How many World champs turned during their reign?
caboose replied to Dandy's topic in General Wrestling
I wouldn't class Orton as turning in that way. I'd say he turned from a polished turd into a piece of shit. -
Just as long as this doesn't lead to any actual appearances for the WWE I'm more than happy.
-
He'd just miss out. If he could play on the left hand side, maybe. But central midfield is another of England's pleasant headaches, like centre-back.
-
I personally prefer Scott Parker, personal bias aside, because once he covers the defence he can bring it forward a lot more convincingly than King, but you just know Sven's mind is already made up.
-
Your probably right, but Smith should not go to the World Cup because A) King, Parker and Carrick are better choices for the holding role and, B) the guy hasn't played up front in almost a year for United so he's not going to be sharp. I'll pick a 22 man squad that is based on the reality of choices and my own personal preferences... (Injuries aside) GK Paul Robinson GK Chris Kirkland GK David James (I don't want him there, but Sven will take him) RB Gary Neville RB/Def Jamie Carragher Def Rio Ferdinand Def Sol Campbell Def John Terry LB Ashley Cole Def/M Ledley King LB/LW Kieron Richardson (I know he's been shit recently but he can play the two left-sided roles and hopefully he joins WBA in January) RW David Beckham M Frank Lampard M Steven Gerrard LW Joe Cole M Scott Parker RW Shaun Wright-Phillips F Michael Owen F Wayne Rooney F Darren Bent F Jermain Defoe F ? I sat and thought about it for 15 minutes and the only other English striker I'd be willing to take is Mr. Shearer, but unless Sven begs like a cheap whore, thats not going to happen. Crouch is an option because his height would cause problems, like it did against Argentina, but I might be more inclined to take Heskey because at least he has been scoring this season. But taking Heskey is perhaps the stupidest thing I've ever suggested.

Could DC possibly turn Earth-2 Superman evil? Alexander Luthor is living up to his name me thinks.
-
Is it even worth me getting it for the PS2?

I don't see why its the end of the world, I'm not EA's biggest fan or anything, but they can't do any worse than the generally shoddy history of Simpsons games.

I demand a Edge and Christian DVD now.

Thats reminds of my old housemate from Uni who was a spurs fan. The number of times he'd bang on my door to announce a new signing was hilarious the "transfers" included Rivaldo, Morientes (when he was good), Raul, Ronaldo, Schevchenko, Roberto Carlos and pretty much very other player to have appeared on the front of a FIFA game box.

Because Anakin's emotions are clouding his judgement. -
Exactly, thats why I think Darkseid is showing up in a big way before this things over.
-
Uberboss at DC Dan DiDio has stated that Darksied has jack shit to do with Infinite Crisis and will be MIA during the mini-series. Yeah but this is the same DC that denied Infinite Crisis had anything really to do with the original Crisis.

That's the rocket John Byrne used in "Man of Steel"...wasn't the rocket (like the rest of Superman's origin) revised for Birthright? I can't help but wonder if they'll try to explain the difference between Man of Steel continuity and Birthright continuity. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thats also been puzzling me recently. Just how can the varying Birghright/Man of Steel origins create two different Supermen, when Birthright is simply eliminating Man Of Steel from continuity?

Giving away the first part of Long Halloween with the comic always stood out when I read the details for the deluxe set, as the other two stories had a much more direct link to Batman Begins. However I think Long Halloween's inclusion maybe a way to firstly get people into the comics and also an introduction to the Dent character. And further from this, whats the chances of a 'Holiday' subplot being introduced in the sequel and then exploding into the third film as the main story?

Perez has been burying Lee when it comes to the covers.

Non Wrestler but I think it counts. At Wrestlemania XX, in the main event after Triple H tried to roll out of the Crossface, I screamed "TAP YOU SONOFABITCH TAP!" as loud as possible, the immediate twenty or so people around me just stared at me in shock, but consquently they all of missed the finish.
-
If anything, I think 'the chemical bath' origin should be avoided so not to draw a more direct comparison to the Jack Nicholson portrayal, which may damage the sequel because of the affection Jack's performance got from the mainstream and casual fan.

Um, Wallace and Gromit is without doubt the best film on that list.
-
He must know. Lucious just has to turn on the TV to see a Black Tumbler ripping up rooftops.

Another vote for Johnny Cash's 'Hurt' cover from me. Deftones - 'Be Quiet & Drive (Far Away)' Grandaddy - 'Jed The Humanoid' Alice In Chains - 'Nutshell'

The other thing is that emotion is clearly clouding Mace's judgement by the time Anakin arrives. Mace's decision to kill Palpatine without trial is a demonstration of this.
