The interesting thing is the lineup this year isnt that far off from what it was last year, yet they arent hitting as consistently outside of jeter, arod and sheff. The offense last year allowed them to come from behind more if the started faltered. right now one of two things happens, the starter has a horrible time falls behind, and they score a few more runs but cant cath up, or the starter does well enough, but the offense can't produce. Pavano has hurt them alot this year as well as wright. As I ahve been saying for months, they should have held onto hernandez and lieber. There is no real quick fiz here, they just have to play better. The problem is the constant pressure they are under in NY. I watched the game on ESPN and Joe Morgan discussed that very thing. These guys shouldn't have to be told what to do, they know how to play. But when you lose, it can be contagious, just like winning, which is why they are so hot and cold this year IMO. The hitters are pressing at the plate and the fielders are so nervous that they are making mistakes, like last night. Plus ever changing outfielders who don't belong there are killing the defense. They do need to get a good defensive cf soon, so when matsui gets healthy he can return to left and sheff plays the right and you have an every day outfield trio then. Hey it's still too early to tell. I won't give up on my team, heck if they can salvage a playoff appearance out of this, it will be a big victory IMO regardless of their playoff performance. But it's also very realistic that they wont make it, which will be fine, I can deal with that after dealing with worse losses in year's past (like the 01 ws), because to be a Yankee fan you have to take the good with the bad and the verbal abuse from all those haters out there. The only thing that bothers me is the haters enjoying this. Drives me nuts and makes me want them to break out of the slump in a big way. I mean they haven't even won a championship in 5 years so why all the hate still? Get over it, steinbrenner is a crazy old man millionaire who throws around money, and often it bites him in the ass. Of course the real reason for the hate is evident to me..... But no matter what NYC will apparantly continue to be the center of America's uinverse so don't worry about it, every town has their good points right? No reason to hate being second best or third best or 500th best. Of course I'm just a disgruntled Cali transplanted new yorker so you probably should just ignore me.

Yea He really should have jobbed to eugene cmon I cant belive someone would argue that. But you make a good point I suppose. Hey he aint the only guy who refused jobs, Hogan was a far worse offender IMO. -

Yea he has been pushed at the top for so long, he can't be buried with clean losses. Hell he jobbed to the brooklyn brawler in 2000 and didn't miss a step so I don't think this will hurt him. -

I believe Iggy meant , new to the main event level. HHH has helped to elevate Batista to that top star level and made him look legit as well. -
Edge needs the win tonight, so that he may challenge Batista or Cena at summerslam (remember the briefcase). otherwise they have blown a chance at a new heel.

I have to agree, though I think he did do a good job with Benoit as he only got like 1 win in a singles match vs him. Batista got three clean wins on ppv (save kinda the visual pinfall with the ref down at backlash), disocounting a tag match loss last week Pretty good I'd say, a new star is made and HHH has not lost any heat from it either. You see jobs won't always bury a guy (unless they want to bury him) -
hell yea it did. on espn mlb 2k5 I just beat the drays with the yanks 35-1 in my season, but it glitched and I DIDNT GET TO SAVE. I HAD A 18 RUN INNING TOO DAMNNNNN
-
good idea for 3 guys in the six way cuz you would also got elimination points if one or more of your guys elimintaes someone during the match. Edge I thik will rematch with Kane and win tonight for some reason.

I loved the wrestling one, but they havent shown it in years. man I wanted to tape that too!!! (remember when it first came on in august 99, it was WWF week on mtv, every day one or more stars appeared on a different show, my fav perhaps being droz and the godfather on say what karaoke) recently they had one on people who were poor and it was pretty good. funny part when this girl got fired cuz she was hanging out at her job place (a restaurant/bar) on her night off and got caught with weed, her excuse was hey im not 21 so I cant drink. was it a tru life one where the dad was obbsessed with star wars and took his son to a convention?

new team is Tista Benoit Guerrero Jericho JBL Cena even between raw and sd, but thatll probably change with the draft. this better work, Batista better have a match tonite.
-
would be ironic if I got rid of jericho this week huh? but I have a feeling we may see another angle-hbk match tonight or at least a tag match with them involved. damn Im not sure who to pick
-
Wow Im up to a grand total of 531 points after the ppv. Batista ha dthe monster week, ranked number one, right now Im trying to come up with a team for this week, I sold HHH and Maria, and Jericho for now, added benoit and JBL (considering the 6 way on sd this week and I have a feeling these two may be the final two) should I sell angle or michaels, or how about cena? right now cena hbk Batista angle benoit JBL any raw matches announced yet?

I as a fan haveno beef with Lesnar. He decided he didn't want to handle it anymore and wanted to give football a try, thats his right (sure he should have thought about that before he signed a huge contract but...) At least he did the right thing and showed up at Wm 20 and did the job.

"Call an Ambulance!" "I own you" "HAAAAAAAAA Can't Take the Heat?" "I'm Gone!" "Black Turds!" I never got that last one. I think it's supossed to be "My Turf" or something. And a note about NBA action '95(could be '96), you could dribble down the floor, pump fake your guy at the 3-Point line, and then just keep dribbling. You can pump fake as many times as you want without a traveling call. It was great/horrible. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think it was trying to say, "this is my turf"

think thats bad, I just found out they are making a "cheaper by the dozen" sequel.

