The new logo being on there probably means that originalmatch didnt have a logo at the bottom. The WWF only started using logos at the bottom all the time in about 94(possibly before that) Hey they put that stupid WW (no E in it, so apparantly its just World Wrestling) logo on ECW and WCW matches all the time

well at least itll be something different than the uasual face wins teh rumble and wins the title at mania. I have a feeling that it will Batista who loses at Mania, only after turning heel (if it is a match vs Taker) I think Cena should be the one who turns at NYR. Vince screws HBK in favor of Cena, who drops the rap gimmick and becomes Vince's new "corporate champion". Then Orton wins the rumble so he faces Tista at Mania. Raw has now #! contender and Vince and Cena want to keep it that way. So they think they got away with it...until Edge steps up and claims his MITB shot (yes I am advocating a face turn for Edge, since his heel run has become even more boring than his last face run in 04) Edge was a pretty over face back in 02 and I think the fans can take to him again, especially with Cena turning (the marks will want revenge against Cena and the smarks will love the fresher Cena and Edge) Besides since he has waited so long for his MITB shot, might as well wait until Mania Then agian that probably sounds dumb.

Yea I remmeber heats music videos, I have one on tape that I like, it was a video of summerslam 2000 highlights then the raw and sd after that show, set to "Stupify" by Disturbed As for the tributes, Eddie's got to me the most (especially the second one) On the best of raw 03 they did a tribute to all who died that year set to "My Immortal", featuring Stu,Elizabeth,Hennig,Hawk,Crash, Blassie (ending with a clip of the old legends wwf attitude promo showing Blassie openign a door to clouds and smoke, as if he was crossign to the other side, very moving) Raw 10th anniversary special they did one to everyone who had died during the 10 years RAW was on the air, set to a redone version of HBKS tribute song "Tell me a lie" (this time sung by a man and soft piano accompaniment)(

I liked when he won the ic title in 97 and wore the tag title and ic title on his waist, while holding his 2 slammys in his hands.

actually at first everyone thought it was Rick Steiner (it made sense), then at the ppv Animal umasks and kicks sid(who had just had his leg broke) allowing steiner to pin him. then on nitro its revealed that Ric Falir set the whole thing up (well duh hes the one who placed the mystery man in the match) and had turned heel, forming the "Magnificent 7" Animal did little of note, winnign a few matches and acting mostly as a Bodyguard so I guess it was forgettable, the only noteworty thing was that it introduced a new heel faction

I think wcw died simply because the wwf got more popular and all the new (and some of the old) fans were conditioned to hate wcw and think it sucked.but as to compare wwe 2005 to wcw 2000? Id say wcw 2000 was better cuz I was personally entertained more that year. sure it was lot of crap, but funny crap, and funny crap is better than unfunny crap.

ah man that was a funny moment too. i can care less about sponsors as they have been doing that for awhile anyhow. oh well I would still like to get my hands on an original x-7 disc, to have no blurring issues but whatever. on wm 20 at the start of victoria-molly they edited out the on screen ad for tix still aviable for raw tom night and the king and jr discussing that. they just are silent for a minute and teh ad doesnt appear on screen wm 21 3 disc set this year edited the messed up "two count" during trish-christy (christy pinned trish and she was supposed to kick out at 2, but didnt, but the ref stopped counting anyhow), on the dvd, they cut to a reverse angle and make it looked like she kicked out at 2, it's really noticeable and annoying.I have the backlash 2000 video but dont know if they edited Eddys match, as I never saw it live on ppv in my wm legacy set theres a few edits, like in wm6 they eidted out demolitions interview after their match, and on wm 7, they dont show either demos or kitao/tenryus prematch promos with trebek or whoever it was.

The Yankees signed Octavio Dotel. Interesting gamble to make on a guy coming off Tommy John Surgery. but maybe itll pay off like Leiber in 04. also they apprantly are going to resign Miguel Cairo to back up the infield I got all this at the Yankees site

no they were still on ppv only every wednesday, the 1 cent show was on in sept 03

if we got a face raw gm, then both shows would have face gms. well its better then evil heel boss, a cliche which got old at least 5 years ago. how about getting rid of the gms? they are pointless and add nothign to the show except a few laughs

Havent got those calls since I was just out of high school about 5 years ago. anyhow, the year has been pretty blah for me. My grandmother had visited us for the holidays from nov-jan, then went homeand had three heart attacks within a week . my other grandma just had a bad stroke and is not doing well Having to move back to NY soon (well the process actually, its rough to seel your stuff and try to pack your fav things) as for me, nothing of note, still unemployed, still don't have a car, still single, still boring But I can't complain as for sports/Tv/enterainment Yanks had a rough season, then blew it in the first round Giants had a surprisingly good season, despite their many flaws WWE was kinda lame, We lost Candido and Eddy Well at least Family Guy came back and American Dad premiered House Still rules and Bones is almost as good to me The IWC still complains too much Just another year

I usually liek to finish games, but I still havent beat SA yet (and Im on the last mission and have failed it three times, but havent played in a month) or the simpsons hit and run (i have beat like one mission in a year). I have gotten distracted by other games coming out and just plain forgetting to play, as well as dvds. I really need to beat SA now, since I did finish 3 and VC (well at least the storyline)

yea in my lastest season, I chose the iron man match to pick my rumble number. OJ kept hitting me with a chair and I got lots of easy falls.

