IIRC Ted dissapeared sometime in the spring, after a match (I think at spring stampede 97) when he came in to stop nash from beating on rick steiner. in the late summer the steiners simply came out and introduced ted as their new manager

I finally picked up the 1st season dvd yesterday at FYE (it was only 20 bucks, not bad). Cool the episodes that have me int he audience are on there. the quality isnt too great, but then again look at the source videos they had to work with (alot of jumpy images) bad thing is intros and some matches are clipped due to the music. anyhow cool beans to see some of the old xpw v episodes, I hope more volumes are to come

well yea, the first theme started with "yo yo yo yo, pop a forty and check your rollies, its cryme time" and a slower version of the rap song, the newer one started "yo yo yo yo, sha gaspard and jtg, its cryme time!" and then the new faster song (yo no more hollywood, this is holly-hood!", the game seems to have the older one sad that I notice these things also michelle mccool still has her heel teachers gimmick in the game (she carries a yardstick in her intro)

I accidentaly watched this last week and it was pretty good, cool to see david and darlene back together again, care less about the 8 simple rules girl (mostly cuz she was from my area when I lived in cali and the local papers always pimped that fact) actualy would rather have 8 simple rules still on the air (I think they did okay after the Ritter death, bringing in James Garner and David SPade)

I picked up the mysterio set the other day (blue mask cover) skimmed thru some of it, looks pretty good. cool to have the title wins vs dean and juvi on there (the only music dubs for wcw were ultimo dragons (to his wwe music) and Pyschosis (to some lame bizzare song) but oddly enough at the end of the wm 22 match they cut out from where rey is celebrating with chavo and vickie (originally the announcers stop talking and the camera fades into a zoomed up close up of the eddie picture hanging (remember that yera they had all the wrestlers faces on banners hanging on the top of the arena) even though I hate wwe using eddies name to further angles, the shot of this wa stimed perfectly as rey is celebrating and eddies pic he has a smirk on his face, like he is happy, and laughing at the losers of the match and that rey had did it, always liked that moment for some reason. glad the june 2005 smackdown match vs eddie is also included on the set too, as it is a forgotten classic

weird I liked that song enough to use it for a CAW of myself, the intro to it goes well with my entrance at least speaking of songs, why is cryme times old song in the game? they started using their latest theme at least at the begin of 2007

thanks for theme due, great quality, he actually started using that theme before the heel turn, around august or sept 97 when he was still cw champ before losing it to eddie. its actually a nice ripoff of Evenflow by Pearl Jam an dyea someone else probably used it since it was wcw and they recycled themes like crazy

I just picked up Jerichos book last night at Waldenbooks, two weeks ago I got Bischoffs book (the paperback version), almost done, interesting stuff, but not really a must-read. Hardcore diaries was fun cuz of foleys style, but yea the weakest of the 3 due to less material and time periods to cover. Grahams book was pretty inciteful and worth a read

farooq redid the nation after king of the ring 97, since the old guys failed to help him win the title vs taker at KOTR 97 (pg 13 was kicked out way before this though)he formed his new team and then was scheduled to have a tag match vs ahmend and taker on raw, during the match ahmed turned on taker, joining the nod, the next week I think , crush brought out his new DOA stable and ahmed was injured in the ensuing brawl, thereby canceling his scheduled wwf title match vs taker at canadian stampede(vader wrestled taker instead) ahmed returned to the nod at summerslam 97 well then, ahmed was kicked out of nod the night after summerslam 97, Im not sure rock turned heel that night but maybe the next week, so early/mid august 97 is the time of the brith of the Rock we all know and love (or hate I suppose) watched the 3/31 mnw right now. looking back, to me (as an american I guess so I dont get the national love for bret in canada I suppose) the story appeared to be Bret had alienated everyone by his attitude and had no friends, so he played the family card to get him some backup (even vince and JR hinted there were "selfish reasons" for brets actions) still a nice moment if you throw out the underlying hints there and just take it as bret put it, a family reunion. hope I dont get hated for that, Im not trying to insult any canadians on the board. Just putting it as I saw it at the time as a 14 year dold mark, and now looking back at it. Besides I have always been a HUGE Bret fan. (though at the time I felt betrayed by my hero in my markish days)

BTW on the subject of the raw opening video, I think the reaosn you saw austins bleeding face from wm 13 in the shows prior to the ppv- Raw started using that theme after a few weeks of beautiful people, infact IIRC the show the night after wm 13 used that new theme, so they probably just showed the opening video from after wm so they wouldnt have to dub in the thme over it. anyhow im going to go watch the post wm 13 raw right now since I just watched wm 13 (original ppv I taped live and now I transfered it to dvd)

funny within months, wwf would be all over mtv, but I do remember that incident well, as well as one during the summer of 98 where wcw was supposed to have some matches on mtv live outdoors, but it rained so they settled for announcing the wrestlers and having them represent a video and the fans voting for their fav video and the wrestler got credit for it, very weird, the show also ended with raven attacking ddp oddly enough.

actually eddies splash didnt immediately follow goldberg. eddie only got a two count off that and then decided to cheat by grabbing the title belt, missed a swing with it, Brock lifts him into position for the f-5, starts to do it, in mid-air eddie counters into a kind of tornado ddt, right smack onto the belt, then went up top for the splash, still a great finish yes. even though it was goofy , Booker T spinarooneying right into the rock bottom at summerslam 01 was pretty good too. others of mine including yokozuna slips while attempting the banzai at wm x Steamboat-Flair Chi-Town Rumble steamboat-austin (clash of champions 93, where Steamer wins the tv title aftre austin trhows him out of the ring. by sneaking under the ring, austin doesnt know where he is, steam climbs the opposite side ropes and just catches steve with the flying crossbody for the win) Flair-Vader Starrcade 93 (Flair is chopping vader, vader boxes Flairs ears to drop him, turns to maybe go run the ropes, flair grabs the ankle, trips him and rolls on top for the pin to a HUGE pop in Charlotte,NC) Orton-Cena summerslam 07 Cena-Umaga Rumble 07 where he chokes him out with the ring ropes. Cactus-HHH Rumble 00, Cactus kicks out of the pedigree, so Trips does it again RIGHT INTO THE TACKS for the win and cactus has tacks in his head

I finally finished rewatching seaosn 3 on dvd, now last night I watched the season premire which I taped along with the 2nd episode. Glad to have it back. House with "Dr. Buffer" was awesome.

Im glad for SurSeries 90 for personal reasons, being it was the first PPV i saw, hell the first wrestling show i really watched and it turned me into a lifelong fan. I bought it used on CHV a few years back but my vcr ate the tape. I was hoping for havoc 91 just for the chamber of horrors match honestly. yknow RAW was defin way better than Nitro at this point, though it would take a nother year for the ratings to reflect that. They had a better sense of anything can happen (with the ecw invasion, semi-shoot promos, bret harts character change, and Stone Cold of course)
