I'm sorry, but this warrants some discussion

Thanks, jba ... that quote made my day just a little brighter. -

Sadly, the only way to really go anywhere with this would be to have Hassan beat the tar out of Austin, leaving him a bloody mess. But we all just KNOW that Austin would refuse and walk out before allowing that to happen. -
Damn, I hate double-posts. Hmmm, I should fill this with something: the cute girl that I work with is wearing turquoise panties, and is doing a poor job of keeping them hidden.

I remember that happening, and immediately presumed that it was all a lie, that he was drunk or coked up or something and took a digger, hurting his ribs. And since he can't just say "I was fucked up and fell over" an excuse was devised. Just a guess, though.

To recap: Reggie Jackson wasn't well liked. Someone (unsure who, this person hasn't been IDed at all) saw him doing something, and thought that it jinxed the Angels. Other stuff happened.

Disappointing ... I was really hoping for something much more offensive than that. Still good, Rant, but not great.

I think it's from the sequel, but my favorite part is when they show him painting in the hospital, and a nekkid lady gets up and walks away (giving every indication that he's painting her) and it's really just the flowers next to her that he was painting. /not necessarily my absolute favorite part, but one of them

Their quotes should have continued on with something like, or something comparable. This is, obviously, the first step towards the money-raking reunion tour.

Is VKM really being nice, or is he just making it so he can use the Paul Bearer character/likeness legally? It sounds like he signed a deal with Pringle which would pay for the right to use his likeness but not necessarily use him as a character at all.

I am not racist. I love Dave Chappelle.

Thanks, Lushus. That show should be good, but they never have anyone that I even think I know, let alone have no idea about ... but if they picked someone worth watching, I'd tune in ... thus: "You think you know IDRM, but you have no idea" -
poontang or it's cousin, poonanie

Judd Nelson: Other than Breakfast Club, is probably best known for that TV show with Brooke Shields. And for real-life drug problems. Emilio Estevez: You nailed it with the Mighty Ducks and Young Guns. And for being the brother of Charlie Sheen.

I've been meaning to pick up some Gravediggaz, but every time I see it at Newbury Comics it's uber-expensive. I figure I'll wait to find it used, or just wait until I next sell CDs and buy it with the profits. Speaking of the Wu ... remember that wicked old Rza track, from long before he was the Rza? I want to say it's called "We Love You, Rakeem" or something like that? I remember seeing a clip for it on TV and have had the song stuck in my head ever since. Funny stuff.

Tom Cruise is probably there to hype War of the Worlds more than anything else, and then they figured that they could give him an award because he was there. And, yeah, Ringwald did NOT age well ... Sheedy did, though. Hmm, she looked fine. And was the "they're in Africa with Dave Chappelle" meant to be a diss on them for no-showing? Is there a legit issue going on?

Other than Swank not winning, and Leo D winning but not being there, it's normally pretty easy to figure out who's winning by who's in attendance and who they showed on the red carpet. Like, as soon as you see Dustin Hoffman, it's pretty obvious that he's going to win. Also, to agree with KingPK, Lacey Chabert was a-freaking-mazing looking in that dress.

Yesterday marked the final game of last year's Stanley Cup, so today marks one full year without NHL hockey. Let's celebrate by sharing stories of when we were most pissed/sad/depressed/whatever about there not being a season. Mine was just about a month ago. I've been watching old games on tape on nights when there's nothing else to watch on TV. For the most part I have pretty good games on tape, so it's been a good way to kill 3 hours. But then one Saturday night when I was too sick to go out, I popped in a random game to watch: it ended up being Philly vs. Toronto, from about 3/4 years ago. And the game sucked, Philly won 6-1, and even with the horribly lopsided score there weren't any fisticuffs or action. So I watched my least favorite team win a game with ease and didn't even get to enjoy the slaughter-fight. Fuck Bettman. Fuck Goodenow.

What part of this rib is she mad at? The drinking contest? The gay porn? The lying? I really can't figure out what got her panties all twisted, compared to some of the bigger issues that have come & gone.

Wrong ... Kate's eyebrows are always perfect because Kate is always perfect. She's dreamy

What's that MTV show, with the slogan "You think you know me, but you have no idea"? That's what popped in my mind when I read this. MTV should do a show about IDRM. -
I think a title match would depend on what they're planning on doing in the future w/ECW. If it's really a one-and-done, I'd rather them have Dreamer win it.

The Good Best Episode: Pilot, pt 1 ... got me hooked on the show w/in the first 5 minutes Best Character:Locke Best Actor: O'Quinn Best Scene: hello, light in the hatch Best Flashback: hello, Locke in the wheelchair Best Relationship/Friendship: Locke and the island Best Surprise/Twist/"OH SNAP!" award: tie: light in the hatch or Locke in the wheelchair Best Character Development/Most Improved: Sun Hottest Chick: Kate (I likes me some Lilly) Studliest Dude: Sayid ... he pulled Shannon, the only guy on the island to get some without extortion King of the Island (toughest motherfucker award): Locke (damn, I think I have a schoolboy crush on fucking Locke. I couldn't have picked him much more than I did) The Bad Worst Episode: pass, I really can't think of one that was 'worst'; if pressed to pick, I'd say Exodus pt 2 just because so many other people hated it. Worst Character: Walt Worst Actor: MD Kelley Worst Scene: Shannon letting Vincent run into the water after Walt like 2 seconds after he trusted her to watch the damn dog. Worst Flashback: the build-up to Jack's wedding Worst Relationship/Friendship: Walt and Vincent ... how many times can he throw that fucking ball before it gets tiresome for him OR the dog?!? Worst mystery/"SHOW WHAT'S IN THE GODDAMNED HATCH!!!" award: Walt's powers: so much to offer, utilized so poorly ... for now Worst Character Development/Biggest Decline: Charlie. I liked him better as a junky Most Useless character: Walt (damn, I hate Walt about as much as I like Locke)

I'd forgotten about the beef between the Dudleys and New Jack ... shit, that'd have been better than the actual PPV.

Don't forget "Only Built 4 Cuban Linx". And 50 Cent dissed Onyx? He must be destroyed! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I've got to admit that I know like next-to-nothing about rap, but did go through a semi-big Wu phase while in the middle of my dirty Phish-phan phase ... I ended up buying most of the early solo stuff, but kind of shelfed it all when I moved on. Just last week I found a tape that I'd put a bunch of the Gza tracks on as filler ... man, that was a good disc. I'd still put Tical as the best, and other than the really skippable tracks on Dirty's first, that'd be second. If I can find the actual disc for Liquid Swords - and like the rest as much as I do the little that I listened to recently - I might have to bump ODB down a notch. I haven't heard Rae's or Ghostface's in YEARS, so really don't remember how much I liked or disliked them. Sorry to jack the thread with my random $0.02

Oh yeah, CG, no doubt ... my "sources" are Lyndon Byers and P.J. Stock, the former is part of a morning show here in Boston and the latter is a friend of the show. They were talking about Neely's induction into the HHOF and it segued to the lockout. From what they saying, a lot of insiders are saying it's likely to be over. But like you said, until I hear it's officially over, I'm going to be pretty pessimistic and skeptical.
