Reissue of D-X DVD (with extra matches)
Jericholic82 replied to pochorenella's topic in The WWE Folder
perhaps the last extra match would be the outlaws vs cactus/funk steel cage for tag title from raw (night after wm 14, xpac intereferes and hits cactus with a chair giving the outlaws the titles, the outlaws thus officially join DX here) personally I'd put the dx vs nod streetfight form raw ausust 98 on here (it sset up the hhh-rock ladder match and it was a pretty good brawl IIRC) -
well raw answered the question, but not a great way to debut on raw.

well after the cabinet angle ended, oj wasnt long for wwe, surprised he lasted this long into 06. so his last moment on tv was telling Nunzio that vito is a tranny, AWESOME too bad he had no heat he had cool music (both his generic one and the "I do what I want to" one)
-
that sucks, I guess they didnt want to piss off parents, as if blood and violence wasnt bad

this will probably just make a lot more fans try and get some illegal black boxes and satelliete cards or not personally its ok since the dvds are cheap, but its not the same as watching it live. (except for last year when one night stand came out on dvd 2 weeks after the show, so I avoided the results online and saw it "live") Im shocked it took him 4 years (2002 was when the price for non mania shows went to 34.95, starting with backlash 02)

why is RVD (the character) suddenly all pro-ecw, wasnt the whole "mrmonday night" angle about him wanting to be in the wwf and helping lawler in his war with them? better question is ECW supposed to be the heels in this matter or not? and why is angle all happy about being the pick when he hated ECW just last year. and why would Vince (on sc`reen that is) allow this to go on his air when the ecw guys are openly bashing him? then again this is the same company that lets us hear the voices in kanes head and tried to lead us to believe kane was looking into his own soul last night when all of us saw another guy dressed as the old kane.

Well, seeing as the first live performances start tonight, and I don't see another thread here yet (if there is, let me know), I'd thought I'd start one. Tonight at 8, the 12 female contenstants perform. Enjoy (or not ) the show. to more gray hairs for Simon.

The Story of XTREME PRO WRESTLING
Jericholic82 replied to LucharesuFan619's topic in General Wrestling
I thought it was ok but I couldn't stand the annoucing. It was sooooooo freaking bad and it was very hard for me to sit through an entire tape of XPW without turning it off because the annoucing was just that bad. oh come on LARRY RIVERA RULES!!! but yea I can see why people would hate it, but I liked xpw for its inherent crappiness, not to mention it was like our local promotion. -
so was the guy who shot him who he hallucinated him to be (husband whose wife was sick and house thought it was an std and the man admitted his affair and house told her and she killed herself after being cured) or not? Id assume so how can your forget the guys ball blowing up?
-
the first time he did it I htink was the sd before summerslam 01 where he talked down members of the alliance in the ring, including Hugh Morrus and Tazz, angle ran out to attack austin and tazz acred like he wa sturning face but attacked angle and the two had a short match in the main event. the crowd started catching on and did it back to austin. at first it was not so bad but it got old by the time he turned face
-
Benoit and Eddy winning world titles happened mostly due to the split, and Rey as well. JBLs rise to the mia n event would not have happened (ok not a big deal but he ha sbecome one of the best heels on either show) and they were able to bring up some rookies like MNM more effectively. but defin the first point

AMERICAN IDOl-SEASON 5: THE THREAD
Jericholic82 replied to Jericholic82's topic in Television & Film
Well that was rather anti-climatic. Vut a pretty good show for the finale. Elliot sounded very good with blige, horrible with Toni who was just making weird noises instead of singing. and meatloaf didnt sound every good at all. Clay looked...uh weird. Youre right Kat didnt seem very happy about the car Puck N Pickler= GOLD. actually the top 12 sings pretty well together, the tour should be good. holy crap I forgot Mcghee was in the 12. kinda weird to put prince on right before the results, could have overshadowed it. (oddly enough I could not stop laughing during his songs, cuz I wa sjust watching my chappelles show dvd yesterday and listening to rick james comments on prince beating charlie murphy in basketball, and I kept picturing Prince saying "You want some grapes?") well after 12 months its over -
damn Kane didnt pull a shane-o-mac and hook up someones nuts to a car battery? that sucks

sweet thanx for the news bob.

