i think RVDs style hindered him in the wwf at first. Most were reluctant to work with him because of his stiffness, especially his kicks. you even had kurt angles wife going online and complaining about him making angles nose bleed with his kicks plus no one besides Austin was willing to put him over. They had their last chance at unforgiven 2002 and when that didnt happen, RVD was thru and why do you want a main feature so much. The only real good ones was benoit and eddie s (and ecw of course) others like hogans sucked. do you really want 45 mins of fluff, revisionist history, and hhh praising (like Hogans where he had a whole chapter kisiing hhhs ass) or do you want matches? duh matches like flairs

All those commercials hyping it during sd and in the first ep they went to a wwe show (they calle dit wrestlemania, clearly it was raw it had a dudleys vs la rez match) then its gets canned im still angry that wb canceled grounded for life in the middle of the season yet other crap like whatever else is on fridays there stays on

the 1984 one is always mentioned near the top of the list of every show that does a look at classic commercials wwf attitude was great for its time or the lesser remembered ones from the next year 2000 (one of them was banned, it had an old folks home and all of a sudden they watched wwf and started acting like the wrestlers, old guy thinking he was val venis saying hello laidies and one guy dressed liek the godfather and he neede to use an oxygen tank) they had one with a little baby and also one with a beauty pageant

In foleys first book, he mentions how dave sullivan was well liked by the boys in the back but he was a horrible wrestler he even said that he was such a nice guy that everyone would say how nice he was before mentioning that he sucked in the ring

Well earlier in show shane showed up to confront vince as to who he had picked as gm and he said somethin like "i cant believe its him after what he tried to do to you (put you out of business-ironic cuz shane was like 10 months removed from the alliance trying to put vince out of business) then I kinda had a feeling that it was bischoff. booker finshed a promo and said can u dig it suckaa then his face turned with a disbelief look on his face and eric walks up and says hi, then leaves bischoff goes to coach (i think) "Tell me I didnt just see that" I think it would have been more shocking if he didnt show his face till vince announced it, as soon as I saw bischoff backstage I knew he was the gm. steph as the sd gm was also rather shocking. rikishi as the driver floored me (wow that was out of left field there) stephs turn was no surprise to me, the whole IWC pretty much predicted that before the PPV Vince as the higher power was really shocking, considering you never would think that WWF would be that dumb enough to pull somethin like that (the vince-stone cold feud should have ended with vince face turn and vince shouldve went off tv) Though I was pretty much calling it, vince at wm 2000 getting beat up by shane but returning later to cost rock the match and reunite with his family made no sense.

Austin in 98 IMO was more over than Hogan ever was in any single year. what I mean is he was able to sustain a reaction for whole matches and not just for the finish. Most of hogans matches the middle part was hogan getting beat up and most of the time the crowd was quiet, but popped hwne he made a comeback. (exceptions include wm3 and wm 6 the crowd was on for the whole match( just watching the foley dvd and the dude love vs austin match. the crowd is so into austin. they are literally screaming lets go stone cold for most of the match. Hogan will always be #1 and rightfully so, but austin is a major icon in wrestling and always will be considered a legend and I think that DX appealed mostly to 12 and 13 year olds though they were a major part of the wwfs resurgence. but without stone cold vs mcmahon catchin on in 98 the wrestling scene as we know it might be quite different

Maybe JBL will actually Shudder win the match clean. Myabe give him some kind of credibility going into mania? doubt it someone is goingto be hiding under the ring IMO which would be appropriate since thats how show debuted back in 99 at the feb ppv

Being a Giants fan superbowl 35 was a huge letdown for me as I was getting used to my team winning the big games (as the yanks had just completed their three peat) and I had really gotten into the NFL season that year and the blowout of the vikes in the NFC title game gave me big hopes. add to that I woke up on that sunday sick to my stomach and was throwing up all day the game only added to my misery. I sorta remember the giants winning sb 25 , as in I remember my dad outside in the snowy ny air dancing in the streets I enjoyed the broncos beating the pack as well as the pats beating the rams cuz I hate the rams (especially since people in cali contiuned to root for them like they were still playing here) and I loved the raiders getting trounced by Tampa cuz it pissed off all the people in southern cali (despite as I kept telling them the team had moved back to northern cali by then and thus werent their team anymore) last years game was incredible especially the 4th quarter I was on the edge of my seat fo that one.

yea thats inline with JR telling the audience that HHHS quad is literally hanging by a thread going into his match with jericho at wm x-8(due to a sledgehammer atatck by jericho on raw I think) then it is never mentioned again and the malenko ddt on scotty was actually backlash 2000 but it was pretty freaking insane (no wonder scotty had a bad neck) scott steiner screwdriver on owen takes the cake here. danny davis head literally bounced off the mat at wm 3 in the tombstone spot and DBS also delivered a stiff running powerslam that made the mat bounce up with such force. cactus jack piledriving hhh on the announce table at rumble 2000 which DOESNT BREAK OUCH on the benoit dvd and his match with eddie from nitro, benoit delivers a SICK compact powerbomb that almost folds eddie in half, then follows up with a sweet dragon suplex for the win although these are all good moves none of them was actually the finsherexcept for malenko and benoit so sorry about going off topic here

Hogan 96 was pretty shocking. I always thought it was going to be Sid whoe was the thrid man (since he had dissapeared from wwf tv fro awhile) actually i didnt see the ppv and didnt have net access then so I had to wait for nitro for the result. actually a short whole before nitro began, I thought to myself "what if it was hogan?" for some reason (guess cuz he was mr wwf for years) halls debut earlier wasnt that shocking to me as I had read in one of the apter mags that hall and nash would be leaving for wcw soon. Piper at wm 19 I ahould have seen coming but it still surprised me at the moment since I wasnt even thingking about a run in during the match. Rock in 98 I didnt see coming cuz I figured he was becoming a face (he was basically a tweener leaning face for two months) and sinc ehe was over with the crowd why would they turn him (in retrospect it was a good move cuz it made the audience like him even more as time went on and when he finally left the corporation he was mega over) but there were clues like mcmahon not really enjoying the company of mankind I was kinda shocked by the rockers breakup (they hug and raise their arms, then BAM SHAWN SUPERKICKS MARTY then throws him through the window of the barber shop) I so marked out when marty made his suprise return in late 92 warrior at wm 8 was awesome to me at the time. and takers face turn seemed to come out of left field (actually so did his heel turn in late 01) austin turning heel again at invasion was a little surprising but I guess it shouldnt have been

I enjoyed their match at Judgment Day 2000. It had some good pyscholgoy (except for when Benoit forgot about his injured knee) and cool looking visuals like Jerichos tarantula like walls applied in the ropes and the ending where benoit basically choked out jericho (his face even turned red toward the end of it ) hope this match get some time, but hey I dont want to be a typcial smark and complain about everything here. RAW might just be a cant-miss show for once woohoo 900 posts Turns on Evolution music and poses (shoutout to dames there)

actually that box set looks pretty cool. I already own wm 19 dvd (the only 2003 ppv dvd i do have btw) and if they are selling for a discounted price I say why not? then again this comes from the guy who actually bought the wrestlemania legacy 1-14 vhs box set for 149 bucks

God, that DVD has slipped through my fingers so many times. Got to be the rarest WWE release ever. I know I wish I had bought it too. I actually bought the vhs version back in 2000 since I didnt have a dvd player at the time. shoudl have just bought the dvd. If I only had a time machine (hey I would go back and buy a bunch of these dvds and come back now and sell them for loads more lol)
