Though I am a big foley mark, I would tend to side with flair on the in ring work arguement. Mick wasnt the greatest technical wrestler but that was because he wasnt a great natural athelete. As he said in his book, he knows alot of hold but made more money with the hardcore stuff, so there ya go My problem with all of this straight-hate on flair cuz he hated on mick- is that most of the wrestling fans who LOVE foley are the newer ones who came on during the whole explosion of 98. Mick was promoted as a hardcore legend hero type and the fans bought it ya know. I on the other hand have followed his career since his wcw days and looked up to him far before the other johnny come lately fans. My point is that Mick isnt that great of a worker, his gift is in taking punishment and selling well for his opponent. His career has been more of making others look good then himself. Many have benefited from this, including Sting, Tommy Dreamer, and HHH to name a few. However, if what mick said about flair as a booker is true, then he has every right to knock him on that aspect. enough of this obssession with workrate, probably more than 60 percent of the people online who talk about it dont have a clue and are just copying the online journalists like Keith and Meltzer and so on. Bret Hart was my favorite wrestler in the early 90s, do you know why? not becuase he was such a great techincal wrestler and had 5 star matches, but because he was a wait for it GOOD GUY. Back in my mark days, nothing made me happier than the faces beating the heels. Not only did Bret do this, he always showed character and never did anything bad, he was the consumate wrestling hero. I havent seent eh film yet, but am compelled to after all this debate. Personally I don't like Bush. Actually I don't really trust any polticians. Now my dad is a vietnam vet and despite all the hate for that war his a hero to me. I'm not saying I am a coward, but maybe I am, but I don't have an ineterst in the military. I don't have aproblem with any of the troops who do want to go to war, they are truer heros. I am trying to finish up college so I can get a good career and future. If you ask any vet counselors, they will tell you that (as my dads told him) that Bush has a draft proposal ready to go upon his reelection. Scary thought, though I figured this to be the case. So my point is, I don't like Bush or his party right now, but I will not hate on those who do, this is supposed to be The United States of America and we have the freedom of speech (but not if the FCC and the current administartion get their way) and I respect everyone's opnion even if I don't agree with it Now as Michael Moore said himself on Conan on Friday, he is concerned that even Kerry winning would not stop the war anytime soon. So maybe it wont matter. The USA is in major trouble, so my plea to all young americans out there is VOTE, let your voice be heard Hopefully we won't let everything get out of hand so that world war iii wont come to be in our lifetime. havent we had enough of fake reality shows by now? actually i think the shows got played out 3 years ago. the networks think that since one was succesfull, why not 2000 more, then came joe millionaire and the new reality idea, faking out a contentest somehow, then came joe shcmo one, with the only true interesting idea of a bunch of actors playing out a scripted reality show to 1 guy whos not in on it. I dont buy the hey these shows get ratings so we need more, sure they get ratings, but thats only because its the only thing on the air most nights. enough already back to the topic joe schmo 2 is ok so far, but I too miss the original. staples is not a bad venue for wrestling. I went to both a smackdown there in aug 01 and to unforgiven 02. too bad the la crowd is typically not a great one, though for the ppv i went to they were pretty good for a change. (i had floor seats behind the sd announcers desk about row 12 or somethin only cost 90 bucks but that wasn't mania) I would like to go, seeing as I missed out on wm 10 when I still lived in n y, and wms 12 and 16 in anaheim.
