I like you. I like you too, Lushus. For all the shit posters that drag TSM down, to accuse one of the good ones of being Choken is a farce. Having said that, though, Lushus, you'd be that much cooler if you kept on talking about yourself in the 3rd person (like in the "Black Lushus is Black Lushus, has always been" sentence) ... nl5xsk1 digs it when people talk about themselves in the 3rd person.

Favorite game to play with friends?

Czech, a good game of football is a lot of fun. I'm not like Dama, I don't need for it to be tackle (we tend to play loose enough that there's more than enough contact) and as long as you have legit flags (rather than just two-hand touch) it can be a great way to sweat off the booze on a Sunday morning. We used to play relatively large games, with anywhere from 10-14 people showing up each week. It's basically just sandlot ball where the QB tells each person a route and then run the play, with 4 downs to cross midfield and 4 downs from midfield to the endzone.

    The Sliver Fox Club

I've been the dirty-thirty since last November ... other than it sounding awkward when hitting on young-20-somethings at the bar, it's not bad. The fact that I keep my head shaved and have a young face help, though ... I just tell them that I'm still in my 20s.

    Survivor : Palau

Tom & Ian should stick together - and carry Katie - until the final immunity challenge, and then whoever wins should take Katie as the other in the final 2. Not many people would choose her to get the money over either Tom or Ian, so she would be the safe choice. I'd vote out Jenn next, since Caryn won't want to turn against Tom (so she'd be safer to keep around). Then vote out Caryn and have it be the three that I mentioned as the final 3: Tom, Ian & Katie.

Kellen Winslow Jr's career potentially over

I'm torn between my hatred of that fucking soldier (which makes me chuckle that he got hurt being a dumbass) and my wanting Romeo to do well as the Browns coach (and having a dynamic TE would certainly help him do well). Unfortunately for Crennell, my dislike of Winslow II takes priority ...

    How does Nash as MVP

I think that I'd be more stoked if a Bruin (regardless of his country of origin) won the Hart than I would be an American that played for another team ... but truthfully, I don't think it really works to compare American fandom to Canadian fandom, the mindsets of the two countries are just too different. It seems that Canadians have more national pride when it comes to non-International sporting events (basically, mean other than the Olympics or int'l competitions) ... like in the Stanley Cup last year, it seemed that it was all of Canada vs. Tampa Bay, where-as a lot of American hockey fans were rooting for the Flames rather than just root "American". So, having said that, I don't think many Americans care that it went to a "foreigner" rather than to an American-born player, but I did think that you all North of the Border would be stoked about it.

Favorite game to play with friends?

If you'd asked this a couple of years ago, it would have been none ... but for some reason my friends and I got on this huge jock-o kick a few years ago. So, now it's: basketball on Wednesday nights (indoor in the fall & winter, outdoor in spring & summer); flag football on Sunday mornings; softball (co-ed slowpitch); whiffleball when we're drunk at BBQs; and starting this summer we're starting an Ultimate Frisbee 'league' with a bunch of the college kids/young barflies that we see at the bars all the time.

    Question about Simpsons

Agreed. Having said that, I'd get season 5, then 4, then 3 ... but I'm guessing most people would choose 4 before 5. I'd choose 5 because I'm a huge mark for Homer Goes to College; Last Temptation of Homer; Homer the Vigilante; Homer Loves Flanders; and the gambling episode. Season 5 might be my favorite season of the entire series.

Slayer, admit it ... ... you just wanted to type "Tinglehoff" in a post. Right?

The 2005 MTV Movie Award Nominees

When I'm visiting universities, it's to hit on college aged girls. If I get the chance to talk about movies, I do ... but for the most part it's just to be a leacherous old man. Sadly, one of the two jag-offs that said the movie is hilarious is a late-30-something year old sales guy that used to work in my company ... certainly not MTV's target audience for ND.

