the mall episode is great I just watched that yesterday (the one where they go to buy u2 tix but screch loses his place in line, they find a bunch of cash in a bag and zack wants to buy a whole bunch of tix and sell them an inflated prices yada yada yada) -
wow metal that made a lot of sense. good thinking there. of course that all went to hell when taker turned heel in 98 and basically admitted that he had started the fire himself, but good idea on the whole undertaker character

you get mad props from me for referencing Step By Step in any fashion I preferred family matters when carl and urkel had to team against the bushwhackers or bud bundy getting squashed by king kong bundy on MWC

WCW facts, tidbits, and stuff people forgot

thats Russo for you . obssesed with worked shoot angles as scott keith once put it , russos shoot angles(as well as any other shoot angle) were basically telling the audience, "Everything you see is fake, except for this, this is real" and you wonder why people thought owen hart dying was a work? and yea yeti indeed debuted on the nitro before from the aforementioned block of ice, but i couldnt see nitro at the time, cuz I only had basic cable (had to watch st night for my info on wcw ) at the time and in truth didnt see a Nitro until december 95 (back then tnt had one feed, so I living in the west coast could watch nitro at 6 and raw at 9 with no channel flipping!!!! until july 98 when they decided on seperate west and east coast feeds, those jerks!!! i had to channel flip during foley winning the wwf title for crying out loud) -
Wrestlers who never lived up to their potential
Jericholic82 replied to JoeDirt's topic in General Wrestling
ok Ill pick someone else, and its a doozy GOLDBERG once he became us champ he had a huge wave of mometum that carried him to the world title on july 6, 1998. then his title reign was lame, having only 3 title defenses on ppv against Curt Hennig, DDP (in a very good match) and jobbing to Nash at starrcade even his wwe run was bad. He was over, but they didnt seem to know how to book him. they gave him long matches with the likes of jericho and hhh and he got totally exposed. fittingly his last match was the abomination vs lesnar as for Tazz, no I dont think he was misused. once he came to wwf and everyone saw how small he was, there was no way for him to go anywhere. it would look bad for bigger guys to be thrown around by this little man. ecw covered up a lot of weaknesses in their wrestlers. he had no chance. probably should have stayed in ecw. although we did get Taz, sd commentator out of this so its not all bad -
which is the match where Bearer turned on kane stone cold was guest ref and vince told him if he didnt call it down the middle he would be fired. after the bearer turn stonce cold stunned both kane and taker and counted himself the winner at ss in the world title tourney, kane cost taker his match against rock but running in and hitting rock getting taker dqd and at in your house: rock bottom (dec 98) kane appeared after an explosion helping austin win the buried alive match against taker also somethin you forgot, in july 99 taker tried to convine kane to rejoin him and he did tag with him on a raw but kane changed his mind when he saw them abusing xpac, his only friend kane drops to knees "seannnnnnnnn!!!!!"

Things that were supposed to happen but didn't
Jericholic82 replied to MikeJordan23's topic in General Wrestling
well it made more sense for luger to work twice as opposed to the big yoko. of course the yoko-luger match at wm 10 was horrible unlike the ss93 match which was imo very good. the only good thign about the wm 10 match was Luger going outside the ring and slipping and falling right into the barricade and vince tyring to cover it up by saying something about mr fuji and lawler just clowned him saying "hes just a little clumsy" -
I always enjoyed Brandi making fun of Shawn Michaels constantly yea I grew up on the apter mags too. When I went to the WWA revolution ppv in vegas, I actually met Bill Apter at the autograph signing. I dont think anyone else knew who he was but I did and told him how much I used to love reading all those mags. He seemed to be really tight with the wrestlers. I have a pic of him talking with terry taylor I should scan it for you guys

christian was last a real face in 2000 in 99 after e and c split with gangrel they became full on faces so there you go. this lasted all the way up to around wm 2000 the week before the show e and c started being heelish towards the hardys (saying they deserved the title shot more) and continued acting heelish to backlash (where they had to play the faces against road dogg and xpac) after that they became full on heels, teaming up with kurt angle I also was wondering why christian hasnt attacked edge back after the tag match from 2 weeks ago. theres a logic flaw for you. also the fact that they seemingly are not "brothers" anymore as for cheap face turns, the majoritiy of them in history have been due to being attacked by other heels so this is nothing new. ortons turn is just a cheap rip-off of old horseman angles, specifically sting being kicked out in 1990 for winning a title shot at flair (in hhhs kayfabe mind, evolution is just a gruop that was made specifically to keep him on top-so when orton went out and won the world title on his own, that was like spitting in his face and jealousy turned to violence) bottom line is trips wishes he was Flair and he aint