Finished my SD season with Angle with the ECW storyline up till Mania. so I unlocked Rock and Hollywood Hogan (with terrible nWo rip off music) getting a little bored again, if Only I could beat that stupid spanking challenge and casket door reversal to get to the next set of challenges

True, but ESPN and the like had to treat it as a relatively serious event for it to last and reach the average sports fan. I remember the 2nd week, a game with the LA team winning in the closing seconds, maybe overtime on a long pass. The ESPN co-anchor said something to the effect of wow, the crowd's excited, the players are excited, maybe this league has some potential...I could just hear the other anchor getting an earful through his earpiece, because he came back with some smart remark how the receiver catching the ball didn't last in the NFL. It wasn't the NFL and never pretended to be. Their hyprocrisy was proven when the Arena league and World league began getting national airings regularly, and were promoted by networks including ESPN as "a fun alternatives to the NFL during its offseason" when the XFL was called garbage. Most of the bad play took place in the first two weeks. No random 50 NFL players could be thrown together and be polished, and when the XFL couldn't have polished teams-including some players that had been out of the game-in just a couple of weeks they were blasted for being second-rate. The other problem was that the mainstream media also seemed to treat it as a TV program rather than a sports telecast. Case in point TV Guide put it on its Top 50 Worst TV Shows of All Time list. Please, there are a slew of sports related programing that can be put over XFL's televisied products. WCW Thunder comes to mind, NBC had an alternative to Wide World Of Sports called "Games People Play" that looked like the America's Funniest Home Video equvilant to Wide World Of Sports. MLB had a disaster of a project called "The Baseball Network" that can rank up there as a major sports programing blunder Steve perhaps cuz it was vinces league they considered it sports-entertainment?

He could be better remembered for ending Kurt Angle's undefeated streak. Rarely mentioned, unfortunately. What did Chris Daniels do in ECW? Lita, also was in ECW for a while in '00. They rarely mention Tazz ending angles treak, cuz the socalled streak only lasted about two and a half months as he debuted at survivor series in nov then lost to tazz at rumble in jan, plus he lost a tag match with balckman in december lol but that doesnt count I suppose Hey..Steve Blackman fits here ok ,he debuted by running in as a fan in the crowd to help Vader against the Hart Foundation. spent most of his time as a mid-carder with no personality, would be totally forgotten except for his heel turn which led to some bouts with Shamrock and his "Head Cheese" Team with Al Snow.

I swore I was the only person who remembered this man. He came in right after I started watching and I remember thinking that he was gonna be somebody important...then he vanished after about a month. yea me too

Even as a die hard Yankees fan I might have to agree abit there. the 01 ws was a strange one and exciting at the same time. The dbacks dominated the series, yet the yanks had some miracles and made a sereis out of it. Plus it came down to the bottom of the 9th of the 7th game, thats excitement. either team could ahve won it, but the dbacks took advantage of a rare off night for Mo (well back then he didnt have any off nights in the playoffs), and JUST won it it with a floater over 2nd base. of course writing this kinda makes me sad a bit, but time has been good to it for me and I can now revel in just the excitement of it. the subway sereis gets hated cuz it had little interest due to 2 NY teams, but it was one of the closest 5 game series I have seen. every game was a tight one, with Game 1 being an awesome game and Game 2 had the mets just fall short of a comeback in the 9th, the final game was a nail biter that didnt stop untill the final out (as Piazza launched a shot with a runner on and down by two, that at first looked liek it could get out, but settled in Bernies glove, and I was able to breathe again) since I was born in the 80s, I will stick to the times I remember (and I dont actaully remember baseball of the 80s cuz I was a kid and didnt really watch allt he post seasons, especially sicne the Yankees werent in any of them after I was born) but for the 80s, I guess I'll take the 86 Mets 90's- 1996 Yankees (personal fav as it wa steh first championship I witnessed and a very exciting series to boot) 00's- 01 D-Backs (they beat Mo in the 9th inning of game 7, what an ending, it's hard to compare with anyone else) 04 red sox and 05 white sox have very high honorable mention for me, with the white sox reminding me of the 99 yankees (same playoff record and all) 03 marlins are forgettable but still a story to note (though it seemed like the Yankees had nothing left after the ALCS, so it made for a plodding WS at best)

I won't argue that. Some one needs to do the Guy Smiley entrance and get lost in the curtain or copy Jericho from 98 wcw during the Goldberg "feud" and get lost backstage and wind up in the parking lot or other places (though that apparantly was a rip off of Spinal Tap from what I have read)
