I just played a crazy, fun game in year 2 of my giants franchise, with my long winning streak on the line agaisnt the Packers at home. My openning drive took up the whole 1st quarter (Im uisng 5 min qtrs) but resulted in a FG. Packers tied it up soon after, then later added a late fg to go ahead 6-3 at half and my offense is struggling. Finally I recovered a fumble and scored a td to go up 10-6. Then the last qtr was insane with me scoring like 2 more defensive tds and junk and wind up winning 30-6 at this point Im 6-0 extending the winning streak to 25 including last years playoffs, and manning is awesome at qb, throwing for 314 yards and 5 tds in my last game. Ive basically changed my offense, with passing being the key after losing barber for almost the whole year, this is still fun!!!!!

I still don't think Yukes will bother changing Orton's theme now, but you never know. I dont knowbut if you remember from HCTP the evo theme with lyrics made it in, and that theme didnt really come out till late august (they tweaked the theme a few times, first no words, then a rough cut of motorhead sining, then the final theme which has been used for a year now), but most likely not, since THQ/Yukes would have to get liscense from whoever is sining randys new theme and that would take too much time and money btw are flair and stacy the only ones w/o offical themes in this game? I mean is it like DOR for GC? ie Kane has real theme? what about RVDs? if flair and stacy randy are missing their themes I can deal with it but no more lol why not put flairs old wwf theme (wwf ripoff of his theme) on there instead like they do on most wwe dvds? I like that version better anyways. FX is airing the Prom episode from Season 3 of Buffy at 2pm. I'll probably not watch as I hate watching in syndication with stupid commercial break, I got to get the dvds for ang/ffy (a lame abbreviation if there ever was one lol) angel season 4 ive seen in the papers go as much as 45 bucks but at best buy its only 39.95, anywhere cheaper? not that Id get season 4 first as Id like to get them in order (maybe theyll be cheaper after season 5 drops) and speaking of season 4, I finally saw the rain of fire one (is that the name of it?) where beast massacres WR&H so I now have seen every angel ep ever, do I get a medal, or at least a cookie. angel quote of the day from the above mentioned s4 show Connor: What are they? even funnier about the wall of fire is that the camera panned to the entrance way for about a half-second then showed kane again, the problem was when they showed the entrance, you could see the pyro thing with tiny flames coming out of it. on heat and any other replays they edited it out funny note as I was there live for the wedding, and all of a sudden pyro guys pulled out this big thing and tiny flames shot out so we knew what was going to happen as for others, Pat Patterson getting the ball-claw from mankind during a match with foley vs shane (shanes first ever match) on raw late 98 foley mentioned it in "foley is good" his 2nd book pats selling of it is the funniest thing you will see

They had an article in my local paper about the passion not selling well here. On elady was quoted as returning the dvd after watching it for 10 mins-no not because of the violence,no not becuase she found it anti-semtic- but becuase it wasn't in english. I kid you not "Were in america, why cant it be english" is what she is quoted as saying. thats all well and good but I dont think you can return a dvd you already opened, and certainly not due to the language. I just preordered it last week at my local gamekrazy(hollywood video) for 5 bucks, the guy told me the new release date is 10/25 but that might change

RIP ACCLAIM Actually the Royal Rumble game for snes was pretty good and as was wwf raw for snese/sega(which I still own a copy of) I liked asb 05(at least it was only 39 bucks), just finished a season today never played out on n64 oddly (well cuz n64 games were way expensive-59.99 compared to pst 49 bucks or lower I rented the south park n64 game and enjoyed it. Lots of funny lines. acclaim was the only company to decently put real entance themes in a cartridge game (attitude for 64) but their late wwf games were bad (hello ecw hardcore revo. as well) this is weird, as I remember that acclaim name from all the way back in the day

I have learned that holding onto ropes of any kind and/or pulling on someones pants will automatically give you enough strength to win I also learned that missing a move from the top rope and hitting the mat hurts more then hitting a 300 pound wrestler with your head or body I have learned that ddt will only end the match if it is you finsiher to add to that, any move can put the opponent down forever, as long as you call it your finsihing move

is your dvd different, cuz on mine, the extra starts with steamboat already in the ring. I really wish they would have shown the whole intro part. but yea it is a really great way to put over someone in their first match. steamboat was well remembered by old nwa fans from the late 70s/early 80s and his whole history with flair. If I was a fan in 89, that would have been a really shocking moment to me. They kinda copied it when rick returned to wcw in 91 as dustin rhodes mystery partner and won the tag titles at the nov 91 clash, but clearly not to the same extent

