Well the LA crowd is ok , Ive been to 2 evetns at staples (sd 8/01 and unforgiven 9/02) and the crowd was pretty good. Im going for the first time to anaheim on monday (my luck, my first ever time to go to a raw and I get another crap wedding angle) yea the crowds tend to suck, but thats due to the fact that most californians (read, rich ones, or fake posers) are bland and their reactions match that (as well as the crappy food-man I miss NY sometimes). and add that to the fact that most here are front running or fairweather fans for sports, they dont really have any passion for that, so wrestling I guess applies as well (though wm 12 was boring as hell IMO) the blue collar crowds are the best. the best crowds I have seen are at indy events I have been to here. think about how much wm tix cost, do you really expect your average fan to be able to afford it? (though I plan to reverse the trend and somehow score some seats for wm 21) so you get the hollywood phonies (which I have suggested as the new name for the lakers, as there arent many lakes in LA lol) you see most here suffer from what I like to refer as sun brain damage and some even have the deadly "Poser virus" which forces them to spend all their money going out to the movies, and buying stuff for their homes which they never spend time in and getting divorced 5 times, and owning 5 cars in a two person household in an effort to have more stuff than anyone else, and being afraid to die since they know they cant take their stuff with them (once again this is only my hackeneyed theory) sorry for the rant there Ill try to think of a good sign to bring (though I usually dont bring any) perhaps one hailing our own smartmarks forum SMARTMARKS DOT COM FORUM ROCKS!!!!!!! yea that totally reeks of awesomeness

I loved when austin/piper asked about the whole money thing. Tim is all like charity (righhhhht) I wonder what the origianl plan was if amanda didnt fall down and break herface (lol), did they just assume it would happen cuz of the bandminton match? Tim was surprisingly mad, remember he said when he got there he was just looking to have fun, wasn't too serious, I guess he fell for "Piper". Her crying was annoying but still genuine. what happened is the wife gets mad, cuz her husband is not going to let her take the youth serum (he hates her and wants to leave her to die and will take the potion with his friends) they take the first part and she puts vodka into the mox before they take the 2nd part. they die and she take sthe real stuff and turns young, as she leaves the trailor, the dog attacks and kills her. those people find the puppy (he ate her so i guss he go turned young) chewing on a big (human) bone. and the brothers feud , was that the younger one (played by the guy who was carl in the movie ghost) once played a practical joke on his older brother (played by beau bridges), his bro had a heart attack/stroke. so he was weak and had to walk with a cane and lost his practice and was now teaching young kids. he gave the bro the stuff, he thought he had died, then the old bro revealed it to be a joke when it wore off, they laugh, then the young guy has a heart attack, not before old bro gives him the stuff again. then the autopsy people come and start to drill his skull and it ends with a great line "You were wrong, feeling isn't the first thing to go, it's the last AHHHHHHHHHH" anyways this tv series is pretty cool, I used to get scared by it as a kid (and I was also very afraid of the crypt keeper for some reason-nightmares abound) especially by the episode with Morton Downey Jr(playing a fictional version of himself-named Horton) as the tv talk show host who goes live into an abandonded house thats supposedly haunted, a pyschic tells him not to go in but he does with his camera guy (some long-haired dude) then weird stuff starts to happen in the house (Its haunted because some old lady who lived there used to invite strangers into her home and kill them) the guys see weird stuff and ghosts, and the camera guy winds up dead hanging from a wall. the final scene sees horton in a bed room confronted by the crazy old lady weilding a chainsaw, the camera is dropped so they ee sounds, thinking he is acting. he tries to get away but falls thru the glass window and hangs himself on the way down. the tv people are shocked but the one lady who hated him secretly loves it. after watching it on its first airing in 1990 I could not sleep all night ( i was 7 at the time people) but this definately deserves the dvd treatment btw the santa killer ep is a remake from the TFTC movies from the 70s

My dad still won't totally believe that wrestlers blade. He was so shocked wehen I told him that. But seriously no one really has bugged me about the fake thing. My sister goofs on me for watching half-naked guys roll around pretending to fight, and for having my wrestling posters and tshirts with pics of shirtless musclebound men (I guess it is kind of gay, but then again, wrestling is heavily homo-erotic) but who cares. Of course its predetermined, who would watch it if it were a real competition with no characters or angles? same as watching a movie or tv show besides I dont know whos gonna win (well except for when its totally obvious, thanks to the net) so its cool.

oh btw, the sat morning recap show was still WWF Mania at that point

I feel your pain bro, I feel your pain. I was in 8th grade, but still a mark I only had basic cable at the time so I couldnt watch raw and I didnt have a job so i couldnt afford ppvs. Superstars,challenge were still my only outlets.

Espn just did an outside the lines episode about the 94 expos and made many of the same points. They argues both sides of the issue One guy made a point that even if the expos won the ws in 94 they still might have had to cut salaries. Interesting piece. I wonder if espn will show it again for those who missed. I just remember being wildy angry as The Yanks had finally got into a shape were they could comepte for the title(I was 11 at the time so my memories of the yanks were of mediocrity at best and I had really got into baseball during the 93 season by watching alot of games during the summer months ) and the strike sent them back somewhat (they made the wildcard in 95 and lost in the first round) I'm just glad they got it together again by 96 cuz if not, I may not have seen a yanks win in my lifetime for a while and the face of baseball may have been quite different right now. no matter our fav teams I think we can all agree that the strike sucked big time. And they still made Selig the full-time commish YIKES

hey dont hate on fox, I actually like some of the new summer shows like Quintuplets (will poor andy richter ever get a succesful show) and meth and red, heck I even watched the simple life 2. funny how only the 3rd one I listed is the only one confirmed for another season. The problem is TV shows typcially don't do well if they debut in the summer, as most people aren't used to that happening. and in the summertime, the youth are too busy having fun to watch tv (except for me apparently) But I am just glad to see Family Guy will return, but I wonder who'll supply the voices for the other characters, I hope Seth Green returns as Chris. and Stewie better be the same guy heck even Lois and Meg need to be the same for the show to be perfectly good with all FG fans

