the barber challenge is the most frustrating one of that game (well besides performing a running dive attack over the ropes-with your cpu opponent always bouncing up and out of the way) I tried it like 50 or more times before I beat it by luck, hell I dont even rememebr how I did I just did. Try to do some head damage and put on a sleeper or two that puts him down for a bit, or steal his piledriver. or maybe just changes brutus moveset to include more brutal moves (i did by giving him a flatliner/downward sprial/ hassans WMD(ok not offically named but I like that name for it)

Get the 2K5 game so I'm not alone in the other thread. Damn all of you for having $10 more than me!!!! well Im unemployed so I probably cant even afford 20 bucks so dont feel too bad lol

yea but its too bad they edited it to hell: themes, the reaction to brock-berg, ultimo dragons slip and slide 04, etc I bought the dvd cuz it was on sale and figured I should have a dvd copy (as well as wanting a dvd version of that mania of wm special) but my live recorded vhs version aint too shabby. probably should trasfer that to dvd. someday.

in a word, not very close. and I wish the WCW bashing would stop, cuz not only was a not a joke back in 96, it was the hottest wrestling show on tv (and better than Raw and ECW tv) . in 99, while a lot of political crap went on, there were still far more entertaining matches than what wwf was putting on RAW and later SD however, the reason WWE is not losing money like WCW is because they are better about their economics. they dont go around throwing out guaranteed contracts to every former big name star out there. they dont keep guys under contract for years and forget about them. they streamline the rosters at they see fit. they still draw near top ratings on cable and respectable numbers for SD on network tv. ppv buys are down, but dvd sales are helping to add extra revenue and their overseas tours are drawing lots of money. none of us can predict another "boom" happening. besides histroy does not always repeat itself. TNA will probably enever be able to fullly compete with WWE so things will stay the same for awhile untill maybe a bunch of new fans jump on the bandwagon like in 1998/1999

My want list and what I want to trade
Jericholic82 replied to LucharesuFan619's topic in General Wrestling
I recently bought a used copy of Hulkamania 4 (this was from 1989 and has matches vs Bad News Brown, a lumberjack match vs Ted Dibiase, vs Big Bossman in a cage at MSG (not the famous SNME one) vs Honky Tonk Man,vs Haku, vs Andre from wm 3, vs Savage(post wm 5, with zeus in savages corner) plus a behind the scens look at no holds barred Man this tape only cost 2.50 and it seems to be in great condition with great video quality despite the worn looking box. too bad it wasnt hulkamania 3 though once I buy a dvd recorder Ill transfer all my tapes, maybe then ill be willing to sell or trade the masters -
I only have the July 6 1998 RAW on tape (featured the dx nation parody and undertaker dressed as kane beating mankind to become the #1contender) I have the same days Nitro (goldberg wins the world title) but sadly I messed up setting the timer and this only got the first two hours (nitro had just recently swtiched to a 3 hour show) I have most of thunder that same week. dont know if this helps.

Top Five biggest disgraces in sports history
Jericholic82 replied to Steve J. Rogers's topic in Sports
oh that reminds me of young Danny Almonte of the bronx LL team back in 2001 -
wonder why wmxx is the best selling ever? just because its wm 20? its not like it was the best wm ever

Yea that was a great game albeit meaningless. Manning finally shut up the critics and put together a game winnig drive of epic proportions and the fact that they went for the win and let tiki take it in to break the record. actually I enjoyed the Giants/packers game from early in the season as well Go Giants 2005!

So Mike Piazza has to get rid of his beard? They were married just a short time ago. LMAO that was a good one please dont try to Yankeeize the Mets we Yanks fans work so hard to ignore them lol anyhow I wont play fantasy booking here, but I hope the Yanks have a good year. and as long as Boston falls back to Earth Ill be able to at least laugh at them again. remember you got what you wanted you bragged too much about it, get ready for the curse of the Mietnkiewicz (I named it simply due to the whole ball ownership thingy not for much else)

talking about biased officials. you see this a lot in baseball as well some umps make calls that are too dumb to be by mistake. and as for fixing the world sreies, 2004s seemed awfully fixed huh? (Im not saying it was it just seemed kindy fishy to me, hell the ALCS played out like it was fixed huh? like a hollywood writer wrote it) and yes the refs always cheated for the lakers, makes me glad to see them toiling in obscurity right now with Mr Molester himself at the helm and does Kobe qualify as a big disgrace in your minds? just wondering I will agree on the 1919 series and the 94 strike. the 02 olympics? who gives a crap its freakin ice skating not a sport. damn whiny canadians (note to all canadians on this board, I dont mean to insult you) -

