Outlandish Things you'll probably never see
Jericholic82 replied to Vern Gagne's topic in General Wrestling
Yeah Angle was going to throw Austin off the bridge. When he said he would do it, Austin I think was blindfolded and he acted as if he threw him and Austin got scared. Angle ripped the blindfold off and Austin was in a tiny bath Ya he pushed him into a kiddie pool. I never understood, how Austin could think he got threw off a bridge, when he simply sat down in a pool of water. I wonder if they use the same bridge everytime? I'd like to see another bridge angle in the near future, just as a running gag. well that was in treturn for austin thorwing the gold medals off a bridge the week before. man they sure do use bridges alot with austin -

Poor Paul London, he had to sell his fur coat when MNM came around. As for the match, that was probably the worst of the akio/london series. -
Circuit City in their weekly newspaper ad, lists wm 21 as going on sale tuesday for 17.99!!!!!! Sweet!!!!!

An Al Bundy gimmick? AWESOME IDEA Since John Cenas has been doing "Grandmaster B" for awhile and all I so would love if christian called Cena Grandmaster B one time.
-
as Mike Myers put it best in Austin Powers "Who throws a shoe? Honestly"
-
Nice mullet there John

I agree. I saw the game on espn classic last year and that hit me, though I had read about it before. Reggie doesnt get any credit for that does he? Buckener gets too much hate, I mean it was a wild pitch that tied the game actually. Is that his fault too?

I do know that at wm x-8 they used the La Resistance/rene dupree music in the promo video for Flair vs Taker.

yea and alot forget that scott was TV champ when he left wcw in 92 and had basically turned heel. Most don't remember the Acolytes debut. They think they debuted in the minstry, but actually it was in around october of 98, when they debuted as the new team of the Jackyl (Ecws cyrus, aka Don Callis in TNA). In fact I always thought he first called them "The Jackyltes" but I might be wrong there. He left wwf right after that and the team didnt do much until they returned by attacking dennis knight and delivering him to taker to be reborn as Mideon.

not sure about that one but I loved when Kurt Angle accused Essa of running down austin. It was sd and the whole roster was in the ring basically. Kurt was accused and he was like hey what about essa? his reaction face was priceless/

God, I remember that I had a tape that came with the membership to the WWF Fan Club. It had that, I think "The Dragon" Ricky Steamboat, God Save The Queen, Nasty Boyz and Million Dollar Man. Here's my list: Real American (Still the child in me marks out everytime I hear it) Austin (Current and sue me I like the Disturbed) Bret Hart HBK (Sherri and Full Metal Version) Ultimate Warrior Million Dollar Man Wrestlemania VI-IX Royal Rumble 91 Sting Chris Benoit (current) Rock (Vol 3-Hollywood) Undertaker (Not Biker Taker, though the Rollin' Brothers of Destruction mix is cool) Legion of Doom '91-'92 Eddy Guerrero WCW Cactus Jack Diamond Studd/Barbarian '92 Orient Express Yokozuna Big Boss Man (Hard Time) Mr. Perfect Dusty Rhodes (American Dream) Jake Roberts HHH (My Time, Motorhead) Ric Flair No Chance Chris Jericho (WCW and Break the Walls Down) Goldberg (Original) Billy Gunn (Assman) nWo (White and Red) Vinny Mac Corporate Ministry Hardys D-X (Yes, even the Run DMC version) Armageddon Theme (Rip of the Doors The End) Savage Batista Orton (It's catchy, I admit) Evolution Cena (Current) Mankind/Mick Foley I have that tape too!!!!!! from the 92 wwf fan club, still have my membership card as well, but lost my wwf logo watch liek in 93.

Most drastic gimmick changes for Wrestlers

sure, as bradshaws success in the stock market had been acknowledged many times, and he even had a book. -
Orton/RVD from RAw Jan 04. RVD is on the top rope, Orton gets this crazy look on his face and just proceeds to ddt the hell out of rvd. looked brutal. malenko on scotty was the most brutal. wm 14, sweet chin music, austin ducks, goes for the stunner, shawn blocks, goes for the kick, austin ducks, kick wham stunner. orton reversing the pedigree to the rko at survivor series 04 was a decent finish. perhaps the funniest was summerslam 01, booker t hits the scissors kick, goes for spinaroonie, gets up dancing, turns around right into the rock bottom for the three.

I know. But someone else made a comment earlier about how it would help protect against teeth. No dice. obviously unless of course the sock was made of lead.

OH COME ON, its live wrestling, its hard to get tired of that. lol -
I watched, Kimmel annoucned him to come out and mentioned you can see him as a guest wrestling ref on TNA Hard Justice on ppv. another guest on the show, actress Bonnie Hunt got confused when she heard TNA (obviously her mind was in the gutter, but can you blame her?). Tito came out and they discussed UFC and MMA in general. Kimmel gave Tito a HUGE burrito (a joke on the kid who brought the 2 foot long burrito to school as a project and the swat team came in, thinking it was a weapon when it was wrapped up, the kid was on the show that night live from his house) They brought up the TNA appearance and Tito explained that he had bee a big pro wrestling fan since he was a kid and is looking forward to this PPV. At the end Kimmel messed up by saying you can see him May 15 on Fox Sports Net (instead of saying on PPV )
