Maybe if Cincy had developed an environment like the one that New England has right now he wouldn't have been such a disruptive member of the team.

You guys all ignored the worst thing about that article ... the return of Chris Kattan to national TV. Ugh.

I was beaten to it by a few posts, but the first person(s) that I thought of were the LOD/Road Warriors ... if nothing else because I can see Vince making a one-disc DVD for them and what better way to publicize the new DVD then by inducting them to the HOF. Presenter: Bubba Dudley And, regarding the Rick Martel induction, again I think it'd be DVD related. If/when Vince ever decides to do an "AWA's Greatest Hits" type-of-DVD, you'll see Martel gaining some more attention, if not an actual HOF induction. (and, when you think about it, an AWA DVD would be pretty swank ... Hansen, Freebirds, Road Warriors, Martel, Hall & Hansen, Midnight Rockers, hell, even Bruiser Brody)

It's so surreal to see wwe.com refer to the dungeon, especially when they refer to it by name (Hart) ... considering the whole screwjob and what happened to Owen, you'd think that the Hart name would be verboten in wwe-land. the parts that I bolded remind me of why I used to like wrestling ... it didn't have to be about a title shot or some stupid angle (shampoo commercial? cup of coffee getting spilled?) ... just two guys that think that they're the best trying to prove it.

The Lowell show is already sold out?!? I just heard about it for the first time last night ... damn, I was giving some thought to going, too.

Is there so little going on in Ohio that multiple articles have to be written about former players? Jeez, Dillon coming to NE is getting the "Roger Clemens as a Yankee" type of coverage that we had to deal with in Boston ... and maybe more of it. Get over it, the guy left Cincy and burned some bridges on his way out. Worry more about who the Bengals will draft in April or which FA's might help them. Worry less about Dillon's personality transformation.

What about the horses we rode in on?

Hmmm ... what's the point of watching gay porn if there's no weiner shots? And how much gay porn have you seen to know what it looks like?

re: the 6-sided ring ... yes, it looks different than the normal ring, but different isn't always a good thing. It always looks fake to me, like one of those Saturday Afternoon syndicated shows (RollerGames, Slamball, or that lame martial arts one that always included hanging, rolling cages and crazy shit like that). Wrestling has taken place in a 4 sided ring for a long ass time, why change that just to look different? re: Monty Brown ... I don't watch much TNA due to work and apathy, but the little that I've seen of Brown has left me VERY unimpressed. The guy's greener than astroturf. I shudder when people think that he's the guy that TNA should put the belt on and build around. Raven, Killings, Styles, Daniels are all better choices than Brown.

True Event: I'd always said John Holmes, but since Wonderland came out I can't use that as my choice ... I'd say maybe something about Escobar and the cocaine export industry or maybe a movie based around TSM and the kick-ass posters therein ... nah, let's stick with Escobar. Remakes: Night of the Comet Sequels: Donnie Darko

I'm 99% certain that tonight is a repeat, and next week (Feb 9) is the next new episode. Of course, that 1% has me scared enough that I'm taping ABC from 8-9 just to be sure that I don't miss a new episode.

I thought about including Dickerson in my list of top RBs, but I really don't think he's top 10 of all time ... 10-20, yes, but top 10, no.

First female coach in men's basketball fired...
nl5xsk1 replied to Open the Muggy Gate's topic in Sports
UTSU, good sarcasm ... very funny post. Oh, wait, you were serious? Ugh. Having said that, though, I'd pay good money to see the coach and owner have a cat-fight. Neither of them are knockouts, but both are definitely cute enough. -
New Pic of Jessica Simpson in "Dukes of Hazzard"
nl5xsk1 replied to strummer's topic in Television & Film
Yes, I'd bang her in a second ... but there are a lot of girls that aren't that attractive to me that I'd still bang in a second. I'm a guy, and thus getting laid is pretty high on my list. But would I stick around to see her in the morning? No. Would I call her again and want to spend time with her? No. Do I find her all that attractive? No. But would I bang her? Yes. -
Paragon gets a gold star for being the first to mention Jim Brown. He's so far ahead of everyone else it's not even funny. Sanders is my #2, pretty far behind JB but further ahead of #3 than he is behind #1 (if that makes sense) 3-5 is tough, because there's a laundry list of players that deserve consideration: Smith, Faulk, Thurman Thomas, Curtis Martin, OJ, Marcus Allen, etc. I'd probably go Emmitt, Faulk, and then OJ as my 3-5. /wonders where Bo Jackson would have fit if he stayed away from baseball and stayed healthy

I'm not going to say that you're whining, but it is tough to take when someone throws "What-if?" and "probably" scenarios into an argument, and tries to disguise them as points. Would the Eagles have beaten New England in the '01 Super Bowl? Potentially. But the fact that they couldn't even get their makes that argument moot. Same with the TB/Oakland SB or last year's ... it's easy to sit here and say, "oh, if they'd just gotten there they would have won". But the truth is that they DIDN'T get there, and thus that argument loses some of it's luster.