I think Phils anger with and insistence on killing vito himself had to do more with the fact that He was unable to do the same to Tony B last season, either that was sad to watch. Tony needs to get rid of Phil soon. man thats a great character that you love to hate huh? Sad to see the end. hyped for the season ender though, as this whole seaosn seemed to be a slow burn towards the final war next season

Another example, when espn was rehashing the brawl at the cubs-sox game, someone mentioned "you know AJ Pierzynskiy hes a wwe guy, he probably said hey you got to fake the punch (or something like that) so not only did they get the wrong name of promotion AJ appeared at they took another shot at the fake aspect. I remember the boom era, I was in my last 2 years of high shcool when it really exploded (98-00) I had a bunch of shirts and it was considered cool to wear them (though to be fair my schol had a bunch of longtime fans as well) Personally I dont give acrap what people think anymore. So the fads over. No big whoop, but the mainstream media will always view it as a joke. we have to accept that as for the huge redneck attendance at live events, perhaps, fans like us just dont go to the shows anymore. The "redneck" is more likely to fork over his cash to see any random wrestling show Its a hard question to tackle. I guess well always be uncool to those people, but why should we care what snobby a-holes thinks anyhow?

thats the best defense of a "bad" move I ever heard u are correct TONGAN death grip was fine, but (now Umagas jabbing spike is the next gen of it) yokos vulcan nerve pinch of doom was okay considering it wa syoko leaning down his 600 pound weight on the victim my fav weak move? I'd say the Thesz Press, I mean come on its basically the "penis to the face " (begter name for it as per Mick Foleys book)

The Worst Wrestling Show of All-Time
Jericholic82 replied to UseTheSledgehammerUh's topic in General Wrestling
It was pretty cool, actually just today I was watching my old home movies and saw when I went there. They had a bunch of wrestlers autographed attirres framed on the wall (including a sweet Ric Flair Red Nature Boy Robe-which if you read his book, know was never returned to him after the grill closed) and a merchandise shop (I got a official grill tshirt which I still have). They had big screens and tvs that showed wcw videos and nitro and thunder/ppvs when they were on. The food wasnt too bad either if I recall. the ppv party was pretty cool and a lot of fans were there Though I noticed it was mostly younger kids who werent allowed to watch WWF at the time. (though I did walk into the place wearing my wwf attitude cap and dx shirt) They had their own nitro girls for the party and smoke machines went off. the middle of the dining room was roped off with ring ropes and turnbuckles too. The most memorable part was before the rednecks vs soldiers match, when the whole crowd was singing along to "Rap Is Crap" damn wish I could screen cap that video for ya anyhow agreed on rock bottom whih I own on vhs, sucks big time. The crowd was pretty interesting in canada and owen hart got the biggest face reaction of the night outside of austin. The Goldust-JJ match got ridixoulous heat due to the debra stripping stipulation. and HBK was hilarious as he started pulling out cash as debra stripped -

Reissue of D-X DVD (with extra matches)
Jericholic82 replied to pochorenella's topic in The WWE Folder
You had to see that coming. Hell they did it last you for trishs phantom kick out of a christy pin attempt. but how did they edit it? diff angle or somethin? -
interesting finale, I wa spretty sure ealry on that the whole thing was a dream but they did it well enough to make you think. House imitating his crew, while a hallucination, was damn funny Of course whne the guy came in to shoot and asked which one was House and he replied "The skinny brunnette" Man am I gonna miss this show in the summer (though they are going to rerun the whole season so that might be worth a look)

AMERICAN IDOl-SEASON 5: THE THREAD
Jericholic82 replied to Jericholic82's topic in Television & Film
Based on last nights show (which was pretty anti-climatic for the final and probably the worst of all 5 seasons) Id say Taylor deserves to win and I belive he will win considering I couldnt get through to vote fo rhim but Kats was far less busy. I agree on you guys' comments. Taylor is not the typical Idol and will likely be forgotten after the show ends. Kat seems to be really great at times and downright average other times. that single for her was both a horribly cheesy song and she sung it badly. Taylor did a much better job with his, even though it wasnt neccesarily his style of song. Heres to waiting thru two hours of hype and crap (and the return of the scarecrow himself, Clay Aiken) Either way I dont mind too much. But since Taylor kinda resembles my cousins husband, Ill pick him -
Im surprised it didnt even do better though for the budget not too shabby I mean most every horror flick does ok at the box office cuz people like horor movies. Now if Paul Bearer dressed n drag and played the mother perhaps it would be far more entertaining curses self for giving wwe ideas

yea but I usually like foxs awful shows for some reason (I bet you the loop wont be back but I liked that show) Anyhow I havent always watched 70s show every week except for the last 2 seasons. kinda sad considering I was in 11th grade when it started and its been on 8 years and man does it make me feel old. (actually my old spanish teacher junior year kind of looked like fez so that was funny) great final episode i must say and agreat ender too. at least topher came back at the end. Randy does indeed suck and I too liked the 80s show damn fox for killing it and Undeclared in the same season
