Actuall Storm did Face Jericho during the wwe invasion. I know for sure their first tv match in the WWF, was the SD after ECW returned on RAW w/Steph and Shane joining up. Jericho got Storm to tap out to the walls in a short, okayish match. (I have the match on tape so I remember this for sure) and I know they probably had some more matches on houseshows, but you are right, never to this degree on a ppv. Actually I just watched the ECW Byte This and it was really fun. Heyman basically promised a lot of surprises and Dreamer said hey it wont be the real ECW but it will come as close as possible to it. Heyman and Dreamer were basically shooting for the entire show, hell by the end Heyman said the hell with it and declared that the WWE could never put on a show like ecw could, not because of lack of talent but because they weren't motivated to. I recommend checking that out before the ppv. weve got about an hour till the free for all start. I wasnt going to order it, but my neighbor invited me over for it, so I guess I will see it live.

Meltzer talks to a ton of wrestlers, creative team members, and even some people in WWE's upper management. These days, he's very well-sourced. Just off the top of my head, he talks to Jim Ross, Benoit, Foley, Cornette, and Heyman on a regular basis. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ok, thanks that makes sense. But why would Ross and Cornette risk their jobs by letting secrets out like that?
-
wait... would he get in trouble for ordering a gay movie? I figure that was just an added joke to amuse themselves and the boys. that would be funny if one of the wwe rules is "Don't be gay!!!" (like stan yelling at his dog on South Park)

Undertaker (3-disc), HHH (3-disc), Ladder Matches
Jericholic82 replied to Downhome's topic in The WWE Folder
You're right it is inexcusable. Man now I want to see the ONO match. thanks alot lol -
maybe they are planning a steamboat dvd set? who knows, wwe makes weird choices with their dvds most of the time.
-
Yea I have that tape too , they make some lousy choices for "highlights" hell wm 9 is reduced to shots of taker vs gonzalez (I guess as an "FU" to Hogan who was in wcw at the time)

What was the last time Rock was on TV?
Jericholic82 replied to iliketurtles's topic in The WWE Folder
Yea I sensed that too. Hell I was embarrased to be sitting in the crowd for that horrible raw episode. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And guess what? The Raw/Smackdown supershow in Anaheim on the 27th is the night when the 2005 Diva Search contestants will debut in front of a live audience. Will you be there, Jericholic82? I will be, and I'll be booing the fuck out of those bitches. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sadly no, my dad is back in NY right now and wont be back till then so I didnt try and get tix. Besides, he hated drving all the way to anaheim last time so there waas little chance anyway lol But I apprecitae that you will be there to represent the IWC in booing the diva crap. Of course, however it won't matter. back to the topic, I hope Rock has another run in the future, as I think he can be used in a positive way to help the young guys (yea right) and I know that he has the ability to put on another classic big match. He wasn't the greatest worker, but his charisma and his uncanny ability to control the crowd, makes any of his matches special. I never got to see austin live in the prime years of 98-99, but when I finally got to see rock live in LA in 01, I was blown away by the crowds reaction and the energy Rock emits in response to them. -
Triumph the Insult at the Michael Jackson trial.

I missed it, and the replay, nbc here does show conan and leno replays at 2 and 3 so I can catch it next week probably. I did see kimmel with jake byrd at the the courthouse with fans and it was pretty funny. -
I remember getting my first system, an nes in I think 89 for xmas, I ha dplayed before at friends and fmailys house and always wanted one, maiunly for super mario bros. I got the system and it came with the SMB and duck hut cart and light gun. I used to love my nes, especially the ninja turtles 2 : arcade game. I sold it at funcoland in 94 before our move to socal, in the hopes I would get a super nes finally. biggest mistake of my gaming life. I wound up never owning a snes, but got the genesis for xmas 95 (i know great timing)and i got it at first with wwf raw and nfl 95 (which ruled and I was a master at) my fav genesis game was world series baseball 95 (it kicked ass and still does) and espn national hockey night was great as well. I also like cool spot. Still have my genesis )with raw, espn hockey, WS Baseball, cool spot, george foreman boxing, Rocky and Bullwinkle, NBA JAM: Tournament Edition, Sonic and knuckles) and game boy (which I got in 1990 for xmas) (with tetris, TMNT, WWF Superstars 1 and 2, WWF King Of The Ring, Dr. Mario, Pac-man, bart simpsons escape from camp deadly, nfl football, mega man, riddick bowe boxing, bugs bunny's crazy castle) I got n64 for xmas 97 (I chose it over psx because of the wcw vs nwo world tour game, which ruled at the time. My fav games were goldeneye plus revenge, wm 2000 and no mercy of course. still have my 64 and all 8 game s that I owned (wcw vs nwo, nfl qb club 98, wwf attitude, nba courtside with kobe bryant , wcw/nwo revenge, goldeneye, wm 2000, no mercy), plus a gameshark. havent played the 64 in almost 2 years though. and then I got a ps2 for 2002 xmas and I own like 12 games (wwe sd: sym, gran turismo 3 and jet x20 (which came in the bundle pack I got the ps2 in), GTA 3, SD:HCTP, All Star Baseball 2005, GTA: Vice City, ESPN NFL 2k5 ,The Simpsons Hit and Run, GTA: San Andreas, SD vs RAW, and ESPN Major League Baseball 2k5)
-
hmmm, I would say either espn nfl 2k5, all star baseball 2005, espn mlb 2k5, or gta:sa. special mention to smackdown: hctp and simpsons hit and run.

