I wasnt into wrestling at the time (didnt become a fan untill the 90 survivor series) but when I did I liked warrior more than hogan. he was my fav until 92, when Bret became my #1 favorite until HBK surpassed him in late 95 its crazy to think that was 15 years ago already so I guess Im celebrating my 15th year as a pro wrestling fan
-
yea but wm 3 was far more exciting than watching the pope do whatever speaking of which what did the pope do? talk for an hour? At the risk of sounding sacreligious, I would rather have seen wm 3 live than the pope I guess we will never know the tru number, but man that crowd was jammedpacked wm 17 in the astrodome was quite impressive looking too

last night on smackdown when JBL was talking to godzilla He eats.....pizza

I've been watching some WWF 1996 stuff...
Jericholic82 replied to JoeDirt's topic in General Wrestling
I agree on all counts. I enjoyed WWF in 96 despite the hot nWo angle on nitro. I liked how when Nash was doing commentary during Shawns match with Jerry Lawler on the earl april 96 raw (i have it on tape) NAsh wore a hbk shirt and mr perfect asked him why he replied "I'm part of the Kliq isnt everybody?" also as they showed the clip of him turning on shawn at msg "He turned to me and says Ive got a few vertebrea out, you mind putting them back in for me? he turns around I whack him and all of a sudden I'm the bad guy?" -
Why our goddess hasn't been around lately...
Jericholic82 replied to MARTYEWR's topic in The WWE Folder
hasnt been around lately? what do you mean, she was raw last week but not this week anyways, thats the danger of the ring, you can and will get hurt and have all sorts of things happen geez dont freak out. at least she can actually wrestle unlike the other useless divas they hired. lol at the herpes comment -
my target didnt have it, I went to suncoast yesterday and they had it for 24.95 (5 bucks cheaper than usual) so I got it just cuz I didnt feel like going to all the stores and looking for it. and besides thats about the same price that my best buy has been charging lately for 2 disc sets (including ecw) they had the andre one too but I skipped it, figuring walmart will eventually have it in the discount bin probably Only watched the pat rose match so far and the before they were superstars thing too (heck most of those extras aired on confidential already) oh and the eggs can be found in the extras section i think it was. I found them by randomly going thru all the choices and hitting right and left a couple of times. that heatwave promo was 98 btw its funny wonder why they didnt show that match on the dvd iteself (rvd/sabu vs hayabusa shinzeki(hakushi)

oh and I agree about dvds needed for owen and hennig and of course bret Pillman for me yea but I dont know if they will take the chance

about the editing wwf thingy. on the foley dvd, during the cactus vs hhh rumble 2000 match, the eiditng guys apparantly forgot to censor wwf a couple of times. Jr gets away with "hes dragging the wwf champion away" but other points during the match the mention is edited like the begin (this streetfight for the (wwf championship) is underway and when cactus attacks after the match this war (for the wwf title) is not over. Its only slightly annoying (my fav is on an easter egg on disc 2 of mankinds cef boyardee commercial, the annoucer says something about the bggest beast known to man, Mankind (of the wwf) but he gets cut off at mankind and it sounds funny cuz he voice was going up in tone and got got cut off I wonder, do they really have to blur the logo too, I mean I can see the wwf talk, but why the scratch logo only? This leads more credence to my belief that the only reason the other WWF sued again was that the World Wrestling Federation became huge back in 98/99, thus they are mad at the scratch logo (and besides the old block wwf logo looks more like an f than the scratch one) But I guess the reason is that they sued at the time they were using that logo. Its worse that they even blur the shirts of fans in the audience Screw The Pandas Get the F back in (someone please make this sign and take it to a WWE show)

"Basic Instinct" WM 21 Commercial
Jericholic82 replied to UseTheSledgehammerUh's topic in The WWE Folder
actually I think the ring would be a good parody, just cuz the punclhine at the end would be the ring (the wrestling ring that is) maybe a ghostbusters parody featuring funaki, nuzio, john cena, and stevie richards (that was just random names there sorry) JR in a John Wayne parody maybe -

