I've been watching some old Nitro circa 96-98 lately and it really has reminded me just how horrible of an announcer Tony Schiavone actually was. It seemed like at LEAST once a match he completely butchered the name of a move (calling powerslams sidewalk slams, calling arm drags armbars, calling regular piledrivers tombstones, calling the jackhammer the jackknife, etc.)... Has there EVER been a play-by-play guy who botched more calls/move names than Schiavone? -edit- I guess the title was a bit too long, lol

He needs to establish himself as a face enough to kill the heel heat before being thrown into a program with the company's top heel. It's wrestling 101 man.

Jericho / Rey would be MUCH better than Jericho / Morrison... Plus, Morrison is still getting heel heat from crowds, they need to work on that before throwing him in some hodge podge thrown together at the last minute program with the company's best Heel.

Stephanie McMahon held a meeting with the wrestlers at the last TV tapings and said that the company is looking to develop new stars. She said that there will be no holdbacks and for everyone to work as hard they can to achieve success. Wrestlers were also encouraged to come up with ideas for their characters and storylines. This is a major change for midcard talent, as in the past if you were not a top star then suggestions were not taken seriously. Some are skeptical on if this will lead to major creative changes for the company in the future, as most talent feel the only way to get over is during their promos, as majority of the crowd are not focused on their superb in-ring work. HF2.0 will fail anyways, because none in the group can work the mic and not even Bret Hart himself could get over wearing hot pink this day in age. O'Shaunessy just got called up to the main roster, so a Finlay/O'Shaunessy team might be imminent. And can't get over in pink? Good thing HF2.0 is using the Pink to get cheap heat, just like why the original HF started wearing pink so many years ago.

I spent the majority of that segment taking my dog out to shit, and I have to say that was far more entertaining to watch than that shit that Show/Cena put on last night... Snoozefest doesn't even begin to describe how horribly boring that was.

You don't have to be a good worker to be a good manager and give off the appearance of having 'ring knowledge'. Some of the BEST ever were either horrible workers or not workers at all... Jimmy Hart, Jim Cornette, and Bobby Heenan couldn't work their way out of a paper bag because they weren't wrestlers, but they sure could get someone over who couldn't work the mic well or might not have the best personality. Santino has a sound enough understanding of how to work a crowd that he could be used to make others into legitimate heels and seem like a real manager in the process, because he's never going to be anything other than the weekly 5 minute comic relief as a worker IMO.