I don't like to rate matches cuz I really don't understand the star system too much anyhow. but yea the drama and emotion make it a 5 star angle, but its not much of a match. but that's why mick wanted to do the big spot at the beginning cuz he knew the actual match would suck. the fall thru the cage is the most brutal thing I have ever seen, as he lands hard on the older harder wwf ring, he didnt bounce, he hit his head and body straight on, I dont know how he didnt get paralyzed or even die after that one. And the crowd is pretty lame, as Mick had no heat for his entrance (multiple personality changes and face/heel alignments had basically destpryed his credibility at the time-and for the most part the wwf audience in 98 was new to the product and didnt know foley too well) I do hate how JR taked about it afterwards "these two men gave you everything,they gave you of their souls here tonigth" taker didnt do a thing (except for carry mick thru the match part)to get hurt, he got a few thumbtacks on him and he bladed but thhts about all. the realk bumps were all micks. it was a fitting end to the feud though, even if they did have a rematch on sunday night heat a moth later Its interesting how jr always said thast no one held more wins over taker than mankind, when his only televised wins were kotr 96 and summerslam 96 (which wasnt a real match) are we counting house shows here? then again does taker job to anyone else twice?

I have it on my extreme evolution vhs and yea it also dissapoints me. But then again RVD is always overated. That was a really sick bump lynn took, no wonder he was hurt. and RVD had no idea how to stall for time (despite that being his specialty during most of his matches) the last 10 mins were pretty good though, the sunset flip powerbomb thru the table looked pretty brutal, and RVD used to get some real height on his frog splashes back in the day

I finally got this dvd last week. I would rank it just under flairs, if only because they had some weird choices of matches. I figured that they could have at least put one of his wwf tryout matches on there (as you see in the main feature they do indeed have the footage) also, the music editing is highly annoying. Most of those wcw themes were stock music anyways, probably would have been cheap to add them you cheap wwe people. and of course editing out jesse (he's a jerk for demanding royalties-do we hear from tony schiavone or heenan or even styles about this?) The regal match isn't too great imo. The terrible video quality doesnt help matters, but its understandable as this was basically an indy show that wcw and wwf guys happened to appear at. yea I did mark out for Pillman's cameo. I remember that staurday night episode so well when benoit was introd. I was really disturbed by the over the edge footage (shocked that they put it on there) as it made me realize again how stupid it was for owen to die for a stupid comedy angle that no one would have missed. And the people in the crowd still goofing off was weird (although I would think that no one in the crowd was told about the death - I still can't believe they didn't stop the show) I thought they would have shown clips of the next nights nitro where benoit as well as roddy piper wore black armbands in tribute. You can tell by Benoit's face that he truly was devasted by this. They kinda ripped us off by advertising benoit/sabu as if it was anb actual match, and it only lasted 40 secs, but it is cool to have that historical moment on there (btw I thought Benoit was given the crippler name after he broke sabus neck, but on the dvd, when he comes out for the match, joey styles refers to him as crippler chris benoit) I wish they had the match where malenko/benoit won the ecw tag titles though, but theres always the future. the japan footage is cool to have, even if the matches are differntly paced then what I am used to. its cool to have a commentary choice, i listened and watched the liger match with benoits commentary, todd grisham is indeed a moron, but for the j cup matches I listened to cole/tazz who were indeed very good (I was rotfl as Tazz made fun of sasuke and talked about how much he didnt like him and coles responses) I gues i ll have to go back and listen to the rest of the commentaries. I finally finished watching all the extras today, angle at rumble and wm xx, to be exact. all in all, it's a very good dvd with an intersting selction of extras, and an excellent main feature. I give it a 8/10 maybe a 9 but the probs mentioned above drag it down (wish I wouldnt have paid 29.95 for it

What bug got up Vinces BUTT to cause this? It seems to me as if he wants people to take his workers seriously- BAHAHAHAHAHHAHAH the entire country at large (exempting fans and casual fans) sees wrestling and especially WWE as a joke anyway. I mean I get it, he doesn't want them to look slobish, but I would think nice jeans and a tshirt aint so bad if its not all wrinkly and dirty. as for Rock, that's what he was wearing to the ring that night, on TV the dress codes is supposed to be about traveling and such right? But I guess you mean backstage and leaving and stuff. here's an idea Vinnymac, stop worrying about the dress codes and try to keep putting on quality entertainment for us fans okay? It's not too much to ask when we spend lots of dough on tix, ppvs, dvds,cds, and video games, and magazines , etc WOOHOOO 500th POST ITS ABOUT TIME AFTER 2 and A HALF YEARS ON THIS BOARD

We're probably just better off buying the Pioneer DVDs if they still are out there (doubt it, but maybe online) they had good quality, well at least for the vhs tapes I got (Extreme Evolution, Path of Destruction,Heatwave 98, and Anarchy Rulz 99) all they did was clip the entrances (probably cuz of the music, i know that they always overdubbed motorheads version of enter sandman from the ECW soundtrack into those vids, but I guess we have to wait and see, maybe wwe will produce this ecw disc better (pioneer did a hell of a job, but on the Benoit DVD, the ECW parts arent too great-then again the master tapes are of poor sound and video quality, they're definately in mono from 94-96ish) Am I making any sense here lol any prices yet for it (probably the same as other 2disc sets)
