The booking did help to hide their weaknesses and it did play off to a great dramatic effect , and the commentary was spot on. Plus Yoko seemed to have more energy that night then I have ever seen from him. He didn't do nearly as many rest holds as usual and the action stayed at a nice pace for most of the match. Plus even Luger seemed to be "up" for the match. I think the fans would have bought Lex winning the thing, but I don't know about his ability to draw as a champion.

I think the summerslam 93 luger vs yoko is a pretty good match. minus the lame finish. I mean considering it was LEX LUGER vs YOKOZUNA, you couldnt dream for a better match. However the wm x rematch is horrible

Funny when karma bites you in the ass hey shawn? but truthfully Hogan is a complete a-hole for doing this, as Shawn, who mind you is a current full-time wrestler with WWE, had to have his finisher buried and lose convincingly to Hogan, remember shawn still has to work there while Hogan goes back trying to whore his daughter out to the music world. Not that I should feel too bad about shawn considering his past. But none of this is really surprising to any of us is it? This is Mr Ego Hulk Hogan after all. well at least the DC crowd ate it up. and the match wasnt as bad as I thought it would be.

I also am reluctant to buy tv show sets on dvd (or hell any movie that I like( cuz realistically I wont watch them that much (and in this case would watch them for the commentaries and such) . Here my fox affilaite (KTTV LA) shows the Simpsons three times a day on weekdays at 6 and 7:30 pm, then again at 11:30 pm. On weekends I think they show them too but I forget when. But since the syndication tends to show A lot of the same episodes over and over, I might buy some of the sets after all. Ill definately buy 9, if only for the NY episode that my fox wont show after 9/11 (before they used to show it all the time) and those head boxes look moronic They forget that the dvd box/case as nearly as important at the discs themselves to us fans.

again far too many matches that are already on dvd but its ok. Ill still buy it. Why woudl they put the wm 9 match vs yoko on there? I mean its better than the wm 10 one but Bret jobs and Hogan gets to steal his spotlight. But this is his project so this must be what he likes the most.

LOL the back of the dvd case mentions "In Your House: One Night Only" geez someone is sleeping here. It wasnt an IYH it was a UK exclusive ppv. IS there anyone checking for facts at WWE? Remidns me of how the anthology cd set had "Deadly Game" (the survivor series 1998 theme) as an IYH theme.

Thats because they used it for the ladder match. You think Vince would spend extra for two briefcases? TSK TSK any event The show was lackluster, Though Orton-Taker was just as good as the WM 21 Match and had a intersting finish that played off the previous match (this time Cowboy Bob got it done right) and for once Taker basically put over someone clean (Bob didnt attack him so it was clean to me) Also liked the harkening back to WM with the tombstone reversals spot, as this time Orton's shoulder didnt give out and he remembered to counter. The ladder macth had a few too many contrived (and badly blown) spots and too much sportz-entertainment to be a great match Hogan-Shawn was a decent match and better than you could have expected as HBK bumped his ass off for Hogan, but Hogans slowness took away any chance of it being anything speical or memorable. and you would think Shawn would know better than to hit Hogan when he started hulking up (after making fun of him for weeks for doing the same things over and over) The handshake was fine as Hogan is probably gone (for this year) anyway, unless he sticks around to hype his show some more. And Shawn never really turned heel as the crowds continued to have a lot of support for him as well (well of course not in Montreal but thats a given) and outside of last weeks raw he never tried to insult the people or anything and he still was slapping hands last night before the match. But the crowd seemed to like it so no biggee. I But I agree I hope he does turn fullblown cuz it would be better. I think the Batista-JBL match was purposely toned down so as not to steal the spotlight from the main event. they didnt want a long, bloodly brawl with huge spots cuz one the time contraints and 2 Hogan would have complained Though Cena-Jericho was easily better than the main event too. The crowd was fun and I was rooting for Jericho despite having only Cena in my fantasy team. The loud "that was three!" chant after a Jericho near-fall made the night for me. No matter how much they bury Chris, the crowd was always respect him and buy him as a threat. This was the best match Cena has had since he won the title -that I have seen (I haven't see judgment day yet) Best Match-Cena-Jericho and Orton-Taker run pretty close together Worst Match- Matt-Edge At first lats night I though they were just trying to build to a rematch at unforgiven . but now You know reading some of your comments now I also think WWE is just trying to bury Matt for daring to tell the world the truth and almost runing WWE storylines by having to turn Lita heel and deal with loud chants on tv they didnt want. Benoit pulling A warrior was markout city for me. Though him winning a midcard tile one year after being in the summerslam main event makes me sad a bit.

He still wound up getting a pin over Austin at No Mercy. It still doesn't change the fact that Austin didn't refuse to put Hunter over at Summerslam. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> One of the key reasons for that was to set up the rematch where Triple H would prove he could beat Austin one on one (and of course Austin being too banged up to give a proper match for that big of a stage) and because They didn't want Jesse Ventura(Not sure if it was Jesse or WWF who didnt like the potential image there) to raise the hand of a heel so they gave Foley the "thank you for putting everyone over, here's a one day reign for your efforts" win. Also; since we are on this subject, What was the deal with the Chyna=#1 contendership? Were they thinking of doing HHH/Chyna at some point and were testing the waters? I do think that Chyna at that point could have done good numbers in a main event situation. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thats the same reason I though Mankind won at summerslam 99, they wanted a face to win the match and austin was to abnged up to have another match with HH the next night and theyd rather save it for a PPV (wound up no mercy)

I added christian figuring hell get arevenge match vs one of the mexicools this week and perhaps even finally win a match? HAd 1 mil left so I picked maria for the hell of it.

wish I had taped that. too abd this means a velocity feud for regal and scotty probably and yes I believe he had one of his wcw robes on and he did the hand behind the back things. I too was perplexed at the Ken Anderson-Kennedy name change, but if you notcied last week his tights read KK on them, perhaps Anderson is his real last name and Kennedy his wrestling name. as you know when WWE uses jobbers they usually make them use their real names instead of gimmick ones. Since now Ken is apparntly going to be on the roster they let him have his gimmick back. anyhow you got to love a guy who insists on doing his own ring intros.

Well for the first time this season all the guys in my roster who were in PPV matches (thats all of them cept for melina) won their matches. Good thing I decided to pick Randy instead of Matt, as he got me 62 total points for the week (to slightly make up for the fact that I didnt pick Benoit-cuz they ddint annoucne his ppv match till raw last week- who wound up with 68) Im up to 331th place! ( a big jump considering I started last week in near the thousands) as I got 249 points at the ppv (if my calculations are correct) But still not on the week leader board sadly. But I was just 12 points behind the leader for the week and now have a total of 2043 poitns this season, 230 points behind the overall leader. My top scorer this week turned out to be Cena with a total of 72 from Raw and SS my points for week 10 broke down like this (scores grand totals of the week prior) Batista-58 Hogan-63 Cena-72 Angle-64 Orton-63 Mysterio-63 Melina-23 for a grand total of 405 points I cant figure out who to pick for this week (11) right now I have Team: IWC 4 Life Nunzio Angle Benoit Animal and Heidenreich (theyve been getting squash wins for like 4 or 5 weeks now every week, I assume theyll be at leats one more this week-cuz I guess this week Animal gives Heidei some LOD tights to finish his image makeover) Orton Mysterio and 4.5 mil left in the bank what to do what to do.
