I picked up awa on weds night (in between working to set up for black friday which took us until 1: 10 in the morning ) havent watched it yet but I have off the next two days so Ill have time to check it out and pipers too (wouldnt you know it pipers set went on sale for 14.99 at cc the week after it came out at 24.99 and I paid for it already, then again the new sd vs raw game is now going on sale for 20 bucks off as well after I had bought it two weeks ago at full price, man do I suck)

Favorite non-world title, non-team battle match other than Austin / Hart? well I have never seen austin-hart, so I'll say Perfect/Savage vs Ramon/Falir from 92 the buildup the crowd reaction to Perfect, perfect almsot walking off before returning to kick ass and finally the high five between him and savage to solidify his face status, I became a big Perfect fan that night plus the post match interview with Perfect and savage with a turkey and a cornish game hen for heenan (a weasal bird), then Hennig swats it away like the gum. 5.) last week at work someone was in the bathroom and man did it leave the most ungodly smell I have ever experienced. then another day someone didnt flush and I caught a glimspe of a real nice site EWWWWWWW my dad pretty much rules the fart roost I guess. Though my mom can do well too, my dad is crazyt so he will run into my room at night and ask for help cuz she smelled up the room (of course hes just exaggeratingcuz thats his humor) I get pretty bad when I really have to poop (I can tell even if I dont feell like it cuz it will smell bad) If I eat garlic It gets pretty bad as well as chicken sometimes (alot of foods get to me, I think it stems from being badly colic as a baby)

The kids getting destoryed was a great f'd up moment in the vein of the xmas blood orgy from 04 and the fact that the red wings were celebrating like in the "underdog" movies with the guy and his son hugging. Plus they seemed to be spoofing the might ducks movies cuz some of the characters resembled them. Randy Marsh is indeed god. got the game on weds, but have played it very little so far cuz Im been busy at work and had to go to my cousins wedding this weekend. I have started a season as Kennedy, and wa sthe gues ref and helped Benoit win so I had to fight taker, who I beat cleanly (cuz I was on easy difficuly lol), as far as I got. I think its great that after a match Boogeyman will pull out the worms and thrown them on the downed opponent.

This was the buzz at high school the next day. Everyone - fans, non fans - were discussing it. It was the non/casual fans that pointed out the large amount of styrofoam that was in there to help the fall. Off topic, but it kinda sucks that I don't get to have spirited wrestling discussions at work like I did at school in the 90s, although two weeks ago there was a random debate out of nowhere between two co-workers that there were multiple Undertakers. At 10 years old, I didn't quite know what to make of Earthquake squashing a snake or Macho Man being bitten by one. As a point of reference, 1991 was when I started watching wrestling. I also got antsy watching Berzerker matches after the sword incident because for some reason I thought he was going to go rogue and use it for real. I have no idea why. I seem to recall him taking a swing at Mr. Perfect as well, but he hit the ring post. I thought Yokozuna was Japanese, if that counts as being worked by an angle. I bought into the Liz/Savage wedding, but that was one of the first angles I ever saw and really, how the hell would I know they were married for years? yea but the whole cactus/funk being "dead" thing was ruined by the fact that at the end of the show both of them came running down to the ring to help Austin and Owen against dx and the outlaws with ivs attached and Funk wearing a hospital gown

and were also forgetting how over Monty was during his brief face run in TNA. then he was turned heel for a bizzare reason when TNA decided they didnt want him to beat JJ. but now, the casual wwe fan may have no idea who he is, and we know WWE will bury him to take a stab at TNA. But maybe since TNA is using their homegrown guy Angle in a big way, theyll use Monty similar to fight back?

the gunns thing happened on a december 96 raw, yea I bought it too, just as I seriously thought Shawn would have to retire after the collapse, and was geniuely scared for him when he came back.

I got the piper one at work the other night along with the sd vs raw 07 for ps2. it wasnt on sale oddly, so it was 24.99, but I got it for 21 with my discount. only glimpsed at the discs so fare as I have been too busy. the bonus disc is about 11 and a half minutes long and it has about 4 or 5 pits on it, from memory ones with jesse ventura, kamala, mr fuji (i think). I didnt watch it all just skippe dthru the chapters to see which ones were on there. question, why have they changed pipers theme now? (well they first used it at wm 21) on the extras on the disc, they dont edit his old one (the one he used from 89 onward in wwf/e) I liked the old one better then this one and it would have been much cooler sounding on the menu screens oh well no big whoop I guess

thanks for taking a stand, i must agree with you. Cena has apprantly gotten past the hatred pat, and while older smarks like to boo him, he has the majority of crowd support and is the most over character/wrestler on any of the shows.

