  1. Carlin's a great example of someone who'd have been better off dying 20, 25, maybe 30 years ago. He went from being very cutting-edge and funny to being someone who's just an opinionated asshole.

No, I don't think so. I just suck at the internet and caved in to their pressures. It'll never happen again; next time I'm not naming names, I'll name someone else besides you. The ball busting, I can't promise that I won't. And I can't promise that I'll try not to. But I can promise that I'll try to try not to.

    Great deal

I'm a long-time quitter, but I think smokes are like $5.00 or so up here in Taxachusetts, so it actually isn't a bad deal. But great? Nah. Now, if it was a pack of smokes, a Snickers bar, AND a handjob ... then it's a great deal.

    AJ heel turn

They could have someone come out for a few weeks and announce that they're going to do something that's "going to change the face of wrestling" and that "there's nothing Vince McMahon can do about it" and THEN have him turn heel. Yeah, that's the ticket.

    Great feuds while they lasted

I think it was more than just Adonis that teamed with Savage in that feud ... didn't that whole string of matches originate because Piper called Bruno a "wop" in a Pit at MSG?

    Top 3 Scariest Movies?

I'd go with ... TCM (original, obviously ... although the second one made me laugh so hard that I was scared that I was going to piss myself ... does that count?) Exorcist (has lost a lot of the scariness due to how many times I've seen it. Plus, the book is much creepier) Deliverance (not technically a horror movie, but still scary as all fuck) And for everyone that says The Grudge, just go see Ju-On instead. So much better & so much creepier.

was the appropriate answer. The only appropriate answers are the ones I make And you sure have been doing a fair bit of not-naming and not-ball busting lately Some of the older kids dared me to. I didn't want to, but I felt I needed to to impress them.

Not to bust balls, but was the appropriate answer. Your stock plummets further.

    The Inferno II

Considering she's barely a GILF now, I can't see how adding a kid - and the pounds that normally come with it - will make her any hotter. Most inaccurate. Shirt. Ever.

TNA Apparently In Talks With The Rock

Agreed. But I think Rock would be pretty willing to 'lower' himself back to wrestling if TNA threw a bunch of money at him for a limited number of dates. It won't be long until his wrestling-ties dry out, and then he's just another dime a dozen action star. Then it just becomes a matter of who's willing to throw the scratch his way.

    The Lurker Call-out Thread

If we're not going to call them out by clanking bottles on our fingers and chanting ... 'come out to playyyy-ayyyyy!' ... then I want nothing to do with it.

Wait ... is Slayer offing himself because he failed us as a poster, or is he offing himself because of his new-found standing as an important poster? Inquiring minds want to know.

    NHL Off-Season Thread...

Gecko, I've hated Draper since the whole war with Lemieux. Yes, I admit that that Lemieux's check into the boards was wrong, but seemed lke it became McCarty's war with the shithead Claude, not Draper's. It should have been Draper that dropped the gloves with Lemieux all those times, not McCarty. It almost seemed that Draper had McCarty go fight his battle for him. And I thought that Draper was strong enough and tough enough to fight his own battles against someone like Lemieux. And I'm an Avalanche hater, too, so if anything I should be siding with Detroit in that whole debacle ... I just couldn't believe how weak Draper came across, letting McCarty defend him.

TNA Apparently In Talks With The Rock

While I don't think that the Rock would really sign with TNA, it does have a better chance of happening than Spielberg writing their shows (and, yes, I know you were being facetious). If TNA offered Rock a ton of money to appear a handful of times a year, why wouldn't he? He loves the limelight and he seems to at least like wrestling. Do I think it's likely? No. But is it more likely than someone that has no past affiliation with wrestling getting involved? Yes.

    Ozzfest Tour Dates

Laz, I have had issues with FSU for years and years ... I was at a Slapshot show back in the early 90s and watched them beat the piss out of a guy in like an 8-on-1 beatdown. It wasn't even funny how bad they were slaughtering the guy, to the point that even the security weren't willing to jump in, and instead just let the cops take care of it. And I've heard that they're worse now than they've ever been. There were stories of them jumping someone at the shirt stand at the Sheer Terror show in NYC just because of some petty beef (looking at a girl wrong, or some shit). I definitely think that you made the right choice by not picking a brawl with them. And if anyone wants to see a bad message board, enjoy this: http://www.bostonbeatdown.com/forum/viewfo...a9ef5b56916b544 Makes TSM look like a MENSA convention

Hey, man, heavy is the head that wears the crown. You're a victim of your own success. Some people are expected to bring their best, and raise the bar, and all sorts of other cliches. You're one of these people, Slayer. And this thread wasn't your best work.

    The Inferno II

Well, I do have to admit the idea of ear fucking does sound good. And, I'd most certainly put it in her mouth ... if nothing else, to shut her up a bit. But the little that I watched the Real World: SD season she just seemed so damn annoying when she was drunk. She was like the people who I avoid like the plague at the bars.

Finally, Ripper was the voice of fucking reason ... this thread started off so strongly and then just fell to all shit. Even people who I normally count on for bringing good content and salvaging threads let me down. (Not naming name, but Slayer, I'm looking at you.) And is Micah L. Glossinger the best gimmick poster in a long while, or he just naturally a kick-ass gimmick? Oh, and by the way, congrats mole. Anyone that likes Phish, takes pictures of at least half-way attractive girls AND posts that much on TSM is Ok in my book.

Just how good could Marty Jannety have been

I actually thought that Gibson was the better worker; Morton just sold better, so would get the brunt of the ring time (while getting his ass whupped) and then Gibson would come in for the actual wrestling.

    The Inferno II

She'd have to be sober, though, Lushus ... drunk Robin is WAY too much of a drama queen, I'd probably lose my hard-on and not be able to seal the deal with those tig ol' bitties.

    NHL Off-Season Thread...

I'd most assuredly watch a game with replacement players. With Free Agency and all, it's not like most players stay with the same team for their entire careers anyways (and note that I said MOST, not all ... people like Yzerman and Sakic prove that some people will stay with one team for their career). I'm at the point that I'm a Bruins fan more than a fan of any of their players per-se. Like, I loved Guerin when he was a Bruin, and I still like him now that he's not, but the reason why I liked him more was because he was on my home town team. Put just about anyone in the spoked B and I'll root for them. /Eric Lindros, Kris Draper, and Donald Brashear are three examples of players who could wear the Black & Gold but I'd still hate ... but that's a different thread

NHL to experiment with blue ice...

Changing a sport to make it 'easier to follow' is bullcrap. Might as well change Memento to make it an easier movie to understand. If you're too dimwitted to follow the puck, then don't watch the damn sport. Those of us that CAN follow it will enjoy watching the sport the way people have for years and years.

    The Inferno II

It's because Veronica is part of the 'clique' and Tonya isn't, which means that Veronica can do no wrong. And I also find it funny that Robin would be one of the people calling Tonya out ... why should she have a holier-than-thou attitude? She's a fucking Coyote Ugly girl that got arrested AND lost her boyfriend because of her drinking problem. I'll take a slut over a loudmouth drunk just about any day of the week.

    101 Rules of Being Hardcore

Total Posts by swan after saying he was "dropping it" ... 3 (I'm not including the one about the Roots & De La Soul; those are about a different subject matter so shouldn't count against him "dropping it". I, for one, call bullshit on the 'it was all a big joke' claim.

    Ozzfest Tour Dates

You think so, Laz? I've never heard of Bury Your Dead, but am more than familiar with FSU. I still sometimes check out the beatdown boards, just for the shits and giggles.
