Where's the relation between making Orton the champion and sticking it to Lesnar? the significance is that Lesnar became the youngest wwe champion in history at ss 02 at 25, orton is only 24, heck randall even mentioned it on raw despite the fact that the raw title is a bogus title (its basically the wcw title with no cred) but myabe we can just draw from it that it carries the wcw/nwa lineage all the way back to 1906!!!(tm eric bischoff) and also rock/brock will probably be thought of as 10 times or more better than the orton/benoit match well get besides that benoit has beaten orton numerous times in tag matches (the last time in the six man elimination tag on raw a while ago (yknow the one when the show lasted 15 mins past the usual end time)\ and if orton does win at ss I cant bring a "hey at least bradshaw isnt the world champ here" sign to raw on aug 23 as a "tribute" to scott keith (and if any of my fellow smartmarks on this board are going to summerslam, please try to bring a "I can't believe I went to a ppv main evented by bradshaw" sign for me lol )

Finally got a ps2 copy on wednesday, didnt paly it till like 10 pm pst since my yanks were on tv and I got to see a-rod walk off impression so far (played about 4 hours total) wow these are awesome graphics (especially for ps2) I dont have a hdd but I have no prob with that. didn't play a season yet since my memory card is low on space (damn I shoulda got one at the store-but cmon 24 bucks, i know theres a cheap knock off card just as fine) Created a vip for me with the giants, unlocked some crib point and got some giants posters and sofas and bar lights. challenged by funkmaster flex 2 times already and he beat me twice (the second time earlier today before smackdown came on, I as the panthers blew a 14-0 lead in the 2nd halkf and late in the 4th they hit a field goal for a 17-14 lead, I turned over on downs on next possesion, but since I had a to left used it after a 2nd down, then on 4 down I purposely went offsides to stop the clock and got it punted to me with 50 secs left, but my drive came up short) the gameplay is pretty solid, but Ive only played on rookie mode since I am new to this series (only played madden 03 for ps2 and before that nfl qbc 98 for n64) I bought it cuz it was 20 bucks, if not I might not have bought a fb game since I am more of a baseball fan (I own asb 05 for ps2-sorry I dont have an xbox lol) the running game is pretty simple but I have had a hard time with passing as the defense seems to constantly get to my qb too soon anyway the presentation owns all, even with the still shots instead of video (whats up with that anyway, is the ps2 disc too small to fit that? ) the pregame fly over with fans tailgating going to seats, vendors during the game, players on the phone, the coaches, crazy fans, its all very real. its almost close to watching the nfl on espn. the announcers are not too annoying even though they repeat too much and sometimes say dumb things (like questioning me going for it on 4th down, while trailing by 3 with 25 secs left in the game) the lipsynch is bad and the post-game interview is funny with the players with someone elses voice (i was rotfl when michael strahan was interviewed after a game) the top 25 moments are pretty cool too, I beat a couple already like bills-giants superbowl, and rams-titans sb anyways I cant have a full opinion till i get a mem card and play a season oh and the other problem is that we have seen far too many roster changes in the last 2 weeks in real life and thus the game is crazy (though I was thrilled to see an old high school classmate of mine, Keary Colbert of USC, on the roster of the panthers) oh and btw I live near where the cowboys are training in oxnard,ca went there yesterday (before I bought the game) and I wore my giants hat (ha) I know the eagles are supposed to be our rivals, but I hate the cowboys more carter had just been relased so you had tons of reporters around. saw testaverde practice throws and parcells was yelling at them. and watched some kickoff drills. didnt stay long cuz hey, I am a Giants fans after all (and besides smy dad only went cuz of Parcells-I kinda wanted to ask him why he was a traitor and hooked up with the 'boys)

the e and c thing was done during an x-pac/road dogg tag match on raw april 00, this was buiulding to e and cs first title defense against dx at backlash 00 (thus having to play face despite recently turning heel-but the ppv match was good and x-pac did a nice blade job at the end after a bell-shot) and edges comment went like "1998 called, and they're sick and tired of you" also said something like "hanging around with really cool people does not make you cool" how about the whole goldberg-nash-steiner "shoot" feud during august 00. they had a 3 way at new blood rising ppv where goldberg walked away during the match (thus shooting) and then the announcers say thats not in the script and that steiner-nash will have to improv a new finish............then the match ends and they go back to mark mode for the booker t-jarrett main event basically wcw was telling the fans "everything you see is fake, except for this, this is real" that's why we hate Russo