Lets see if I can get this right Debuts on 2-14-99 as Vince Mcmahons hired goon, and accidentally helps austin win the steel cage match. I am not counting the phony face turn before mania with rock getting in his face. At wrestlemania 15, gets dqd vs mankind angering vince, who slaps the big man. Show snaps and punches out vince and is thus kicked out from the corporation, turning face for the first time in wwf turn #1 (only a month an a half after he debuted mind you) stays face until july 99 when he joined up with taker for no real reason.(turn #2) Heel from July-about novemberish, when bossman starts taunting him about his dying father. after his father "died" he officially was a face again due to the sympathy factor(turn #3. Won first WWF title at Survivor Series as the replacemnet for Austin. Lost it to HHH on the first raw of 2000. Was one of the superstars who came out with rock and threatened a mutiney if HHH and Steph didn't rehire mick foley. Show got mad when Rock claimed he was going to throw 29 jabronis over the top at the rumble. (turn #4) They were the final two left at rumble Shane mcmahon returned at NWO 00 and helped Show beat Rock in a #1 contenders match (show claimed rocks feet hit first at rumble and HHH agreed) Show was the first eliminated in the wm main event Night after mania, show told shane "it was time for the big show to go hollywood" and he started acting goofy, dancing with too cool, dressing up as showkishi, fat bastard, and best of all "the showster" where he beat Angle at Backlash. He was a face again, especially after shane made fun of him (turn #5) He was injured by shane at judgment day after massive interference helped shane beat show in a no dq FCA match. Returned in July to chase shane around, but attacked Kane later and revealed he was back with shane, thus another heel turn (turn #6 if you are counting along). Not too long after he was sent down to OVW for being out of shape. Returned in the rumble match of 01 as a surprise and got eliminated by rock, thus setting off a feud and he was still a heel) Stayed heel until the invasion made him a face by default (turn #7). Stayed face untill he turned on Austin and joined the nWo in early 02 (turn #8) Stayed heel and wound up traded to smackdown in october 02, made early impact by chokeslamming taker off the atge and putting taker out for a few months. Challenged Brock for the WWE title and won. Lost to angle. Still a heel. Stayed heel for all of 2003. In 2004 lost US title to Cena at WM 20, then lost to Eddie Guerreo on SD in a wwe title match, with the stip that he would retire if he lost. Went nuts and destoryed torrie wilsons car and chokeslammed angle of a ledge. Returned in the fall and wanted to wrestle angle at no mercy and started to team with Eddie ,and was attacked by angle reigns and jindrak who shaved off his hair, making him a face offically once again (turn #9) so there you have it, show has had at least 9 turns that I can recall since he joined wwf/e in 1999

Sounds alot like Raven and his Flock, but to a bigger extent (also sounds like takers ministry)

Hogan had got the beatdown from Bossman on the Brother Love Show. Tugboat prior to that had been introduced (ala Hillybilly Jim) as this big guy who Hogan approved of and was going to try and give thr ub to. So after the beatdown Tugboat was played as trying to inspire a down in the dumps Hogan to return by handing out "friendship" bracelets to the fans. They would shoot the crowd wearing them and Hogan was supposedly going to see the support and make his return reinvigorated. Fasinating eh? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Actually you mean Earthquake did the beat down(he gave the BUTT splash of doom to injure hogan, actually to give him time off to do surburban commando), Tugboat was supposed to be in Hogans corner at summerslam vs quake, but quake injured tugboat and Bossman wound up in Hogans corner. BAsically the WWF wanted to push Tugboat so they paired him with Hogan to give him the rub. Of course the fans crapped on him, which is why he wound up turning heel and renaming himself Typhoon and Tagging with quake.

Actually I dont like Burger kings burgers that much and so when I eat there (very rarely) I go with the BK Big Fish.

Right now I wear some payless vans ripoffsthat only set me back 20 bones. In fact its my second pair of them in the past 2 years. The reason is I had a hard time finding shoes that fit cuz I have awide foot (my foot size should be a 12, but the widness neccesitates a 13 w, and its hard to find w shoes in brand names unless you go to an expensive store) hey they look fine and last pretty long so I have no problem. I alwys like the cheap store sneakers cuz one they are cheap and so you can get many, and they often last pretty long and fit better so who cares? However in high school I exclusively bought Nikes, trying to be cool (Infact I had a pair of 80 dollar nikes in 11th grade) Unfortunately the shoes I am wearing dont come in other colors so I cant buy abunch, so basically I have one pair of shoes (but thats normal for me, I dont dress up at all, so all I need is some good sneakers) Of course if I ever got rich I would have nicer shoes, but since Im not in high school anymore I can care less what anyone thinks anymore.

I have NFL 95, it was pretty good IMO. Except for the fact that I was able to dominate by using the same pass play every time (in fact the best pass paly for me was the fake punt, meaning my punter threw alot of yardage and tds). The defense was ok and I liked the cheesy sound effects and taunts I still have it but its sorta broke (I must have dropped it hard). I can play exhibition but cant access the season.

Actually I do think the DDT is a great finisher, especially if its done well. It should be death, especially when they are dropped staright on their head liek Raven does it now. right now the only death moves are really takers tombstone and trips pedigree (though I have seen more people kick out of the pedigree than takers tombstone) The RKO is close, but it couldnt beat Taker at Mania (but it was enough for JBL to beat Taker last week go figure)
