There's a bill in the New Hampshire state legislature to do it here in NH. However, I can't see it passing because of our incredible lack of a tax base here. If the state lost highway funding, we'd be fucked. Having no income nor sales tax makes it hard to take a stand on something that could cost you money.

WWE General Discussion - March 2009

WWE needs to figure out a way to reference Benoit in wrestling history, they can't write out a former World Champion forever. I nominate just listing him as "that guy."

    WWE Raw - March 9, 2009

With Randy Orton being married, why couldn't they use his real wife? Is she not attractive enough for Vince or something? I mean, I can't imagine that Laura Croft is that much better at acting than Orton's wife.

    ECW Spoilers for 3/10

And WWE put an end to the argument by having Matt Hardy say that he's never held a World Title.

    A challenge for BruiserBrody.

I REALLY want to see Brody read this. Do it as an over the top emotional soap opera style dialogue (that's how I read it). Really sad story though, poor guy.

    ECW Spoilers for 3/10

You're really the only one who goes against anyone who says the ECW is a world title. That kinda sucks that Christian is in the Money in the Bank match, I was really hoping him and Swagger would have an awesome match at Wrestlemania. Maybe we'll get Swagger vs Dreamer at Wrestlemania. That'd be pretty interesting. I'll argue that the ECW Championship isn't a World Championship just based on the caliber of the talent that have held it since its return in 2006. To consider the ECW Title a World Title would severely dilute the prestige of a World Championship in professional wrestling. Wrestling isn't real but we as viewers do need to see something as the pinnacle of achievement for wrestlers. For example, how many of us were more excited to see CM Punk as the World Heavyweight Champion than seeing him win the ECW Title? I see the ECW Title as a step between the Intercontinental/US Championships and the World Championships. Of course given the fact that Jack Swagger and Chavo Guerrero have held the ECW Championship and Punk is holding the IC Title, you could even argue that the ECW Title is below the US/IC Titles.

    2009 Hall of Fame

I'd mark if B. Brian Blair and Jim Brunzell got into the Hall of Fame. I wouldn't want HTM to induct them. The Iron Sheik HAS to induct The Killer Bees.

    ECW Spoilers for 3/10

I thought that Chavo Guerrero competing in the Royal Rumble as ECW Champion would've done that. Why wouldn't Chavo want a chance to be a dual champion? If a World Champion wins the Rumble, can he opt to sit out Mania? After all, he has no challengers and thus could just choose to sit it out. Of course, the GM could force him to face the other World Champion. That'd be neat for a heel champion to try one year, win the Rumble so he won't have to defend the belt at Mania.

Why would a club want to bother letting in someone underage, even excluding the liability issues should he or she manage to finagle a drink off someone? Assuming that the underage person isn't drinking, that's a body taking up space that isn't paying for more than a couple of $2 sodas all night. Most busy clubs are wall-to-wall with people, and the ownership surely wants them to be drunk, paying people. That's ignoring the vast number of clubs that 18+ though. The owners let in people who obviously aren't going to be drunk just because they're in that legal limbo place between 18 and 21. My issue was that I had someone questioning whether or not I was over 18 (based on a driver's license that I got when I was 16 that isn't due to be renewed until I'm 21) because of my driver's license being a different color than the one in his handbook. Of course, it sucks that my former state (North Carolina) is the only state that color codes according to age. I got unlucky that I happened to run into a guy who didn't understand this and instead insisted that I was faking the ID. His complete inability to use professional judgment was baffling. I had a school ID and another form of picture ID to prove my identity. He threatened to call the cops to run the license and once I dared him to, he changed his reasoning to, "that doesn't look like you." The obvious solution for me would be to get a New Hampshire license since I don't plan on returning home after I graduate. However, students aren't allowed to get driver's licenses since we have no permanent residence in the state. I don't know how many more times I'll have to deal with this "That ID is fake" crap just because of my former state's laws. I think the answer is better training of bouncers, especially in locales where you are likely to encounter out of state forms of ID.

Lil Wayne is releasing a rock album

I wouldn't even say that Lollipop is thinly veiled, it's pretty blatant in what it's trying to say. Prince's songs were more, "Ohhhhhh, THAT'S what he meant" in terms of his sexual innuendos.

    Moments So Contrived

Within the context of pro wrestling? No. We've seen numerous crimes committed on the air in pro wrestling and no one has done anything about it. Why weren't Harley Race or Triple H arrested when they put out a bounty? Why wasn't Austin arrested when he broke into Brian Pillman's home? Why weren't the Horsemen arrested for assaulting Dusty Rhodes in the parking lot? Why wasn't The Undertaker arrested for kidnapping Stephanie McMahon? You could go on and on. Wrestling is a lot like soap operas. You can commit a horrific crime and law enforcement doesn't bat an eyelash. If you don't buy that then you could argue that Mr. McMahon was just really unpopular backstage and no one gave a crap about him. Of course, Austin wasn't threatening to murder him for the entire two hours. He had just kidnapped Vince, he didn't bring up murder until he brought out the gun in the ring. Are YOU about to approach a gun wielding, recently unemployed psycho?