We really shoudnt chide shamrock for the slap me thing. remember "ryan shamrock" was just some stripper they plucked out of the local nudie bar and was no actress. probably couldnt remember what she was supposed to do

Rumble 99 match. austin and vince are the last 2 left. austin hit him with a chair outside and then rolled him back in the ring and is standing over him. Vince says to him "are you going to stun me?" austin says no. then a few secs later vince:are you ready for the low blow? then 5 secs later vince leaps up and lowblows austin

I don't know, but that night that he debuted it was priceless. "Huh huh. Hey Trish. Look at this. It says Big Show." he made the first one but later it was a real shirt that had the big show plus arrow pointing down and Big all over on the back classic dx and austin and nwo are the best Actually i really liked my dx cheap shirt bought from kmart alot (it had a big dx logo with D-generation then a huge x on which they had the names of all the members (this was 98 dx v 2.0) and I had a cheap austin 3:16 that was on a gray shirt with blue letters and the triple skull logo on back pretty cool if not a bit odd

WCW facts, tidbits, and stuff people forgot
Jericholic82 replied to JoeDirt's topic in General Wrestling
I got to see No Way Out 02 replay and Backlash 02live for free as the cable company forgot to scramble the channel twice in a months time (and the channel stayed on for 3 days each time too) The Dungeon of Doom story: Slamboree 95: Kevin Sullivan (who along with Brutus Beefcake as The Butcher and John Tenta as Avalanche had been the 3 face sof fear - amini stable that feuded with hogan, savage, and sting and also dave sullivan) defeats Beefcake (who turned face briefly I guess) but a weird voice comes over the sound system calling for kev. Next week on Sat nite they aired a vignette of sullivan running from the arena into the woods (still in his trunks) into a cave where he met his "father" the master who told him to remember the mission DESTROY HULKAMANIA. sullivan was renamed as the taskmaster and started recruiting a gang to help him. the first member being Kamala, and shark (tenta again) shortly therafter the zodiac (beefcake) and meng and barbarian as the faces of fear but at the bash at the beach 95 preshow on tbs (main event) the giant debuted giving hogan a shirt that was supposadly andres (yes andre the giant) giant officially made dod member in august as hogan is attacked by him in the masters cave. So they feuded with hogan and even faced off with hogan and friends (including the newly signed lex luger who took over Vaders place when he was fired shortly after his face turn) in war games at fall brawl 95. Hogan then feuded with the giant over monster trucks and the wcw title. of course at havoc 95 hogan won the truck match and threw giant off the roof---but he was fine and later in the night beat hogan by dq thanks to jimmy hart turning heel (and giant winning the title as it was revealed hart put the dq=title change clause in the contract as hogans manager--but it was overturned since hart was the one who put it in and purposley tried to steal the title) also we saw the debut of the yeti and lex luger turend on hogan and kinda loosley aligned himself with hart and the dod. Hogan defeated the giant at superbrawl 96 in a cage and fatrewards the lochness made his debut for the dod (he lasted a month before he turned face and was squashed by giant at uncensored 96 never to be seen again) and around this time the dod and horseman started to feud a bit. Big Bubba Rogers (bossman) joined in the middle of the year, as did konnan after his heel turn. zodiac left early in 96 and renamed himself the booty man. aside from the sullivan-benoit feud the dungeon became useless in 96 and a couple of its members joined the nwo later on (like bubba and konnan for ex) the DOD basically all but died in 97 when sullivan lost a retirement match to benoit at bash at the beach 97 long story short, Hogan wanted a heel stable to feud with and he got the lamest one ever. and the whole thing lasted way too long and was finally mercy killed -
the only problem with her is that they continue to basically describe her as a slut. what slutty thing has she done lately? (besides the mnf parody) sure if you go back to 2001 and the vince mcmahon affair, but in 2004 what? she chose christian over jericho? that makes her a slut ? huh? she is pretty entertaining as a mean spirited heel though. her insults and lines are right on the money about lita(whos the real skank if you think about it in kayfabe terms) and yea her house on confidential looked pretty fun and cool. too bad shes from canada LMAO JK

wrestling always has logic flaws, not just WWE. Try not to think about it or your brains will turn to mush and how good did samoa joe get lately, since I last saw him wrestling in my local boys and girls club in southern cali about 3 years ago (he didnt look that special back then he was in a generic samoan tag team with a rikishi looklalike) now everyone here is saying he should be in WWE? Man I need to get some indy tapes or somethin. and the problem with everyone complaining about guys like RVD not being on top is, that fans dont come to a wwe show to see one guy anymore (like hogan in the 80s) they come for the whole show. so there really are no more draws in wrestling these days. I bet you that if RVD had won the world title back in 02, the ratings woulda stayed the same and nothing would be different today.

amazingly enough, it did make me think of Knight cuz thats the only time I have heard that name used in my life