Because I am forced to listen to it everyday...
nl5xsk1 replied to The Amazing Rando's topic in Music
Pharcyde is awesome ... Fat Lip's solo stuff is really good, too. They're not wicked popular on TSM but both The Streets and Dizzee Razcal are listenable. And a lot of the "old-school" gangsta rap is actually pretty tame now, so either PE or NWA might be appropriate. -
I have no desire to see her box. Her tits, maybe, but not her box. /double-entendres make me laugh

Am I the only one that isn't 100% certain of how many girls they've been with? There were a few that I woke up with that I'm not sure what happened the night before ... circumstantial evidence seems to indicate that we got it on, but if I'm too blacked out to remember it could be just that, circumstantial evidence. Am I the only one that isn't sure of how many girls they've been with? And even if you have sex, does it count if you're blacked out?

Not that many people would have the balls to say it to him (me included) but how fucking queer is it to have your belly button tattooed? I don't even think "queer" is the right word, it's out-and-out effeminate. What does having long hair have to do with being a punk? I'd say he looks more like a nu-metal guy that couldn't make it big. If he had some sort of mohawk or spiked-thing going, then I could see the punk reference.

New Pic of Jessica Simpson in "Dukes of Hazzard"
nl5xsk1 replied to strummer's topic in Television & Film
Not that new, these have been around for a few weeks now, if not longer. And not that hot ... I like skinny chicks and she still does nothing for me. Jessica Simpson is teh overrated. -
I don't think ones that the player legally changed his name (World B Free) or uses a nickname (Tree Rollins) should count. I mean, Sleepy Floyd was listed as an honorable mention, and his real name is Eric Floyd ... that's not to exciting at all. It should really be limited to an athletes legit birthname. My vote goes to Mario Lemieux ... the first name is pretty 'meh' but I'm pretty sure Lemiuex means something like "the best" or something comparable in French. Any time one of the best that's ever played a sport has "The Best" for their last name, it's pretty fitting.

I'd exchange one or two lower-tier guys, one or two mid-carders, and one or two main-eventers. From RAW to Smackdown: Helms (drop the Hurricane and re-invent Sugar Shane Helms), Venis, Rhyno, Christian, HBK, and HHH. From Smackdown to RAW: Orlando Jordan, Kenzo, Haas, Mysterio, and JBL. I think it'd be kind of neat to switch the champions of each brand in a one-for-one swap. Yes, HHH's ego will never allow it, but it'd make for good TV and certainly shake up the rosters.

I'll take the old-school SFX over any of the new CGI stuff 7 days a week. Even the best of the new CGI effects look to fake to me. I'd rather have something that's less believable looking than something that tries to be more believable but fails in the process.

Or the fact that he's made the playoffs with four different teams and led three of those teams to the Super Bowl. There's not really anybody else that has that kind of resume in the NFL, you know? The only Parcells coaching stop that's actually impressed me is the one with the Giants. He came to the Pats the same year that they'd finished with the worst record and was getting the #1 pick in the draft. Make as many "Bledoe's teh suck" jokes as you want, but he was a definite improvement over anyone New England had been using the year before and put the Pats in a position to win just about any game by throwing the ball as much as needed (the Minny game rings a bell). Right place at the right time #1. He went to the Jets after they went 1-15 due to QB injury. I forget who was their starter the year before (Vinny Testaverde?) but whoever it was missed most of the year due to injury. Basically, getting him back at 100% would have immediately improved their record regardless of who was coaching. Right place at the right time #2. Then he went to the Cowboys, and admittedly made some improvements in year 1, but didn't do much this year. HOw much of the improvement was really him, and how much of it was right place at the right time #3?!? Parcells == overrated It was more an ownership/fans coordinated thing than Belichick and the players. Most of it was just the 5-thousand fans cheering highlights on a jumbotron with a quick player appearance on their way to the airport.
