    Shows you've been to.

I can only remember going to 5 shows total, 3 WWF/WWE and 2 NWA/WCW. The only one I can find on Cawthon's site is: The other WWF/WWE shows were on in Manchester, NH, at the JFK Coliseum. The only people I remember from that show are SD Jones and Fabulous Moolah (defending her belt!). The other one was more recent, it was that horrible Smackdown taping in Boston where Austin shot Hall & Nash with the net-gun. The NWA/WCW shows were one at the Centrum, and the only people I remember for that show were Sting, Vader, and Bagwell (the girl that I was dating at the time LOVED Bagwell, and that's the reason we were there). The other one was an oldschool show at the Boston Garden, and there were a ton of stars there. The match I most remembr is the Road Warriors-Midnite X-press. (I got into a shouting match with Cornette & Big Bubba ... damn, I was such a mark back then)

    Itchy and Scratchy

Tarantino: Cerebus was right, it's from the Sherry Bobbins Episode. The I&S short was called The Reservoir Cats. Stone: It's from the Whacking Day Episode, and is an untitled short, I believe. EDIT: google is our friend: http://www.snpp.com/guides/is_list.html

    Lawyer Milloy and NFL Moneyball

In the 'real world' where people don't get million dollar contracts or signing bonuses I can understand going for the job that'll pay you the most money. When you're talking 5 digit salaries (e.g. less than 100k) then you're talking about having to plan on house-payments, car-payments, kids & college, and everyday living expenses. When you're talking multi-million dollar contracts, you know all the things that I listed are taken care of. Once you know that you have enough to live comfortably, you should take other things into consideration when picking a place to "work" (as in play) ... is the location near your family? is it warm? is it a winning organization? And regarding Ripper's assertions that they are really fucking up their health & life by playing in such a violent and dangerous sport: it's not like they'd be playing for peanuts compared to playing for millions. An even average player gets a signing bonus that's literally 5x my annual salary, and potentially get more than one signing bonus that's much larger than that. (So, I'd have to work for 5 years to earn what they get for signing their name.) Forgive me for not crying in my soup over them getting cut because they're hurt or not producing well enough. Even if they have to enter the regular job-market, they have a good sized nest egg to fall back on while they get a 'real' job.

    Anthrax Reunion?

I pretty much prefer Bush to Belladonna, too, but would have no issue with Belladonna being back ... having the "original" line-up back together would be pretty cool, though. What's Neil Turbin up to these days?

Your WWE Hall of Fame picks

I think that the WWE has already screwed up the HOF ... a HOF is supposed to be reserved the greatest, for the elite, for the best of the best. As soon as people start getting inducted for being a team-player or being a friend of the WWF for a long time, it dilutes the entire idea of a HOF. Too many iffy candidates are being considered or inducted, and it fucks up the entire purpose of a HOF. Just using the WM 1 main event as a reference, Hogan & Piper are HOF worthy; Orndorff, Snuka, Orton & Mr T are not.
  7. Not to nitpick, but if they're trying to create a "Batista is a monster~!" type of image for him, why would someone like JBL call him out and challenge him to come to Smackdown? Wouldn't he be stoked to be safe from Batista, and instead let HHH deal with this unstoppable force?

    Cory "LA Giant"Peterson

Hey, has anyone heard of Cory Peterson? I saw a link about him on another message-board, and evidently he has a few Nazi // RAC tattoos. The guy is giant (like 6'11" & 315) but isn't necessarily that good. Since a lot of you are more knowledgeable about MMA than me, I figured you all might know more about him than me. So, is the guy any good or is he just a former bonehead that was tough enough to join MMA? EDIT: found the link ... http://www.sherdog.com/fightfinder/fightfi...?fighterid=9526

    Hassan vs Slaughter

The best Nazi in wrestling connection is Baron Von Raschke still goose-stepping before applying his Iron Claw ... WHILE HE WAS A FACE! Because NOTHING gets the fans on their feet and cheering more than imitating a Nazi stomp.

    Most Disturbing Image

Well thats just mean. Yeah, that's basically it ... put a tube into the vagina, let rat enter said vagina via said tube, remove tube and sit and watch rat claw it's way out from the inside. Tasty.

What he said ... And, having said that, I think this board is dominated by: Red Sox fans, Yankees fans, Pats fans, and people that hate those three teams.

    Discuss your Super Bowl Memories...

Patriots related: I remember feeling like it was just a nightmare as the Bears debacle went on ... Eason playing like my grandmother would have (and she died a few months before) and Ditka being a dick by giving the TD to Perry instead of Payton. (even though I was/am a huge Pats fan, I've always like Payton) I remember watching the Pats lose to the Packers with my then-roommate from Wisconsin, and having the surreal feelings of elation everytime he was pissed and vice-versa. We also had a deal where the person who just had a great thing happen (TD, FG, turnover recovery) would pack a bonghit for the other person and then we'd do a shot. Needless to say, I don't remember much from after that game. I remember the un-real feeling of watching the Pats beat the Rams. The New England Fucking Patriots, Champions of the World?!? I remember leaving Montreal at the crack of dawn to get to my friend's house for last year's SB party, and being so sickly hungover that I told myself I wouldn't drink. I think the first Jack on the rocks was poured about noon. Non-Pats: Watching Tim Krumrie snap his leg at my mother's then-boyfriend's bar. Watching with glee as the dumbass Broncos fans got tear-gassed after winning the SB. Being at a party that some kid from San Diego threw when they played the 49er ... he paid for the keg and all the grub and whatnot, and was ready to celebrate his team's victory. He kicked us all out before the game even ended.