Yea that was pretty crazy. I still have the whole thing on tape (I had taped the fight off HBO for my dad who was out working and boy was he surprised to see that lol) although it makes NYC look like crap and probably disgraced MSG more than the kliq incident in pro wrestling (lol Im just kidding guys) It was one of bowes cornerman who started the whole thing and the guy strectchered out was Fred Flintstone himself, Lou Duva -
Last Simpsons episode you truly enjoyed..
Jericholic82 replied to King Cucaracha's topic in Television & Film
You sort of contradict yourself here. I suppose I kinda did oops what I meant was why is the simpsons trying to be all current eventy when they cant put out the show in time. Just because I said that doesnt mean I cant enjoy the episodes anyway, I just wish they would stop trying to be so cutting edge after 15 years on the air. -
I agree, Tatanka was over as a high midcarder. I always thought he should have got the IC title at WmIX. Dont know if he could have been ME material but he deserved better then what he got.
-
does it bother anyone else how they refer to past matches as being for the wwe championship etc? couldnt they just put "for the World Wrestling Federation Title" instead? or are they too lazy? I hate them referring to everything as being WWE when it clearly wasnt then.

actually I should say that it was dusty only because I used to leave my ps2 uncovered, but over a year ago I started to cover it up with a towel when not in use to avoid dust getting on it boy I hope it lasts until the ps3 comes out the new ps2s would make me nervous considering how small and breakable they look. how is it that the older gen systems could work for years and the new ones break quite easily?
-
I have had my ps2 since december 2002 (its a SPCH 3001 model). I have had no such probelems as of yet, but do notice that some games make the system make a lot of noise (epsecially sd vs raw and sdhctp as well as nay sports games with lots of commentary on it) but its been over a year and I have had no problems. I am nervous now reading this, considering I have been using it as a dvd player as well and as of late have spent more time playing dvds on it than games (the last game I bought was GTA:SA) I agree about the porr ventilation thing. I just unplugged my system the other day to clean it out. well I basically just wiped off the top and siodes and there was a ton of dust on the fan and in the fan but I didnt blow on it, knowing that would prbably cause more probms. am I heading for disaster soon If I dont open it up to clean?
-
Youre better off Manny sucks!!! Jeter Rulz lol Im just playin with you (though I do love my Yanks) Anyhow, any info on the game from those who played it? Is is better than Allstar baseball 05 (the baseball game I bought last year) ? how are the controls I should mention I have a ps2 only
-
and no I have not seen any of the lord of the rings movie and do not plan on it anytime soon. the last BP film I actually watched was american beauty and I actually enjoyed that
-
yknow I have seen parts of this on tv before but never in full. this topic makes me want to see it though. and screw the oscar noms, always full of crap that I havent seen and dont want to see ever (like titanic which I have never seen save for the end and refuse to watch in full- like steve harvey said in the kings of comedy-bring on the water and drown these fools) and I enjoyed death to smmochy as well (it just premiered on comedy central the other day, though obviously its bettter to watch unedited) eddie has been in a lot of underrated films IMO I really like The Golden Child, but no one ever talks abou it
-
yes it was that is probably my fav simpsons episode (along with the city of ny vs homer simpson) but the gay marriage one wasnt too bad. It still had a few lol moments which makes it worthy for me. homer kissing himself was freaking hilarious (reminds me of the ep where marge gets her kitchen redone and enters the baking contest and homer has a daydream of himself living next to himself) and "the passion of the jew" was much better than this years superbowl simpsons episode

Jericholic82 replied to King Cucaracha's topic in Television & Film
Actually I quite enjoyed last weeks gay marriage episode. homer becoming a minster in 10 secs and the printer printing out a paper collar for him lmao yknow since it takes froever to animate this show, thus it takes them longer to t ackle current events. t anyhow I still enjoy new eps of the simpsons and find myself lol so thats all that matters to me. and since when did the simpsons become a tackling current events show? kind of weak i think -
HMMMMM sound fishy anyone? now we're likely to have the whole IWC talking about how HHH is burying Hogan by replacing his dvd on purpose
-
I agree, what is wrong with a guy accepting a better offer elsewhere? Bischoff did nothing illegal. maybe if heyman would have paid his guys ontime, a lot of them wouldnt have left. however the dvd is pretty funny. I especially loved them showing the promo on tnn where paul rips the network a new one I thought it was missing one thing: Joel gertner Joel:TNN's new catchphrase is 'We've got pop' its better than their old one Joey:What was that? Joel: TNN: We F*ck pigs