Lil Wayne is releasing a rock album

Give Lil Wayne credit though, he managed to get a song about fellatio to #1 and made it a popular dance song amongst teenage and young adult girls. I don't know if that's a commentary on his skill or a commentary on how stupid young women are today.

    Moments So Contrived

That wasn't contrived, that was just Austin being a sadistic bastard. He wanted to make Vince think that he had finally gone over the edge and was willing to murder him live on national TV. In the end, it turned out to be a sadistic mind game that caused Vince to piss his pants (adding to the embarrassment).

    Jericho and Kelly Kelly

To be fair, that hug looked more like a "Hey friend, how are you?" hug. You know, as opposed to getting drunk and having her friend post the pics saying that you're her "bf." Of course, Jericho could be taking over Batista's role as the WWE pimp.

    Unauthorized Tattoos!

That seems incredibly low considering the high cost living in Tampa, Florida and the time demands that being a developmental talent has. $26,000 in Florida is just incredibly bad. It may have worked in Kentucky but I feel for the dudes in FCW now.

    Jericho and Kelly Kelly

Kelly in the sink (slightly NSFW) What proof do we need? How about something other than pictures that could simply be a guy getting caught up in heavy partying and drinking. I doubt he's the first guy to do something like that while married. How about Kelly's friend referring to them as an item? Well, I'm convinced. Her friend said it so obviously it's true. A combination of sexually provocative pictures and the word of a friend not enough to even make you think it? This is an example of a smark double standard. When pictures of Taker and Michelle first surfaced, we were willing to believe that they were a couple based off of them holding hands. While it has been confirmed by IWC news sources (I think so anyway), people were extremely willing to believe that Taker was cheating on Sara and didn't want to give him the benefit of the doubt. However, when it's Chris Jericho, we're reluctant to even entertain the thought.

If you're a buying a lap dance, there's a good chance that there is an emotional (or sexual) void in your marriage SOMEWHERE as you are seeking outside stimulation. It may not be a troubled marriage (on the surface) but you are looking for sexual pleasure from another woman. I'm not here to get into an argument about the morals of fucking lapdancing.

    Jericho and Kelly Kelly

This picture proves nothing, I've taken pictures with girls where we are in almost the same facial pose and we weren't dating. Case in point Actually it's not that uncommon, it's called a lap dance and they go on at least several times a day at your local strip club. I'm sure that men who buy lap dances aren't exactly in stable marriages either. Why buy a lap dance when you have someone at home? Face it, Jericho and Kelly are an item. The pictures that we've seen come pretty close to proving that. We've seen them in a position of simulated sex so now, do we need to see them in a lip lock? Do we need a Jericho/Kelly sex tape? What proof do we need?

Except for the fact that those pictures were taken on different nights. Well, either that, or he got his cut between the eyes on that night, because he doesn't have it in picture one. They're all wearing the exact same outfits from picture to picture so it looks like Jericho DID pick up that cut from a fight. I doubt Jericho and Kelly would wear the same outfit twice to the same place in what appears to be a short time frame. If Bill Watts was running things, Jericho would be unemployed right now. Those clearly aren't the same clothes. Kelly is wearing jeans in the first picture of the three picture series, and a short skirt in the next two. Jericho has on a similar colored shirt in all the pictures, but it's not the same shirt. Your theory was that they were at this party, smiling and taking pictures...Jericho has some sort of fight where he gets busted open, has to get stitches, but his hair, clothes, and the rest of his face are unharmed...then they spent the rest of the night smiling for pictures again like nothing happened. Please cancel my subscription to your newsletter. I was mainly looking at Jericho's shirt. But yeah, thanks for the clarification. You didn't have to be so confrontational but thanks.

Yeah, my friend was pushing me to go because he figured that it'd be a change of pace from partying on campus. In hindsight though, I almost wish that the bouncer had called the cops out to run my license because then he would've looked like a giant jackass. The only downside to partying on campus is that partying is usually restricted to frat houses and if you're looking to pick up women, that is an INCREDIBLE detriment because most women are only out to hook up with frat boy types (obviously) so if you don't fit that mold, it could be a long night. I'd add THAT to the list of things that anger me but it's more of an annoyance.

The Things That Anger You Thread.

I got one: Going to an 18+ club and having to spent 15 minutes trying to explain to some bouncer that your ID is legit. My home state color codes licenses according to age level (under 18, under 21...etc.) and because of this, I didn't have the license that was in his little picture book (Since obviously an ID book would only have the over 21 license). This led to these exchanges: Him: "So, where'd you get the ID?" Me: "Department of Motor Vehicles" --- Him: "Do you want me to call the police out here to run it?" Me: "Go ahead!" --- Him: "This doesn't look like you." Me: "I got it when I was 16, obviously there are going to be changes." So to appease the Rhodes Scholar in front of me, I produce a school ID and another membership card that I have. All with my picture and birthdate on it mind you. He still insists that I'm a minor. He eventually decided to let me in "against his best judgment." This is why I prefer to party only on campus, you don't to deal with douchebag bouncers who lack common sense.