    Most Disturbing Image

Apparently I wasn't quite as disturbed because I am drawing a blank on what you are talking about. Rat? I remember the rat scene from the book but don't remember one from the movie. Of course, I was terrifically high when I saw that flick so I might have just been distracted by something shiny.
  16. I'll give you Hennig & Rotundo, but not any of the others ... what have the Rougeaus or Nastys done to really merit inclusion in a HOF? While I recognize that this is a fictitious HOF for a fake sport, it should really only include the great or - at worst - very good from the sport. I like a lot of Andy's suggestions ... the Funks, Hansen, Williams. I'd include Gordy, but only if you induct him as a "Fabulous Freebird" and throw PS Hayes in there at the same time.

    Hassan vs Slaughter

Am I the only one that doesn't get the "irony' in them not mentioning the Sgt Slaughter is a turncout angle from over a decade ago?

    What if?

I've always felt that the mis-handling of the UWF purchase was more laughable (but sad) than the mis-handling of the WCW/ECW "Invasion". If JCP had handled that merger better, they would have had a legit chance of competing with the WWF on a national stage. They already had a really good TV deal (thanks to WTBS) and would have had such an influx of talent. Instead, he jobbed out most of the new wrestlers.
  19. / channels Gorilla Monsoon ... "They're literally hanging from the rafters here" ... "The ring literally moved 5 feet with that Avalanche" ... other misuses of the word literally. Agreed.

    Hottest female wrestler

I couldn't agree more ... same with Trish, I just don't get the love for her. Yes, she's got a smoking body but she's so generic, so dime-a-dozen. What makes someone like Torrie or Trish hotter than any of the countless Playboy-types? (blonde, blue eyed, big fake tits, etc) Give me someone a little different, a little out of the norm, 7 days a week. And, re: the whole "why wear a bra if you have small tits" question ... how about the fact that it makes it harder for guys to see your nipples and whatnot? And, by that same reasoning, shouldn't guys with small dicks not bother wearing underwear at all?

    Tina Fey gets Sitcom Deal

I couldn't agree with barron anymore than I do right now. Not necessarily about SNL (I haven't watched the show in years) but about being unnecessarily attacked. Saying something has gotten stale is not wrestling lingo. Giving something star ratings - while it is pretty lame - is not wrestling lingo. And responding to someone's question is not a bad thing, even if it has been done before. Wait until someone uses real wrestling lingo before bashing them for doing so (e.g. "Did you hear that promo that Freddie Mitchell did with Michael Irvin?" when it's an interview, not a promo).

    Hottest female wrestler

Present day: Stacy wins, hands down. I definitely have a thing for skinny girls and those long legs of hers are sweet. Elsa Bangz - while not necessarily "pretty"- is wicked hot to me ... I definitely dig her. Victoria is up there as well. Recent past: Varsity Club-era Kimona was reason enough to watch that era of WCW, and the only reason to sit through a VC match. Lita, while in her skanky Miss Congeniality mode, was hot, too. All Time: Fallen Angel, when she first debuted and was all in Kevin Sullivan-led skanky slut mode ... un-fugging-believable. A satanist in lingerie? Tasty.

    The Aristocrats

Debating who's better between Stern & Mancow is like arguing which form of cancer is better ... while one might be better than another, it still sucks.

    Corey Dillon article

The only reason that Law wasn't cut lose before this year was that Belichick, Crennel, etc. didn't have a really good CB ready to slot into that role. When they let Milloy walk, it was because they knew that they had Wilson ready & able to convert to S and fill that role. When this year began, they evidently weren't extatic about having Poole & Samuel as their starting CBs with Gay coming off the bench. Lo and behold, they had no choice but put Samuel as a starter (and not just a starter but basically their #1 CB). This year has proven that the team could survive without Law ... if Samuel can learn to convert these passes defended to pick-offs (way too many dropped balls) then I'd have no issue with him starting and then either Gay or a newly signed FA on the other side.
  25. And that was just from early 86, 3 months before they went down the shitter No doubt, Frank ... I think a lot of their earlier stuff is too non-wwe for them to release ... I just can't see Vince & company giving Bockwinkle, Gagne (either of them), Crusher & Bruiser, etc, the free publicity. I purposely tried to only list future wwe'ers (except Brody, who's just too cool NOT to list). /just remembered 4 more that might get the nod on a AWA DVD: Zbyszko (they could reference his feud with Bruno and then show his AWA stuff); Lawler (he was the AWA champ for a stretch at the end); Nord the Barbarian (future Bezerker) and, of course, Eric Bischoff as a rodent-haired announcer. They could even reference that Baron Von Raschke was the Powers of Pain manager for like a month.