I was just thinking? Did the principal know the mayor was an evil immortal being? Because he sure seemed surprised in the Graduation episode. Although that's a big markout moment for me (dummy was admonishing the giant sanke mayor for ruining the ceremony) anyways there already to the 2nd season 3 ep on fx problem for me now is I am watching too many reruns of both shows, that I'll never want to get the dvds except of the extras. I carried it around in high school and especially after I got a bad grade or something. I used to be embarrased about being a fan, but as I got older I just didn't care. But those belts are far too expensive. Livewire debuted in the fall of 96 so Nash was never on there (he was in wcw by that point) I think HBK might have been the one who got the clique questiong because I kinda remember that. And this show was cool at first (I remember being mad since I live in california so I coudn't call in-since it was live to the east coast only) I remember the discussions the week after the jr kinda heel turn and the debut of the fake razor and diesel. and yes I do remember when JR kept cutting people off, very funny. As for Russo, he did double-duty for wwf magazine at the point as he wa sthe eidtor and sometimes writer of articles, as well as the heel vic venom ho had a column. he first showed his face on livewire, but was never acknowledged as vince russo, until a 1998 RAW where he gave an award to sable on behalf of raw mag and was called vince russo (btw luna came out and attacked sable- as this was prior to wm 14) the next month in wwf magazine, he admitted in the bite (vic venom column) who he was since it had already been seen on tv and basically said how hed been leading a double life in wwf/raw mag so to speak. and yes I really do have too much useless wrestling info stuck in my head as for paul heyman, this happened the week or so after the iyh mindgames ppv in philly where paul,sandman,and dreamer sat in the front row and sandman got them kicked out by spitting beer in savio vegas face during his strap match with your future WWE champion Justin "Hawk" Bradshaw the next night on raw Taz came out of the crowd with a "Sabu fears Taz ECW" sign and got kicked out, this was the start of the ecw invasion angle. after heymans call-in ecw wasn't mentioned again until Jerry Lawler challanged ecw to show up on raw after getting mad at an ecw sign held up in the fron row of a raw ep. the next week of course was the famous invasion show held at the original RAW home of the Manhatten Center in NYC (later used by ecw under the new name of the hammerstein ballroom) which also featured the return of the LOD to the WWF. and I have once again babbled on for far too long

well i originally came up with that when i considered buying a ticket to judgment day but later saw that they were almost sold out and decided not to. you could modify it I suppose to say something similar how about bradshaw vs taker revenge from the april 1, 1996 raw or Minstry members collide or JBL-Taker: my 2nd favorite match ever, all the others in history are tied for first hope JBL breaks out the hand sanitizer in canada , but he may get beer thrown at him (and rightfully so) and I hope conan sends the space needle and cn tower back to toronto for round three on the ppv (or at least have the fed-ex pope do a run-in) or bust out the embodient of every canadian stereotype, the hockey playing mountie who lives in a beercan igloo and loves rush sorry all, Im not busting on canada Im just reliving conans trip to toronto in feb

A-rod will probably become a great all time 3rd baseman now so why the hate. and it wasnt totally up to derek, cmon he may be the captain, but we all know george runs the show. (actually I also think jeter coulda moved to 2nd or 3rd and done fine). enough with the yankee hate and more with something else especially considering they havent won a ws in 4 years and it wouldnt be too unbeleieveable for them to blow another one but hey Im a diehard yanks fan and I like to think I am not one of those obnoxious ones I hear so much about. lol my thoughts exactly when I first saw it on tnt today they showed the angel season 3 ep with the trip to the ballet not such a great show but some funny moments as per the usual. fx got to buffy season 3 today , yknow what always bothered me, why does principal snyder hate buffy so much, he never gave her a chance from the moment he showed up. I guess he knew her record and is a real jerk about stuff like that. and I hated how he forced buffy xander and willow to help out with the kids on halloween, i was thinking If I was one of them Id be like screw you guys Im going home Im already getting withdrawals from no new angel damn you wb!!!!!!

good points all, did you also notice regal talking about he is a bad man and has done bad evil things and normally if hhh had done that to someone else than eugene he may even have liked it, but not to eugene. so hes like hey im evil and all but not that evil to take advantage of a mentally disabled person. Regal hated eugene at first but grew a respect for him when he trained him and he proved himself in the ring. since regal came from the carnival streetfighting days, you would have to think this is truly believable (the respect issue). Cmon who's going to cheer for a guy taking advantage of and making fun of a handicapped person? that's why eugene is over (though they have strained that by putting him all over raw) like rick steiner or george steele before him. and the blood was brutal, Regal sure knows how to blade properly (probably took his aspirin before the match too) i mean it was dripping off his head in thick puddles GROSS first eddy and now regal, we may need a Blade Job of the year award

I'd say HHH swinging it like a baseball bat and hitting Big Show IN THE HEAD to help Rock + Sock win a Buried Alive match back in 99 did it, IMO. uh rock and sock lost that match but hh hit show? i dont recall that I know he cost rock and sock the match the austin showed up in an ambulance that was theoritcally there to help rock and foley and beat up hhh