I too marked out when I saw this shirt under Mick's flannel, as I had bought it a few weeks prior. It got few wears (mostly around Halloween when I would throw on the flannel, sweatpants, and sock puppet and Foley myself up. It was sometimes way too difficult explaining that outfit, but those that got it really loved it. I also would carry around a small CD player and mini speakers in the flannel so I could play his theme song at random intervals. I feel it will be the only time in my life I had a theme song accompany an entrance into a room. EDIT: The "one word" thing also was always a big mark out thing for me every since Foley was on WWF Superstars one morning as Mankind and looked into the camera and OUT OF NOWHERE at the end of an interview he says "And I've got one word for you.... BUCKET!" and pulls a bucket out from behind him. It was so off-the-wall that I couldn't help but laugh for the next five minutes or so. I made my own socko back in 99 and it still sits on my dresser. my senior year of high school, for my computer class, I did a powerpoint presentation on foley. my teacher wanted 5 pages, mine lasted like 30 and covered his start till his "retirement" after nwo oo of course he came back for wm but yknow. i brought my socko but my teach was kinda thinking I was weird and she was incredulus when she found out he had a #1 bestselling book I even put his theme song clips and my friend made a mini-disc of them since my teach didnt have speakers. lol blasting "Mr Bang Bang" in school lol I was always wanting to dress as some wrestler for halloween but never really have. One year I wore my angle shirt and put on a medal but thats about it. hey don't feel bad about the theme song, I alwasys listen to my wwe cds on my discman when I walk places or when I was on the bus. I crank it up and walk around pretending to be someone (unless theres someone around lol) lol I listened to wwf forceable entry like 65 times while taking the bus to college 2 years ago I am never afraid to announce to the world I am a wrestling fan Heck I did my 11th grade research paper on brian pillman (we had to research someone, and the only caveat was they had to be dead for whatever reson, sadly during this project is when owen hart died so I put a tribute in there for him) and I got an A I TOTALLY REEK OF AWESOMENESS followed that up with a paper on owen done for spanish class IN SPANISH In my senior essay, I mentioned first watching the wwf as a life-changing experience In my business class, my partner and I created a fake business-an indy promotion and we even made up a ppv event poster. (BTW it was called the NRWF-No Rulz Wrestling Federation) did a book report for foleys first book filled my english class personal poster with wrestling pics did a fantasy booking thing and included it in my creative writing college class book then made up a tv pilot script for the classefor a show about Vince Russo moving in with our fav IWC leader Scott Keith called "Life with Russo" Ill have to post that sometime. My teach had no clue what I was talking about but gave me an A anyway oh geez I just rambled off topic for 10 mins sorry and HAVE A NICE DAY BANG BANG

ok if wrestler have lethal finishing moves, then why don't they go for them as soon ast he match begins. I mean sometimes you see this, but not often. and why is it that as soon as a move becomes your finisher its immediately a match ender. I mean Rock started using the peoples elbow in 98, it was considered a wear down move at best and kind of a joke. by 99 hes using it to pin the big show . I mean what's the difference between it and a regular elbowdrop. and why in last nights iron man match, did hhh try to fight the sharpshooter, he (in kayfabe) should have immediately tapped out to avoid injury (since he was ahead by 2 falls) and also why did benoit bother to break the hold after the fall, he should have held on for another fall, or if a fall means you have to break (never explained) then just put on the hold again. and I HATE ROPE BREAKS IN NO DQ MATCHES and WHY DID RIC FLAIR PIN HOGAN AT UNCENSORED 99 WHEN IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A FIRST BLOOD MATCH and why is it that angle cost eddie the cage match I mean eddie had a chance to leave but decided to frogsplash jbl why do heels hold the ropes when rolling up an oppenent (ex edge 2 weeks ago against batista, holding the ropes in that kind of rollup would not give extra leverage infact it might give less, also see honky tonk man vs jake roberts wm 3) how does holding the tights do anything? Why if a wrestler misses a top rope move and hits canvas hes hurt more than landing on a bony wrestler (like benoit missing the headbutt last night, youd think it hurt less to hit the mat instead of hhhs shoulder) why is tapping out more embarrasing then submitting the old way (saying i give up or quit or yes)

