Simple Jack

I just got back from seeing it, and I honestly wish I hadn't read the book first. Not because the movie is worse, I actually thought it was really well done (with a couple odd song choices) it's just tough to watch that long of a movie that is so faithful to the book, since you know exactly what's going to happen and are just looking for the differences from one to the other. I think if i had watched the movie first I would definitely had liked it better than the book. I thought the ending was way better the way they did it, I always thought the giant squid just seemed stupid and random in the book.
