Yeah but everyone knew it was going there, and 8 million week in week out is a solid fanbase. You had to expect more and more people jumping off the ship as things got more and more heavy, and it hasn't been that bad considering how far off the deep end they've jumped the last two season. If you consider how many people tuned in on the idea of a plane crashing on a desert island, and how far from that central theme the show has gone, it's amazing they've been able to hold an audience at all. I was telling my friend he should watch it, and he said "Yeah I like the idea of people trying to survive on a deserted island." and all I could say was "well forget it then, because the shows not about that anymore.". It's come so far from where it started you have to be overly dedicated to this show to stay into it. And to have 8 many people as dedicated as you have to be to watch this show can only be considered a good thing. It's not the 18 million that were around for the premier but if it stayed that strong John Locke would have a shot in the 2012 election.

It's been going head to head with AI, which is suicide for any other show. The fact that they've been able to maintain a core of 8 million is a sign that they are safe as pees in a pod.

I really thought they were all throwaway characters that would be killed off, especially after Ben shot Ceaser, but nice to see them having a purpose. And yes, John "Baddest Motherfucker on the Planet" Locke has officially arrived.

Yeah you can't exactly toss the season on April but this is just not what you want to see early. Wang is coming off an injury that could be career killing, so his start is a bit more troubling than CC.