    LOST

I see what you're saying, RRR. I probably could have worded it better. When I watched the show, I didn't find it uneventful. A major character attempted to shoot & kill another major character ... that's pretty eventful. Add in the whole interplay between Locke & Sayid, and again, that was pretty eventful. Not necessarily something that would shake the very foundation of the show, but not like it was a boring episode. Just my $0.02, though.

    Sports Misconceptions

Wait ... I'm confused by your post. Are you saying that you feel that Brodeur is the cause of their success and that this belief is actually a misconception? Personally, I think that Brodeur is a great goalie who's life was made much, much easier by having a team play such tight and boring D in front of him. It's easy to only allow 1 or 2 goals when you only face 13 a game.

    Artie Lange

Is the controversy because Stern is pissed that the one consistently funny person on the show is going to be gone for X amount of time? It'd be like a sports team letting the one good player take time off ... you just know the team will suffer without the one really skilled guy.

The 2005 MTV Movie Award Nominees

Other than nameless/faceless strangers on the internet, the only two people that I've ever met that liked Napoleon Dynomite are - literally - the two most obnoxious, lame people I know. Everyone else that I know that have seen that movie mention it as being one of the worst movies that they've seen. So I predict it'll do well at the MTV awards.

Worked in 4 Feds...worked in only one fed

He worked in the AWA for a while. Had a singles match with Bruiser Brody there. And he got brutalized by Stan Hansen in an angle as well ... used his real name and the nickname "the Baby Bull", if my memory serves.

    What records

Like Barron said, I think a lot of Gretzky's records are untouchable: Goals in a Season Assists in a Season Points in a Season Total Points Total Assists /just off the top of my head, I'm sure there are others

    LOST

While not a great episode, it was a very, very good one ... I can't believe how many people are down on it. Having said that, though, next week looks awesome, and I really can't wait for the finale. Lastly, if I was Locke, I'd be super-pissed that Jack did NOTHING after I was shot ... just walking away is pretty fucked up, and is a violation of that oath that doctors take (Hippocratic, or something, but I don't feel like going to google just to make sure I'm getting the word right)

    Family Guy for 5/8/05

I'm normally not a fan of Family Guy, but I found last night's episode to be pretty funny ... funnier than last week's, which seemingly places me in the minority on TSM. I didn't bother to watch AD ... 90 minutes of animation was more than enough for one sitting.
  19. I don't go that often, but if I'm uber-bored at work I'll read through various AC/DC, Dag Nasty and Stereolab message boards. None are worth checking out that often, though.

    Sports Misconceptions

Finishing with 100+ points, and then blowing a 3-1 series lead to hated, long-time rivals (and losing the final 2 at home) was pretty fucking disapointing.

    Free Anglesault

No, I'm pretty set with my self-esteem ... long bouts of depression & egomania have finally settled into a good grasp of reality. My view of my standing on TSM is the same as it is in real life: Some people like me, some dislike me, most don't care about me one way or another. And I'm with you, Slayer ... Lushus shouldn't take the Choken One accusation lightly. Lushus is one of the better/cooler posters here ... Choken was the antithesis of good/cool poster.

RF and Dana Dameson had sex

Lushus doesn't have two minutes to spare, apparently You took the easy way out ... I did a google search to try and find one picture that captured the 6 pack AND the lightswitch. Nothing came up. No wonder I'm among the least liked posters on TSM.

White supremacist J. B. Stoner dead at 81

You'd think that if your name was Stoner, you wouldn't use it in the title of your Jew-hating group ... it kind of brings up too much of a DeadHead 420 kind of vibe.

    Best match finishes ever

Does anyone have a gif or link for the Benjamin/Michaels finish that everyone's raving about? I didn't watch Raw and thus haven't seen ... but am wicked curious to check it out, since all I've heard is how sick it is.

Wait ... I thought it was just kkk the main person that thought I was among the least liked posters here, and Slayer had my back. Does Slayer hate me too? And re: the name change, do you mean legally or just on TSM?
