I'm confused ... your post was saying how stupid people are for thinking this was a shoot. I then mock the idiots that thought it was real in one of my quotes, and you agree with what I said to make fun of them. Thus contradicting your original intent.

Hey, it's a noob. /making up for the missed opportunity.

Dangerous A, I agree with you that it was pretty unprofessional ... but I don't think he was doing anything different than what he'd done in Japan. He'd learned to wrestle much stiffer after his time in Japan, and just carried it over to the US. Plus, I always thought that the Steiners were worse ... they were every bit as bad when it came to stiffing people and they had no Japanese experience to use as an excuse.
-
It was pretty damn painful to watch the decision makers trot out jobbers all the time, knowing that Vader was going to stiff the piss out of them. The little money that the enhancement talent made was NOT worth it against Vader.

In my life, the Sox have always had an Ok fanbase, but that's mainly because lately they've been a consistently Ok team. They haven't really bottomed out in a long-ass time, so people were willing to still follow them. If they were to become a horrible team (over time, obviously, not overnight) I bet that there adoration would diminsh BIG TIME around here. And you said it best, Max: they had a hard time selling out Fenway. A very small park. I'd love to see the Sox have a few 60-win seasons in a row, just to see how quickly the fans find another team to fellate. Knowing our luck it'll happen the same time the B's get great, and all of a sudden the former-Fleet will be full of the assholes.

I got the impression that most of the less-smartmarks thought that it began as a work and then "Hardy mentioned ROH so teh agents got all mad. Johnny ACe legit punched him and it becmae a shooot then!!!1one". /not a verbatim quote, merely a paraphrase //doesn't watch the actual shows, just reads about them, so never got the chance to think it was a work or a shoot

I've said it before (and recently to) but the #s prove that Boston is a shitty sports city. People here are Boston-sports fans, not sports-in-general fans ... and the fact that local viewership increased by a third due to the increase in local participation is proof-positive. The fact that a lot of Boston sports fans are bandwagon jumpers is another declaration for another time.

I listened to a fair amount of it while at a Starbucks the other day ... and it wasn't that bad. Of course, I can't see me ever choosing to listen to it again, and if I had to pick up a version of Jagged Little Pill it'd be the original. But for background music while killing an hour, it wasn't too bad.

Not really Regal is Gold at being the straight man in a duo (i.e. Tajiri, Eugene) Regal is not that great working the stick by himself, but that wasn't my point, I was commenting on how writers think very little of actual wrestling. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You've not heard much of Regal on the mic have you? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> His promo when he trashed HHH for taking advantage of Eugene (the one that ended with Regal getting dumped on the ground while still strapped onto the gurney) is all the proof that Regal pwns on the mic.

I might be wrong - and I don't like rap that much, so really can't judge for myself with any real accuracy - but I thought that he was considered remotely talented? Certainly not comparale to PN News and his cartoonish raps.
-
I think he'd make a better Papa Shango v2 than a Boogeyman.
-
Awesome ... so help me if O'Quinn doesn't win, but I'm stoked that they both got nominated.

Cabbageboy, is it a coincidence that the three cities that you chose to reference as scary cities are all very black? Compton, East St Louis, and Detroit are all considered to be very black urban cities ... is that the reason why they're scarier than other cities? /not a flame, or a challenge, but a legit question
-
I strongly disagree ... yeah, it's not Compton or ESL, but Boston's not exactly the friendliest place on earth: http://www.bostonbeatdown.com/ I'll agree that if you're looking for "gangsta" cred, yeah, Boston's not the baddest place to be from. But Boston's got a lot more than bluebloods.

Weird Thoughts You Had Reading WWE News and Notes

HTQ, I agree with your reasoning ... but don't see how someone as HHH would ever agree to do so. Even if someone he knew and trusted sat him down and went over your points I think he's too self-absorbed to comprehend them. In my opinion, in his mind he's doing the best thing for the sport by doing what he's doing. I really don't think that he does what he does because he's malicious or a prick or is just out for himself. I really do think that he believes the crap he spits out each week as being the truth. What we need is for him to knock Stephanie up, and hopefully take more time to be with her and their spawn. -

HTQ, Do you really think someone would give up a year+ of their career? -
Boon I agree ... so many Boston sports 'fans' only like a team when they're playing well. The Fleet Center will be empty for most of the year and then as soon as the B's play well and get a good playoff seed the place gets packed with "die hard fans" ... who then proceed to fuck up the fun for those of us that have been going all year. AoO: Yes, the Sens are a fun team to watch, they have a lot of talented but historically they've been a bit weak and thus get pushed around in the playoffs. I forget where you're at geographically, but are there any minor league teams nearby? The games are dirt cheap (best seats are normally $15 or so) and there's pretty much a few fights every game.

I couldn't agree more. And I can't believe how many people have allowed baseball to replace hockey as their favorite sport. Comparing the two are comparing apples & oranges. One is fast paced and exciting, the other is baseball.
-
I don't think MNM are amazing or worldbeaters or anything ... but I can definitely see Nitro getting a good singles push a few years down the road from now.
-
Well, maybe I'll finally get to change my signature ... And this really could be an exciting time to be a hockey fan. So many unsigned FAs, so many teams over the cap, so many teams way UNDER the cap, the draft, Crosby ... just too much to look forward to.
-
How about an Animal heel turn, and a subsequent feud with Heidenreich? (or vice versa) ... the wrestling would be piss poor but it'd be better than seeing those two as tag champs, especially at the expense of MNM.

Great minds think alike, Ripper.

Ripper, I thought it was well known that I'm a proponent of animal sex ... I don't dig when the animals get penetrated (I'm not a freak*) but I don't find bestiality that disgusting at all. *yes, I'm being facetious when I say that I'm not a freak

I thought that your "fun with a kitty" was going to tie into this thread ... http://forums.thesmartmarks.com/index.php?showtopic=71759

a) as has been well documented, I agree with Milky ... bestiality is normally harmless. And should be viewed with less disdain by the masses, but maybe that's just me. b) Holland makes perfect sense because a fair amount of animal sex films are produced there ... but the fact that the story describes the woman as wearing 'a jumper' leads me to believe that this happened in the UK. c) technically, the whole story leads me to believe that this isn't true at all. Maybe the cat wanted to steal her vital organs and then put AIDS infected needles into the phone's receiver, but just got lazy and clawed her snatch instead.
