1000 Reasons why Late Night with Conan O'Brien
Jericholic82 replied to The Mandarin's topic in Television & Film
duly noted and fixed the skeleton show was awesome dont know how to number these since they happened a couple weeks ago and I neglected to post them Conan plays footsie with Regis fpor no apparant reason and gets creeped out by it Conan switched ties with La Bamba and cut the back part off, then gave it to Joe Buck who actually wore it during Game 1 of the world series the last "tv channels" bit, "The black guy with big honky legs" channel, featuring the 8th(?) use of the grub man costume as the big honky legs -
man I should have stuck with kane, though I did good with booker/cena/show. plus lita got like 81 points for me and flair came thru, hardy was decent, and even hhh though he lost on ppv got 44 points this week I had a hard time so I mis mashed raw cryme time flair (maybe a title defense with piper) hardy (ic title rematch perhaps?) hbk cena (probably main event match tonight vs kfed lol) ecw punk (match vs knox this week?) sd batista (specialty match vs finlay) jimmy yang (tag match with hardy vs helms/sylvan a big possibility) kane (probably a match with mvp) woulda picked benoit but he hasnt wrestled on tv since he won the us belt

yea I just got the tombstone set recently. oddly enough I finished watching it last night. but the angle-taker match on here wasnt as good as it was hyped to be (and I havent seen it in 3 years either). Vince bleeds the most ever by a mcmahon in the buried match I mean its just pouring out his head. plus in the first blood match shane mcmahon is nearly decaptitated by austins chair shot, I forgot how brutal that shot was. overall a nice set feautring some pretty famous matches and moments (though some stuff is missing) and a good look at all of his career in wwf/e

I loved when foley mocked this in "foley is good" also remember, earlier in the show vince gave test a wedding present, a match with HHH, which test actually won IIRC. really ludicrous events. and I think when it was mentioned about someone coming out and building an announce table next to the real one, you were thinking about the aforementioned "JR is War table" an dyes it was Billy Gunn who got slammed on it, but he was MR Ass by this point and the reason Chyna was in the ring alone with the nation was cuz the nation had parked a forklift in front of dxs locker room (a trick that has been rehashed a billion times, including the time we saw Ric Flair with a gleeful evil grin driving past the camera)

finished watching the hogan set today (note I skipped thru the andre wm 3 and streetfight vs vince since I had see those matches too many times already.) when they show the nwo formation and the stick it speech, a shogan is coming ot the ring they silence Heenans "but whose side is he on?" line that many have complained about thru the years. starrcade 97 begins at the bell so we dont get stings awesome entrance, but at least bischoff gets to talk before the match and explain kinda the long buildup to perhaps one of the best wcw feuds ever (of course all the awesome went out with the awful match and finish) watched hogan vs hbk for the first time since the live ppv today. man shawn might have had hennig beat for most oversells to hogans offense. too bad the dvd doesnt show shawns promo from the next nights raw (hehe) all in all a good set, despite the oft used matches. wish I had got the wlamrt version but its too late and Im not dropping another 20 bucks for 6 matches

and if before he left, pyro shot out of the wall after he brought his hands down this was quite bizzare and creepy to me

wish someone could release old GWF stuff on dvd(outside of some of those cheap "early years of so and so" ones) wonder who owns that footage?

i enjoyed this weeks halloween show as well. Butters trying to be all "gangsta" was hilarious. I love Butters, hes way more entertaining then any of the regular boys. south parks Satan was funny as usual and had me going with the "nobody dress as the crow" line just cuz he wanted to do it, then he decided to be a schoolgirl. the 3 murderers was of course classic stuff. The Irwin bit was funny, if not a bit tasteless (but thats classic SP for you). I liked how Satan got so indignant at "someone dressing as Steve" Butters dancing with Biggee at the end was a great ender Biggee Smalls, Biggee Smalls, Biggee Smalls..........

nice review bob, I agree with you on most points there. Hugh is a very versatile actor and he got to show some of his comedy skills off here. I was hoping for a House spoof sketch but sadly we didnt get one.

