Morton appeared at that huge "Supercard" that had the Von Erich/Lawler bloodbath main event, but I don't think he was officially in the AWA. Martel wrestled in some of the mixed AWA/NWA cards in the mid-80's (the big one at Comiskey & a time-limit draw with Flair when they were both world champs both come to mind) but I don't think he was ever officially in the NWA. EDIT: swan pointed out that I fucked up and put AWA when I meant to put NWA in that last sentence ... that's what I get for posting while I'm in a meeting at work.

Truthfully, I doubt Lita could finage the fireball either ... I'm just a big mark of the fireball, and have been since the days of Gilbert & Lawler throwing them at each other all the time, so wanted to bring it back.

I see no reason to un-ban anyone that was banned ... if people miss him that much, talk to him via email or IM or whatnot.

A bit too soap opera for my liking ... plus, I don't see Kane as being a big cell phone kind of guy. I'd prefer a scenario where Edge has Lita in the ring, holding her against her will, threatening Kane. "Come out here or the bitch gets it!", and whatnot. Kane comes out. Edge pushes Lita to the side to confront Kane, and while she's kind of out of view, Lita lights up a fireball and throws it at Kane, signifying the heel turn. Predicatable but it'd work.

I really don't see what the problem with this is. He wants more money because he has been on television, which should lead to greater exposure, leading to more people showing up for the show. Makes sense to me. How many more people do you really think would go to a NEW card just because 'Romeo' was appearing? It's not like we're talking about a real draw, he's basically a curtain-jerker that's been on a few shows. He's hardly a "TV star".

Every night, something in hockey is illegal on the streets. Far worse was done last year as physical acts. But Moore is the only one who got seriosuly hurt. Thats a bad arguement. Rrrsh, you beat me to it. There are a ton of things that are illegal in the 'real world' that are just two or 5 minute penalties on the ice. To compare the two environments is pointless. Bertuzzi was suspended for too long as it is ... he suffered for the same reason that McSorley did: because of the end result. If Moore skates away with just a concussion or something, Bertuzzi gets a handful of games, tops. Same with Brashear/McSorley ... if Brashear takes the tap and turns and fights Marty, McSorley gets nothing but a 5 minute major and an asskicking (well, technically he probably would get a game misconduct, but certainly not a 20+ game suspension). Bertuzzi should be reinstated as soon as the new season is announced.

As much as I'm rooting for the Americans, I'm loving seeing Thornton light it up at the WHC ... hopefully his success at Davos & now here carries over if/when there's an NHL season.

Not a lot of people here dig The Streets ... and by "here" I mean both the States and TSM. I dig him, though. And a few pages ago I complained about being stuck going to Motorhead ... and the show was surprisingly good. The funniest part: Triple H announced them, and got pretty much NO reaction from the audience. And two different times Lemmy mentioned him, and again, he got no reaction. I kept thinking he was going to come out, but I think that due to the tepid response, he figured it made more sense to stay behind the scenes.

Agreed ... on the first part, at least. You can't blame Eazy for having shit lines, he wrote very little of his own stuff. Blame Cube. And I like a lot of Eazy's rhymes on on 187-Kill 'Um (or whatever that one was called, the one that's really nothing but a slam on Dre) whoever wrote for him then did a great job.

I see no issue with that ... I'm sure a lot of women become wrestlers/valets/whatever purely because they want to be more famous rather than for some real love of wrestling. Much the way a lot of guys become wrestlers because their football careers don't pan out (e.g. Luger, Goldberg) Are we certain that she brought the gimmick to her real life, rather than bring her real life views into her gimmick??

I'm among the bigger Simpsons apologists on TSM and even I have to admit that this season has been horrid. I used to plan my entire weekend around the Simpsons, now I only pay half attention while the episodes are on. Having said that, though, I still think the Simpsons are funnier than just about anything else on TV.

I disagree ... I think the intent of that scene was to give us, the viewers, the indication that Locke asked her to help BECAUSE it was her birthday. And to leave us wondering how he knew. It's too big of a coincidence that of all the castaways to ask him to help make the cradle, and of all the days to choose to make it, he just happened to choose her birthday?!?

Between the two horrible Simpsons episodes, the over-rated FG episode, and the soon-to-be-canceled AD, last night was a painful two hours of TV to watch. I kept myself watching, thinking: a) I've seen these ads for weeks now, they HAVE to have something good b) no way these shows can stay this 'blah' for the entire 2 hours. What a waste of a Sunday night.

I did a report on kiddy porn when I was in college. It's insane when you read about how these fuckers get to kids, and how long some of them are able to control the kids. I don't remember many of the details (thankfully) but one whole series was a group of preschool aged kids in Europe that participated in harder and harder porno sets over the course of a few YEARS. Insane.

I normally avoid the spoilers, so when I caught the Eddie/Rey locker room scene, I was actually hoping that it was Rey that was going to go heel. As long as it's not in a lame "Filthy Animals" kind of way, I think a heel Rey would be pretty cool. And I also dug that they were having a full, major angle/scene based around three latino characters ... I don't know why I cared so much, I just thought that it was cool.

She looks like a tranny in the pic that Pariah posted ... of course, her rack looks great in that aisle shot that's been posted a couple of times. So, tranny or not, I'd probably hit it. /kidding ... wouldn't hit a tranny //would hit Dana Dameson though
