem though is that Lego and Panda games both suck and you cant get anything for them on the resale market.

    2. If you buy one off of ebay make sure you are getting one that comes with an hdmi port. That is the indicator you look for to see if the model comes with the falcon chip. The falcon chip is what keeps your 360 from getting the rrod. I would also advise that you buy one that comes with an original sales receipt and hasn't been modified just in case something does happen to your system and that it is still under warranty. There is nothing wrong about buying used and putting the money saved towards games, controllers, live gold. Just as long as the system is in perfect working condition. I have had my Gamecube for almost 7 years now and it still works perfectly.

  6. So my 360 finally red-ringed today as I went to turn it on, so I'll be without mine for a while.

How long is the whole process going to take if I call Microsoft?

Also, it was purchased at Best Buy last year along with a 2 year product replacement plan, would Best Buy replace this or would I still have to go through Microsoft?

I dont have an Xbox but I would go with the product replacement plan and try to get one of the newer ones with the falcon chip in it.

  7. A friend of mine signed a one year lease to rent a town home in the state of Ga back in 2006. The lease expired in 2007 and they had been living there until a week ago. My friend found a new home in early November and gave the landlord of the previous home 3 weeks notice. The landlord contacted my friend today to notify them that he is not giving back the security deposit due to the failure of the 30-60 days notice. My contention is that the lease is no longer valid. I have looked online or the Laws of Georgia but I cannot find anything about expired leases.

  9. How is Jeff Hardy a breakout star? I view it as more of as more of a rookie of the year / most improved. Batista in 2005 would have been viewed as a breakout star, Edge in 98/99 would have been viewed as Roty.

Most improved, maybe. Rookie of the year? Hardly. Jeff & Matt are far past the rookie stage, dude.

I'm sorry, my point was that breakthrough star could mean one of two things. Most improved or Roty. I gave Batista as an example for most improved for 2005 when he became champ and beat HHH 3 times. I gave Edge for the 98/99 for Roty. I dont see Jeff Hardy as being this big breakthrough. I think CM Punk is the one who deserves it. The reason why I dont see Hardy as it is because he has been pushed before numerous times and has always been an upper mid carder.

  10. Here are a couple of steals for the Xmas season.

    Far Cry 2 Xbox 360 $37 on Amazon.com

    Dead Space $30 Target

    Fallout 3 $39 Amazon.com

Ebgames and gamestop.com, for all games over 50 dollars, put in save10 in the coupon code to get 10 dollars off. This lasts until December 31st and is a great way to save 10 dollars on all full priced games.

  11. Couple things:

    1) Cena's RtWM is lame in every respect. Even the unlockables (aside from the Tribute to the Troops set) are dumb. In what universe am I supposed to be impressed that I just unlocked a military guy I'll never use and fucking SNITSKY?!

    2) They really need to ditch the momentum system already. After playing Fire Pro for about a year I just can't fathom why they can't give us a system where you use weaker moves to wear down an opponent before being able to use power moves. At least have it as an alternate way to play so the kids that want to just FU an opponent 500 times are happy too.

    3) The jump from normal to hard is way too high as the CPU just reverses almost everything you do and your window to do your own reversals is way too small. I hate when they whip you into the corner and charge at you like they are going in for an attack but suddenly stop in their tracks and use a grapple. That's just cheap.

I've done 2 1/2 RtWMs (Jericho. Cena and HHH's DX portion) and I think it's a mode worth building on for next year.

    1. I haven't played Cenas but I do enjoy the RTWM alot more than previous career modes. I enjoy having a character specific storyline compared to having a generic one that is the same for each wrestler. I hope Orton and Edge get download content RTWM for this current game.

    2. I am playing on Hard difficulty and I have to to use weaker moves before I can use strong grapples. I enjoy the game the way it is. If I go for a strong grapple early on in the game the computer almost always reverses it or dodges out of the way.

    3. I understand your frustration but it is fixable. The difference in difficulty between normal and hard in diffulty is night and day. That is why they have sliders. I first started off the game playing normal and I was winning matches in 3 minutes. I went up to hard and I was losing matches in 10 minutes. For the sliders, I moved each one of the computer reversals 4 notches to the left and I moved the finisher damage two notches to the right. I also have the momentum meter on slow. This lead to realistic 10-15 minute matches with me winning 75-80 percent of the time. Now it is up to around 99 percent. I am either going to try out legendary or just up the computer reversals.

I agree with you here. I would make the RTWM a little bit longer for each character and try to get more wrestlers to have their own story. Edge, Orton, HBK should have had RTWM and Jeff/Matt Hardy for a tag team one.