I have this on vhs, but not on my pc sadly. this happened right after the main event, which was HHH vs Rock Vs Show for the wwf title (the wwf was giving away the current wm main event for free, of course it was only a setup for foley to get involved)

I think this was right after Bret turned heel. Vince did something to piss him off so he storms down to the announce table. The two exchange words and IIRC the word, "bullshit '' was said by Bret. They get into a scuffle where they pull each others jackets over their head, hence the term ''hockey fight.'' I still don't rememeber this whatsoever. Along the lines, I remember the last Raw before Mania 13, Bret shoved Vince after losing a cage match and saying "bullshit" and "god damn" several times. That doesn't quite sound like what you described though. I want to say this is Bret's reaction to Vince allowing HBK to be the guest referee at Summerslam 97. I could be wrong, though. I think you're right. yes it was (trust me I have a good memory lol)

WWE really needs to stop putting old school ECW matches that were already released on the Pioneer VHS/DVD's on their dvds. I think I already have all those old ECW matches on the Pioneer tapes. The matches on the 2nd disc make it pretty worth it through, all very smart choices......well ok maybe not the Sabu vs RVD ladder match. I picked up the Hogan Anthology dvd set (3 disc) tonight, I just started the first disc and I like the presentation so far. do you really think wwe has any clue that pioneer even exists let alone had these out? anyhow since ythose are out of print by now, I guess it doesnt matter (I have a few of the pioneer vhs versions myself, extreme evolution, POD, barely legal, heatwave 98, and Anarchy Rulz 99)

my cc finally got in unforgiven the other day, the day after no mercy came in. I wound up getting both, plus finally getting the rhodes set.

great stuff, and helps to jog my memory of nitro at the time. the luger-sting angle was tremendous and it was weird to see it end so abruptly as the logical payoff would seem to be Luger finally turning on sting. But with the nWo angle just weeks away from starting I guess they needed Luger to be babyface. too bad the ppvs arent reviewed cuz it leaves out uncensored 96 where Luger was "forecd to be in the main event by jimmy hart" and couldnt wrestle in the street fight, so he was replaced by Booker T of all people(with stings promise of a title shot as the reason). during the match (which oddly was non-title) booker and Animal (I think) fough tot th eback and ran into Luger who was posing in fornt of a mirror, animal ran into him and knocked him over which pissed Luger off so he attacked (with help from stevie ray) and tied animal down, allowing sting and booker to pick up the win and a note the first 3 way wcw tag match I can recal was actually at Bash At the Beach 95 and featured Harlem Heat vs The Nasty Boys vs The Blue Bloods I used to be pissed at Bischoff giving away Raw results cuz back then I lived in Cali and TNT didnt have a seperate east/west coast feed at the time (they finally changed in summer of 98), so I could watch Nitro live at 5 pm PST and RAW taped at 9 pm. and the giant fake face turn just reviewed was interesting, as I totally bought into it at the time. the odd thing is giant would turn against Flair for real when He threw coffee in his eyes by mistake which led to their title match.

I loved when foley mocked this in "foley is good" also remember, earlier in the show vince gave test a wedding present, a match with HHH, which test actually won IIRC. really ludicrous events. and I think when it was mentioned about someone coming out and building an announce table next to the real one, you were thinking about the aforementioned "JR is War table" an dyes it was Billy Gunn who got slammed on it, but he was MR Ass by this point and the reason Chyna was in the ring alone with the nation was cuz the nation had parked a forklift in front of dxs locker room (a trick that has been rehashed a billion times, including the time we saw Ric Flair with a gleeful evil grin driving past the camera) Ric Flair wasn't driving the forklift. Booker T and Big Show were having a hardcore match (or some other sort of brawl) and in the background of a hallway Ric Flair was walking backwards directing HHH who was driving the forklift. yknow I thought so, but everyone on this board kept mentioning flair driving it so I got confused the bischoff surprise moment was kinda ruined by the previous segment with Booker T giving a promo, only to be interrupted by Bisch (though I loved Books reaction "tell me i didnt just see that")
