From JRs blog. Macho Man DVD Hosts: From what I have heard, Matt Striker and Maria did the on cameras for the June release of the Macho Man Randy Savage DVD release which features 3 disc's of Savage's best bouts. Simply by looking at the match compilation, this seems as if it will be an excellent DVD for Macho Man fans who have been clamoring for a Savage DVD from WWE for years. Striker particularly knows the impressive history of Randy Savage and I am sure we will get some unique "nuggets of wisdom" from Mr. "I Hate Pronouns" who rivals the King as one the WWE's most skilled "ladies men."

Quick question regarding these new games. The last one I purchased was EA's MVP 05 for the PS2 and I haven't played anything that has come out since then, is a transition to The Show for PS3 going to be difficult? I'm aware there will be some difficulty as it's a different engine and a better system.

Any idea on who the commentators will be for the MLB Network? I saw Costas on the channel a couple of days ago, so I assume he'll be free to do so at some point. I don't know why but part of me is hoping for him to be paired with Olbermann. I know it'll never happen, but it could be nice.

Calendar year. They wrestled at SuperBrawl III and then against the Steiners at SummerSlam '93.

Yep. Are the Heavenly Bodies the only team to have a tag title match on WCW and WWF pay-per-views in the same year? Granted Stan Lane was a member for the first match, it's still the same gimmick.

Granted they were just there in '05, what about the LA Coliseum? They couldn't fill it for 7, I'm sure they could fill it now. -

Smackdown vs Raw 2009 on PS3: Nolan Ryan would've been proud with the way I tossed my controller after losing a nearly 2 1/2 hour Last Man Standing match for the Cruiserweight title against Jimmy Wang Yang of all people. For some reason he just would not stay down. I put him through everything, hit him with everything and the closest I got was a 9.999 count because Mike Chioda was busy marking out for the Ghetto Blaster rather than being ready to count the man down. Ecco the Dolphin on the Genesis: For some reason I had acquired this game as a youngster and it would soon become the bane of my existance. I could never figured out how to beat the octopus in level two (I think). It probably didn't help that I never really figured out how to properly play the game in the first place. Anyway, it came to a head one day when I shattered the cartridge after chucking it into my Bret Hart wall collage. A couple years ago I bought the Sega Genesis Collection for the PS2 and low and behold Ecco the freakin' Dolphin was on it. I still never beat that octopus. -
Damn it Penn! You no good creep! You skirt wearing freak!

Almost. A quick look at Michaels' book says that incident had taken place a couple months before the Survivor Series.

While watching the latest Nitro, I thought they might end the Benoit Embargo and show his match with Raven since the commentary hyping his match was left intact. Wrong! On the subject of RAW, Jarrett's ridiculous theme aside, what's up with all of the foul language this week? I know that this was around the time when they were really pushing the envelope but this week's episode seemed like everything was turned up to 11. Any special reason or was this just another step into the Attitude Era?

Did they edit out Hogan's subtle carny during the first aid room scene with Elizabeth? Reference: 4:55 - 5:05

Tazz reminds me of Steinbrenner (Larry David) when he gets all worked up. "I am blown away JR! Blow-ow-ow-ow-ow-owwn awaaay!" -
WWF @ Philadelphia, PA - Spectrum - August 24, 1991 Jimmy Snuka pinned Col. Mustafa Ricky Steamboat pinned Kato The Bushwhackers defeated Hercules & Bob Bradley (sub. for Paul Roma) when Luke pinned Bradley Bret Hart defeated Sgt. Slaughter via disqualification after Gen. Adnan threw powder in Hart's face IRS pinned Virgil The Mountie & the Natural Disasters defeated the Big Bossman & the Legion of Doom when Mountie pinned Bossman The Ultimate Warrior defeated the Undertaker in a bodybag match ------------------------------------------------------- Pretty average show looking back at the card now but I had a blast at the time. I don't remember too much from it other than being psyched to finally get a Bossman foam nightstick and somebody launching a full ice cream cone from the upper deck (I'm guessing) to our floor seats and it landing on my grandfather during Undertaker's entrance. This was two days before SummerSlam so it's kind of weird seeing Hart and Slaughter duke it out considering they were on opposite ends of the Spectrum ().

Anyone catch the last episode TNT? Good lord is Jake out of it. I was half expecting him to go Heroes of Wrestling on everybody. "I'm a send tretter not a send follower."

Am I in the minority here when I say that Savage is just horrible during the 10/11/94 RAW? He reminds me of a neon Don West here. Good thing he left when he did.