, I know Im such a shill. But I love to impart insider info for my fellow smarks anyhow I also ended up getting the new saw 2 special edition on thursday. this week theres a 2 for 10 special on some of our 6.99 movies, I put the display out myself here infact (lazy coworkers)

Hey since I work at CC now, I thought I'd tell you that yesterday a bunch of horror dvds went on sale for 4.99. This includes the first saw, as well as various Friday the 13th and NOES films as well as all halloweens that are instock, plus the new special edition texas chainsaw massacre I wound up buying saw, killer klowns from outer space, and Simpsons: Tree House Of Horror (which features 5-7, and 12) last night saw 2 special 2 disc set is out this tuesday for 19.99 the 4.99 sale runs thru sat so get out and check it out. (remember to note stock will vary form store-to store so not all titles will be at every store)
-
in the last 2 weeks I have picked up Hulk Hogan: The Ultimate Anthology (just the crappy 3 disc version sadly) Killer Klowns From Outer Space, simpsons Treehouse of Horror, and Saw (4.99 sale at my workplace circuit city) Saw 2: Unrated Special Edition

I really try not to think about it. Why is Jesse's commentary ok on 24/7? Why is some music ok on 24/7 but not DVD? Perhaps they pay when they really need something. A full episode of SNME with Vince talking to himself would be really odd. A Demolition special where the theme is CONSTANTLY being played with an edited theme would also be really weird. Yes I have wondered the same thing about 24/7. Jesse is all over 24/7. perhaps cuz 24/7 is techincally on tv (though its is a pay service) it doesnt count as a commercial release? that might make sense for jesse. as for the music. Jimmy hart is now seemingly back in the fold appearing on the hogan dvd, so maybe the theme issue has been resolved? anyhow excited to hear about the horseman and austin set. as well as the rumble one, despite the obvious blur a mania issues for 98-2002, but itd be cool to have all the rumble matches on dvd.

my team raw: cena (raw, maybe sd, and ppv appearances/matches) hardy (I agree hell retain his title, hopefully since I picked him) flair (hes so winning the tag titles with piper, though it makes little sense ) Lita (will win tourney match on raw, high chance to regain womens title on ppv) HHH (dx wins all the big matches on ppv dont they?) ecw: show (may appear and/or wrestle on all 3 shows, plus ppv main event) sd: booker(same as show) im sure I made a mistake, though last weeks last second pick of orton gave me a cool 27 pts

i remember watching the making of the video back in like 04 or 05 on the wwe experience show wasnt "enemy" used as a wwe ppv theme once? anyhow it was weird to here the song see the name on the screen then my hero and paragon of all virtue appears onscreen I like that song and it got stuck in my head after impact and I wound up humming it all day long at work on friday

yea and it has a surprising amount of special features (making of features and discussion with the writer/directors and great commentary) damn I didnt even know Christopher Titus was in this movie (he played the blond guy with glasses whose glasses are later found in the cotton candy filled car with the glasses) That is one of my all time favorite b-level horror films. I love how the Chiodo brothers say in the commentary that it wasn't a comedy, but the delivery made it that way (or something like that, I haven't listened to it in a while). I picked up Halloween 4, Halloween 5, Rosemary's Baby, Stephen King's Silver Bullet, and An American Warewolfe in London. I went to 4 different stores to find Halloween 3 to finish off the collection, but no one had it. They were sold out!?!?!? I also picked up the just released Slither and plan on watching it within the next few days. yknow it may have been that they had none in stock. heres a hint, even when a sale goes out at CC (at leats here anyhow) that doesnt necessarily mean the store got a new shipment in, they just sell whatever they have in stock. We oddly enough also didnt have any halloween 3 and still dont

The Alliance pays tribute to their leader with "Austin Apreciation Night" the night after summerslam 01. They give gifts, debra has cookies, then they all sing "wind beneath our ring" complete with follow the bouncing austin head lyrics on screen and then its cpaped off by Angle in a milk truck giving the alliance a "milk bath"

wow rvd leads the week so far with 32 points, should have kept him
-
still not here, I think CC is not releasing it in store, the website says it is for shipping only so that seems to confirm it and yea I read on the cc websit the extras include HHH vs Vince Streetfight from the 9-11-06 RAW and Trish backstage after her last match

once again the name of christians wwe song is "just close your eyes" and the band name was W.P.B. (unless you are just using the artist name instead of the title, in that case sorry) Styles has a good song, as does abyss, ravens is a pretty decent one though the wcw version was better. didnt raven switch to a "come out and play" soundalike brielfly in tna (back in the nashville weekly ppv days)? or am I crazy. I also like 3lks last song and for some reason, Killings current song. stings is horrible . jarretts fits him ok, monty brown has a cool Disturbed "down with the sickness" ripoff theme. I even liked Hardys tna theme even though he cant sing. I also do like daniels one LAX has a good distinctive song with a great loud intro with the sirens Joes is perfect for him

how can this game inspire columbien like violence? I thought is was fighting involved not shooting anyhow Im debating whether or not to buy this game and or family guy. but Im still playing GTA:LCS on my ps2 so Id like to finish that first (not alot of time to play when you have a job lol)

yea and best week ever showed a clip where the perv says "I just watched this show on dateline last night" crazy stuff, and yea its wierd how chris is able to make us feel bad for the perp.