OMG Supply Lines is the worst mission ever. It literally took me at least 40 tries to beat it and over a week of gameplay. Last night I kinda lucked out. I have the controls almost mastered (although the plane handles terribly) my strategy wasto get the van at the start then go after the bike guy, find the other van with the guys who shoot at you and get that (I did it by landing and runnin right into their front wheel and just start blasting (itll take 10 secs tops) then I got the two peeps on the motorcycle by flying behind them and just blasting (as long as you stay even with them you can get it done) I flew toward the next guy (as one of the faqs on gamefaqs said-if you have half a tank of feul after the first 3 kills you all but have this one in the bag) then I got the last van pretty quickly but it took forevere for me to get back to zeros roof, I musta landed with 5 secs of feul left. Damn that was hard. I tried to go after the couriers that cesar called about but I got lost and wound up back in LS. I coudnt remember where to get back so I went to the airport and took the plane ride back to SF (thats a pretty cool touch) damn and michelle is never home I went on one date and she hasnt been there in like 3 days, do I need to get fatter or somethin cuz I know she likes the husky guys lol. Man I have had this game for over a month and am not even 50 percent done with it. Thats great@!!!! I just wish R* would stop putting extremely hard missions in the middle of the game

WCW facts, tidbits, and stuff people forgot

sherri became heats manager in late 94 after flair had "retired" she interfered in a match on tv I think the parker deal was this. on a /july 95 sat nite ep, parkers team of bunkhouse bunck and dick slater upset heat for the tag belts. This basically lead to heat being defacto faces for a while. on the august 95 clash sherri temed with heat against parker and his men. during the match, parker knocked sherri down hard adn she hit her head. the finsih of the match saw sherri wake up and dive on parker , kissing him and getting a 3 count in the process. sherri was now in love with parker, and his team was not too pleased they were haning together. at fall brawl 95 i thinkm heat won back the tag belts and parker started being their comanager aganisnt their wishes. this led to the jan 96 clash where sherri and parker were to be married, but sherri was attacked at the altar by madusa, who was infered to be having an affair with parker at the time. this angle went nowhere as sherri beat madusa on the next nitro and the angle was basically dropped. madusa got mad at parker and turned face and lost to him at uncensored 96. sherri and parker hardly crossed paths untill parker started to managae the amazing french canadians (aka the quebeccers) and on one ppv heat beat the frencha dn sherri got 5 mins in the ring with parker and beat him finally ending the angle hope that helped -
1. Just to clarify, it was, "What up, Mach?" he started using it in '99 when he brought in Gorgeous George and had his little harem with her, Madusa, and Miss Madness '99 (Mona/Molly Holly). 2. His last match was his return as well. It was a battle royal on Thunder in mid-late 2000, I believe for the World Title. Actually he wasnt in the battle royal. the battle was between the members of the new blood and the millionaires club. Macho came out at the end to save hogan and the others old guys from a beatdown.

The One and Only Angel Season 5 Thread
Jericholic82 replied to Steve J. Rogers's topic in Brandon Truitt
I did see pans on thanksgiving morning, right before the macys parade came on. still enjoy it. especially giles and willow arguing over indians and land and Buffys reaction to xander/anyas arrival "You didnt bring rolls?" and anya is gold in this one Anya: Why isnt Xander digging? I came to see him dig (xander starts to dig) Look at his muscles, soon heel be sweating, Im imagining myself having sex with him again Buffy: wow imaginary Xander is a machine anyone notice anyas speaking tone dramatically different early on? especially in this one, her tone seemed to change with her accepting herself as a human again and becoming more cheery. one more quote for the road Anya: Well The syphilis will make you go blind and insane but it wont kill you....the smallpox will though Xander (later on) can we get back to the topic of my new syphilis? -
Hey I just got the holiday 2004 issue of Smackdown Magazine in the mail. It has a pic of Jackie, Torrie, and Dawn Marie in Santa outfits on the cover and a poster of them as well (and apparantly the cover prices is back to 5.99? damn good thing I subscribe for only 20 bucks a year) It also has the results in for ther most outrageous WWE superstar of all time award and the readers picked Gobbledy Gooker (duh) Also has an article about the history of the WWE title. Here's where I noticed something. In recent magazines, they keep referring to Hulk Hogan as Hollywood Hogan. Everything from a question of the month to superstars where dvon dudley answers the question of who would be your dream tag partner from the past or present to be "Hollywood Hogan" to the wwe title article to an ad for wwe24/7 keeps referring to Hollywood Hogan. Is it safe to assume they can no longer legally use the Hulk name? anyhow the magazine was ok but does anyone know what the status of the trademark is? Has Marvel Comics agreemnt expired? or are they just being lazy? Someone here has to know something right?