oh btw I still have them all hanging in my closet but most of them either dont fit well, or are too sweat-stained (like my austin 3:16) but stilll keep them for memory purpose -man I must be a loser to you guys

this show keeps getting better. I was rotfl lasht night. especialyl when they were whispering ideas into tjs and cammys earpiece and tim was liek "hey tj its tim" and tj goes "hey whats up tim? i mean oops uhh" abd bryce attempting to sabotage tj and amanda getting mad. and gerald looking dissapointed cuz he didnt get a kiss from austin. yea I think that austin is supposed to be wanting piper back so he got rid of the guy she seemed to be connecting most to. besides ralph said it we dont want to break anyones heart here they (tim and amanda) cant get too close to p and a quote of the week "Oops I stepped on Everett" Ingrid

hey I was at that show when rhyno gored jericho thru the old set too. also that night in la, DDP and Kanyon won the wwf tag titles from apa when Test interfered and joined the alliance, and taker and kane won the wcw tag titles from ohaire and palumbo - so I guess that's kind of historic, with both tag titles changing hands on the same night at the same show. also had austin pillmanizing angle and beating him up the ramp while saying the pledge of alliegance. and rock rockbottomed shane o mac thru the announce right in front of future gov ahnold I also went to unforgiven 02 and saw trish beat molly for womens belt, Ric Flair turn heel on rvd and hhh retains the belt (crowd didnt like that) an awesome angle/benoit match, rikishi in drag beating up eric bischoff, a great edge/eddy match (with the la crowd cheering the heel eddie and booing the heck out of the supposed face edge) and a near riot as taker/brock ( a very good match) ends in a dq. My first ever wwf show, was a house show at msg in late november/early december 91 with Ric Flair vs Hogan and the abomination that was the WWAS first live ppv in las vegas (but hey I had a great time at the meet and greet and we had great seats for the show) I think maybe 35 people bought tix (we were ssuckers and paid 50) and the rest were given free (you can tell by watching the show) and planted signs galore (they gave me a lame disco inferno one and I told them that I was insulted, so I wrote they gave me this sign on the back lmao) as well as bret hart fumbling thru a promo (first time Id sign him live since a 93 house show in white plains, ny) and trying to praise the canadian hockey team which beat the us that day for the gold then getting booed and coming up with a lame diatribe against terrorists and bin laden. Poor Bret but at least i got to see AJ styles and chris daniels in a match

i hate the half-naked pics but at the time it was cheaper to buy a shirt from kmart than shopzone (i was a teen with no job ) lol my sis always teased me about it but strangely no one else did, only teased cuz I was constantly wearing nothing but wrestling tees for a long time to school

i have a bunch of knock off wwf/wcw tees from the 98-2001 era. i wore most of them during my high school days, at one time I wore pretty much a wrestling shirt each day cuz they were all the new shirts i had (this was during the boom of 98 so kmart and the like had loads of cheap ones) the worst may be a kurt angle one that has a pic of him on the front superimposed over the original sd set and it says kurt angle a true american hero. the bad part is angle looks super gay in this pic but I badly wanted an angle shirt (i even wore it to a sd taping in aug 01-the one where rhyno gored jericho thru the old set) i even have a wcw nitro grill shirt , from 99 when wcw had its own restaurant in las vegas (outdating wwfny) . The only offical shirt i have is an unforgiven 02 shirt since i went to it In the old days, some of my mark friends were confused (i was prob one of the few wrestling net geeks at my school despite the fact i was in 11th grade and these kids were like 16) that i would wear both heel and face wrestlers shirts I even bought a cheap rock shirt in nov 98 and wore it for the first time to school the day after he won his first wwf title and most of my friends thought it was cool (it was a pic of rock with smell what the rock is cooking on it) Im going to raw on aug 23 in anaheim, maybe ill check out the shirts on sale

season 2 of buffy is on fx now, yesterday had the ep Ted with superb acting by the late John Ritter. Its amazing to me his ability to play both comedic and dramatic roles. and xan obssessing over the min-pizzas is funny too. and as i think about it, the whole xan/cord thing was lame. she was using him and wouldnt even tell anyone at first.