for some reason I doubt I would find good italian food in seattle, but should I ever be in town Ill try that place just to be fair. I didnt even know about the sub club, damnn. I could have had a free sandwhich by now. though in truth subway cant hold a candle with their meats to BOARS HEAD products, of which are very hard to find in socal.

caffeine adds taste? anyhow I dont understand the point of adding lemon or lime to colas, If I wanted lemon and lime, I would have bought a sprite(which is in fact my fav soda ever) Actually I have only tried diet coke with lemon and it was ok. in truth, as part of my diet plan , I gave up soda in late december, and much to my surprise I dont miss it. Dont drink too much diet, aspartame can give you stomach cramps or diarreah if you have too much (at least for me, thats also why I gave up sodas lol)
-
If I wait too long to eat, I will also get a little nauseous(along with a headache and stomach growls), but I have never actually thrown up.

Guess who I saw at the mall today? A cashier at work walked up to me a few weeks ago and said "Guess what I got today" which turned out to be her beginner's licence. My guess of "cancer?" was not well taken. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> as the late mitch hedberg said "dude you have to give me time to guess" anyhow my uncle can't seem to realize , even after two years that we have voice mail on our home phone. he talks on the message like its an answering machine and seeing if anyone can hear him , as If I was screening the call.

Matt Hardy confirms there is a Matt/Lita....
Jericholic82 replied to Eclipse's topic in General Wrestling
perhaps wwe can relase it on wwe home video, complete with commetary tracks by edge, lita, and matt hardy. matt will wine, lita will be all screw you, and edge will be making fun of matt. joking aside, I couldn't possibly care less about this love triangle soap opera crap anymore. move on matt, please. go to home depot with jeff and buy some paint or somethin -
people forget the good stuff of 2000 wcw. despite the bad parts I found wcw to be quite enjoyable that year. and by the end, I thinkthey did have the corner turned, with great cruiser work, scott steiner as a credible heel champ, and the emergence of new, young stars. too bad TNT and TBS crapped on them (though bischoff owning wcw might have been a problem)

I think I'm the only one who has come to like this finish over time. After it happened, I was pissed, but now that I've watched that match like 20 times, I realize that was how fans were supposed to feel. It's an example of masterful story telling and character portrayal by both men. Angle as the angry face on a mission, and Austin as the psychotic, desperate heel are both played to perfection. After Angle kicked out of the 3rd stunner, Austin was trying his best to get intentionally disqualified by using blatant low blows, going for weapons, and hitting refs. Even in spite of all of that, Angle was still about to win before getting screwed by crooked ref Nick Patrick. This gave both guys a ton of heat, and perfectly set up Angle winning the title in his hometown a month later. Though the Invasion is infamous in terms of botched story lines, the Austin/Angle subset feud was one of the better angles in the new millenium. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> agreed the finish now seems to make sense, and it kept the crowd rabid for rock vs booker where they got a face win to let off steam. the unforgiven angle/austin match is motly forgotten, but it was another great match with a good finish and an emotional celebration. i know everyone loves it, but the eddy-rey havoc match does nothing for me. sorry I just dont like it. however also on the eddy dvd, is a much better match IMO with Los Gringos vs el hijo del santo and octagon. hardly mentioned but this was a great match with tremendous heat from the pro-mexcian la crowd and great heel work by eddy and art barr.

Paul Heyman 15/11/01 Smackdown <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Glad to see you didnt edit foleys mistake of calling test the us champ and edge the ic champ, when infact they were the opposites. Foley screwed that up but the promo ruled. I have both that raw and sd taped so I have both of those great promos. makes me want to go pull out the tape. Foley getting on vinces airplane and quitting was a decent promo too.
