  1. What if...

    HHH didn't tear his quad?

-Which time in regards to Hunter?

    I'm pretty sure 2001.

The only thing that changes is probably that HHH and Austin join Shane and WCW. Then Angle, Jericho, Benoit and later Rock do battle against WCW (and ECW). You probably don't have Steph as the owner of ECW but you have an uneasy alliance between ECW and WCW. I could see a Triple H/Jericho feud throughout that summer (and a Benoit/Austin feud that transitions into Angle/Austin).

So the only thing that really changes is probably Jericho doesn't turn heel as fast and Angle never turns.

  2. What if Brian Pillman hadn't gotten injured in the car crash and was still alive?

What if Brock Lesnar doesn't develop a fancy for the NFL and UFC?

What if Eddie Guerrero (or Chris Benoit) died one week later - possibly after winning a world title?

What if Owen didn't break Austin's neck?

What if Bischoff bought WCW instead of Vince?

What if Chris Benoit didn't, well, you know. I always wondered what would have happen with Punk and Morrison on ECW.

There would have been no scrambling to shift the product to a PG/kid friendly audience.

It was still heading that way anyways...pretty much since 2002.

  3. Kmart's running a huge WWE sale this week. Cena, Edge, Hell in the Cell, DX, SNME dvd sets are $15 apiece. Wrestlemanias 20, 22 and 24 are $13. And if you buy $50 worth of WWE merchandise, you get $10 off Wrestlemania 25 on PPV.

Any word how much the Blu-Ray version of Mania 24 is?

I dunno, but you can get a used copy (usually in near-perfect shape) at Second Spin for about $11.50+tax with the coupon code SSBIGMARCH (20% off and free shipping)

  4. CPAC's straw poll picks Romney as the GOP frontrunner.

    http://www.cnn.com/2009/POLITICS/02/28/cpac/index.html

So, if this CPAC conference is any indication, the motto for Republican Party for the next 4 years will be "we weren't conservative enough."

On behalf of the Democratic Party, I'd like to say:

Yes, that's exactly right. Keep believing that, and we'll be no match for you.

Second is Kenneth the tour guide, third is Ron Paul and fourth is a dog with lipstick.

    Ouch, they're SCREWED.

  5. Yup, it's legit. Here's a link with artwork: http://www.silvervision.co.uk/products/Mac...VD-3-Discs.html

    Apparently legit:

"He was one of the most controversial superstars in history of sports entertainment, through his complicated relationship with Miss Elizabeth, his dramatic WWE championship tournament run at WrestleMania IV, the formation and explosive breakup of the MegaPowers with Hulk Hogan, his reign as the Macho King, and his shocking jump to WCW. "Macho Man" Randy Savage brought a chaotic poetry to the ring. He's widely considered one of the finest in-ring competitors of all time, and his interviews were always a sight to behold. For the first time ever, fans can relive the entire storied career in Macho Madness: The Ultimate Randy Savage Collection, a 3-DVD set that spans two decades of exciting and intense matchups.

  6. Hogan On Verne Gagne: Verne had everybody convinced that he was this great shooter. When Hogan was in the territory he started selling t-shirts on his own. After returning from a tour of Japan he discovered that Gagne was now in the Hulk Hogan t-shirt business. Hogan was steamed and confronted Verne at the next TV taping. Verne said "I got my cut, you get yours". Then he said "How much have you learned from Matsuda?" and Hogan said "enough to beat your ass". So Verne jumps up from his desk and tried to take him down, but Hogan put him in a front face lock and then pie faced him, knocking out his teeth and messing up his bozo the clown hair. Verne ran to the bathroom to put his teeth back in and Greg Gagne started to take his sweater off to go after Hogan but one of the other guys talked some sense into him. When Verne returned from the bathroom he got in Hogan's face and said he would get even with him, but he never did. Bubba made a joke about Verne thinking he's so tough that he's pushing down elderly men but Hogan said that Verne didn't mean anything by it and then Bubba added that Verne has dementia and they dropped the topic.

I have a feeling it's Hogan BSing like he always does, but if this actually happened, I might have to like Hulk.

  7. Oh and they completely misused the rights to air SNL reruns. You think if you had the right to show reruns of America's most celebrated and longest running sketch comedy show you'd show more than once a week and not rotate between the same ten or so episodes, no?

You reminded that I was going to say Comedy Central for this thread, but they have Futurama/Scrubs reruns now plus more frequent Daily Show/Colbert Report replays. They should get rid of the MAD TV reruns and bring back the SNL reruns once E! neglects to renew it. I miss Kids in the Hall, the UK Whose Line and Win Ben Stein's Money, though.

  8. Yeah that Christian comeback on ECW tonight was truly surprising. I'm still trying to figure out why he's on ECW or if he's just on there for a bit and will show up on SD as well. He can't only be on ECW, it makes no sense. His match with Swagger was quite good though, so maybe he can work with these young guys and get them over.

I'm thinking they just switched the roles Matt Hardy and Christian were "expected" to have.

This works better though. Swagger needs more veterans to feud with and Christian was doomed to job to Orton or Cena on RAW or become Jeff's surprising new friend or Edge's lackey on SD. And it leaves Matt and Jeff alone so we can get Matt/Jeff at WM.
