For some reason I doubt well get the full matches. probably the same highlights we saw on the experience. anyhow this looks like a cool set. Order it now for 20.92 before deepdiscountdvd.com decides to raise the price.

sad to see jesus released. If only cuz it was cool to see a guy I knew from local indies make it to the big time. but then again they have no use for him anyway.

Some interesting Survivor Series 1997 stuff
Jericholic82 replied to JoeDirt's topic in General Wrestling
Shawn had Vince by the balls. You couldn't fire Shawn because you needed him in that spot. Remember in 1997, he screwed up the booking for Mania and the buyrates were shit. With all that money invested in this Mania (specifically Tyson) you had to have the event go on as planned/built up. Well I meant that I would tell him he must job or hes fired. obviously the match ha dbeen hyped -

I would have fired him on the spot for refusing to job to austin. -
Awesome. Never saw that one. I have a few episodes on tape from '02 when Sci Fi started showing them. One that I remember is a guy who cheats at card games until one day a cowboy like charachter comes into the saloon or whatever it is and beats him. At the end, they pan away from the charachters and over to the wall with a photo of the guy who was apparently the hanging judge in that town back in 1902. I believe it was true, as well. Another one about card was this: A new guy comes into a bar and starts playing poker with some regulars. He wins but the guys think he must have cheated, so they shoot and kill him. Later on (maybe years later?) a young man comes into the bar and the same regualrs are there playign cards. They invite him to join since he says hes never played before and figure they can rip him off. But he starts winning and keeps on doing so till he takes all their money. at the end they somehow find out that the young guy is the son of the man they had shot earlier. I belive it turned out to be true but I forget. But you previous post there made me think of this one.

I think it was originally "Six" but I'm not certain. PWI spelled it like that though I do know. -

Your posts are for the most part stupid and annoying. Evil McMahon or not, with the Rock and Austin leading the WWF, they weren't going to fail. ok so I broke my promise, but I never said the wwf would fail, I was asking everyone else here what they thought. Even if I did say it it would have been IMO, so you have to take it with a grain of salt. Just because I am not a hardcore Shawn Hater apparently makes you all upset. -
ok thanks for clarifying.

thats what bothered me about the shawn vs hhh feud that would never end. and the fact that even eugene was pushed over benoit leading to the vengeance ppv. as soon as shwn asked the crowd for a reamtch I thought, oh he wants his win back. But thats fine cuz Kurt is already established as a maine venter. Edge however needed a rub to get over big as a heel. Like I said before Vince should stop letting "the inmates run the asylum" and to hell with this topic I'm not posting here again. -
? LMAO anyhow yea its a loss, but what can you do. Hopefully moose can get them back on tarck tommorrow and the sox have onyl won 2 games so far, but you never know. Call me when its august and we can make better predictions than the 2nd week of the season. and is Pavano ok or what?

Yea but at least he didnt refuse to job to Benoit. And he actaully jobbed to Kurt at mania last week. Hes grown somewhat you have to think. As for wm 20 I think it was more of WWEs worries of Benoit not being over enough to main event wm is why they added shawn, but its good that they did cuz the match turned out to be great (not to say that a one on one between chris and trips wouldnt have been good) Funny thign on byte this last week a fan called in and asked shawn if he was going to go after the world or wwe titles. Shawn said no and that he was done with that and would like to go on a"rockers reunion tour" with marty and basically I guess work the highmidcard at best. Of course byte this is mostly kayfabed so who knows. -
DDP is using a teen spirit rip off again. But not the same one from wcw, but its really similar

that trailer was pretty sweet. makes me miss XPW alot. Cool that you showed a clip of the Abdullah vs Axl match cuz that was form the show I was at. I got that one taped cuz I and my dad are visible throughout in the 2nd row lol. He couldnt believe that Aby was using a fork, and then later a staple gun. And ETV ruled. especially when they did commentary. Kaos and GQ (as TenINCH and ShaBLOWme) were LOL funny. I remember them dubbign a move by kaos' opponent a "thunder eggroll driver" Ah good times -
theyre just doing that as a throwback to their famous first 3 way match back in when was it 94? The dvd covered that a bit. oh wait was it those three in the match? im drawing a blank now.

Ok dude. Just wondered exaclty what you meant. I assume you must be a hardcore Bush supporter? Or do you just not like politcal messages in song? anyway great recap of the show.

Interesting stuff. I watched XPW tv from the time it came on in 2000-mid 2002 when it dissapeared from my local network in socal. I only went to one show "Aftermath" in Ventura, CA on May 28, 2000. But it made me a fan and I enjoyed watching their show. Can't wait for the next installment. Keep up the good work. -
I'm going to buy Jasmin's 3PW promotion

this reminds me of the time my friends and I wanted to chip in and buy WCW. considering the price it got sold for, if we had all saved some cash and/or got a loan we could have done it. cmon this whole board should chip in and buy it. Well rename it the smartmarks wrestling association or soemthing like that. -
damn since when did the orioles become the best offense in baseball?
-
yea I always thought that too, but it seems like they have chnaged it a bit after the heel turn.

I dont know why, maybe I was real tired but the Barry Gibb had me ROTFL. Esepcially when Jimmys voice went up three octaves while talking/singing. The guest appearances caught me off guard there. All in all the show was ok, but not great. Green Day sounded very good, as always. I know alot dont like them, but for some reason I find pretty much all of their songs to be catchy and listen worty. And what exaclty is their poltical message that you disagree with? I m sorry I dont have th cd and havent listened close enough to get the full idea. So they hate the President? what celebrity doesnt? It's nothing new. Freedom of Speech guys remember it, because we are slowly losing it. and just so you know I dislike the government too sometimes. But there's nothing I can do about it but rant.
-
Hed probably have been the first undisputed champ. oh and he wouldnt suck so much in the ring like he did in 2002.
-
does it matter what she looks like really? at least she isnt on tv every week anymore. Plus she can care less, shes got a lot of money and will inherit a huge corporation when Vince dies or steps down. shes got it made. Besides, she can afford lots of plastic surgey if she wanted it.

IMO yes, as Austin was redhot regardless, and WCW was becoming a mess of nonsensical booking and politics.... But even Vince admits that he didn't see the Mr. McMahon character coming, so using that as justification for Montreal doesn't fly Im not using it as justification ,its just funny and/or weird how it worked out.