Crazy stuff. Benoit trying to act is hilarious. Christian was awesome. Chris Jerichos funy hairdo was classic. Great delivery by Stacy too. At first I thought the whole hollywood theme for mania was dumb, but im starting to like these parodies -
Well no surprise the pats won whoopee Anyhow it has occured to me that Boston is now more annoying than ever. Even as a Yankee fan, I often kinda felt bad for the city that never won the big one. even after the pats won 2 sbs they werent happy untill the sox won. ok now youve got what you want, dont be a baggart about it. my point is that you should enjoy your team winning, not just be bragging about it, like it somehow makes you cool or somethin. Its the players glory really not yours. and the funniest part was on my local fox news, they showed a bar in santa monica, ca that had all pats fans there and they were mostly wearing red sox gear and chanting yankees suck (huh?) I thought they were over that now. I wonder if they even truly are football fans. . enjoy, dont be obnoxious, cuz thats what you kept accusing us ny fans about. Show some class for once yikes. I think the patrioits deserved to win and obviously were the best team in the NFL again. But it makes it hard to like them when their fans act that way. Hypocritical aint it? well at least the sb is over. baseball is only two months away Anxsiously awaiting the season opener, despite the fact that it is going to be on the same time as wrestlemania 21

I didnt see all of the commercials, cuz hey sometimes you gotta pee. and besides, I was channel flipping a bit also during the game when it got boring (likemost of the first half) I didnt watch the whole sb game for the first time since 99 (falcons vs broncos) anyhow I enjoyed the commercial with the celebrities shrinking themselves (mini kid rock and mini shaq were pretty funny) that had to do with some cell phone company that will allow streaming video

Favorite TV shows that lasted a season or less
Jericholic82 replied to Youth N Asia's topic in Television & Film
I second undeclared and greg the bunny. I miss titus too but at least it got 3 years and as said before didnt get canned in the middle of the season like Boston Public and Grounded for Life (two of my fav shows) -but at least they gave grounded a series finale that was ok. Boston dissaperead in the middle of the storylines. The Critic is also one of my all time favs. Only lasted breifly on abc and then a little bit more on fox. I keep meaning to get the dvd set. oh and I also enjoyed "the Help" i thought it had some potential. Too bad it lasted 6 episodes. I enjoyed its similarity to Unhappily as well. Bud Bundy as a drunk guy who lived in the pool house and never talked except for grunting made the show for me. as well as the bickering maids. -
and I would like a chocolate locker as well
-
that was pretty funny as well "Im going to skip 3rd steve, but I have to go to 5th steve" or somethin like that pretty funny. overall the show had its moments but Id like to see a couple of episodes before I make a judgment. However the dad being ultra-scared about terrorism is pretty funny in an ironic way "Its just gum dad"

whats with all the ribbing anyway? I mean geez you guys do you have to give a hard time to every newcomer? act like more than a 13 year old for gods sake. The wrestlers are so overprotective of their spot that they have to ruin the lives of everyone who is hired by WWE. Thats why Im glad Im not a wrestler. This is going to blow up in their face one day when someone files a very real lawsuit and wins. I understand alittle harmless joke but when you have Bradshaw tying up people in the shower and pretending to rape them, you might want to reconsider your company policy on lockeroom conduct

Full view of Triple H and Orton Blading at NYR
Jericholic82 replied to Shooting Star's topic in The WWE Folder
Nope. And as to why the cameras sometimes provide a nice juicy close-up of a guy blading, it's not really the cameraman's fault. Blading may look obvious on a 30-inch TV, but it's almost impossible to spot on a tiny eyepiece monitor. It's really the fault of the guy on the switcher, who should've cut away sooner. Yea youd think the people in the truck were paying better attention offtopic and speaking of which, couldnt Eric Bischoff just ask the guys in the truck who played the JBL video? -
first rvd went to shake sabus hand then faked him out and kept walking away after he said the no respect line he said I do respect him (bill alfonso outside the ring-ironic, no? considering bill became his manager after barely legal)
-
especialyl considering that show is married and mentions it alot on talk shows. Actualyl Joy may be amrried I remember Carmella dissing her during the diva search and mentioned she has kids and what kind of role model is she
-
she is indeed quite short in person. I have seen her at two wwe event in the past few years. In the ring she looks small. live even smaller Rey mysterio may be taller then her. I saw her outside before the event. Made me feel like the freakin big show standing close to her.

When did WCW hit The Point Of No Return ?
Jericholic82 replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in General Wrestling
Actually Goldberg winning the title so soon and on free tv hurt them alot If they had waited and not worried about winning the ratings one week, they could have held it off till Starrcade and it would have meant a lot more.
