I think it shows how much powerful (for lack of a better word) wrestling was back during the Radicals & DX vs. RocknSock & 2 Cool match. Can you believe a match with X-Pac, Rikishi, Christopher and Scotty could EVER have such heat or lasting power?!?

Other than the few actors who were already really well known, which actor/actress do you guys think is going to get the most out of this show? Personally, I think that Terry O'Quinn - who admittedly has been in a ton of things before but I still think was relatively unknown - will be huge because of this show. If he counts as too famous already, I'd probably say Evangeline Lily.

What do you expect? She's the biggest no talent on TV. She's forced down our throats on both SNL and the Rose Bowl. She deserves everythign she gets, and you deserve everything you get for having no taste. Isn't "forced down our throats" a bit much, Banky? I mean, I haven't seen the SNL debacle at all, and only caught about 10 seconds of the Bowl halftime show on the news a few days later ... it's not like either were hard to avoid.

Personally, Dopes to Infinity is one of my 'deserted island albums' (meaning if I could pick 5 albums to listen to for the rest of my life, but only those 5, it'd be one of them) and Spine of God isn't far off from making that list as well. Superjudge & Tab are both Ok, and anything newer than the original 4 is just touch-and-go for me.

Yes, at one point Smackdown was their #1 show ... and at the time, I'm sure UPN was stoked to have it. But that was then & this is now, and now they don't want to have a wrestling show on their network, and that's their right to choose. What should they do, decide that they don't want to be associated with wrestling anymore but feel obligated to keep it on as a favor or a way of saying thank you?

After years of complaining in SF, and then complaining about the original trade to Baltimore, I'm not about to let him off the hook after one year of good behavior in Philly. It's comparable to the way that Dillon didn't complain this year in New England but people still say is one losing season or a game that he doesn't get many carries away from pitching a fit. Even as a Pats fan I think a Corey Dillon blow-up in inevitable. Plus, he caught about 25% of the passes that McNabb threw this year ... if he complained about that, than what would be good enough?!? Disagree if you want, but if TO busts his ass to come back for the Super Bowl and doesn't get a reception, I think he'll complain LOUDLY about it.

All the "New England is going to be screwed because they can't plan on TO playing or not" talk cracks me up. How about this: they prepare as if he's going to play & be 100% and then the worst case scenario is that he doesn't play and they're over-prepared. Instead of having to deal with TO as the #1 receiver, Freddie as the #2, Pinkston as the 3, etc., they now have Freddie as the #1, Pinkston as the #2, etc ... Can you imagine TO's reaction if he does play and McNabb doesn't get him the ball enough?!? "I work my ass of to get back to play in the SB and they don't get me the ball. How is trying to distance themselves from the stigma of being a 'rasslin' network selfish?!? UPN does not owe Smackdown anything, let alone a thanks. They don't want wrestling, fine, it's their right to not renew the contract. Smackdown got good ratings for them, but didn't help them compete against shows like Survivor or "Must See TV" on NBC. It makes sense for UPN to try & find a show that will help them gain credibility, and wrestling probably isn't the show to be doing that with.

I think a lot of these "worst" hometowns are actually pretty swank ... ... are all pretty cool.

pinnacle, it's obvious that you and I obviously have very different tastes in entertainment, not to mention different definitions of the actual word 'entertainment'. At no point was my plan or hope to have you actually explain why you found them entertaining; my original question was a rhetorical question that probably should have been "how can anyone find those two idiots entertaining?" rather than a seemingly personal directive. Gosunkugi's right ... to have London in the actual Rumble would most likely result in him being cannon fodder for someone bigger, getting an actual push, or both. I can't see the WWE allowing him to throw anyone out.

It has such a similar name because it actually partly was WCCW ... I think the "I" part came from ICW (International Championship Wrestling) and when WCCW got run out of Texas they 'merged' with ICW. The only real WCCW wrestler that I remember, though, was Kevin Von Erich.

I saw a the aftermath of a car crash while driving home from the gym yesterday ... it didn't look like anyone as hurt, just a few banged up cars. I literally stared at the cars while driving by (hard not to watch) and pretty much made the conscious decision to spend the time looking at it ... does that make a car crash entertaining? No. Something has to be, I don't know, entertaining to be classified as entertainment to me. Hold up one second. How the fuck are you going to tell me what can and can't be entertaining to me? I bolded some words to reiterate whose definition of entertainment I was describing. (Let me know if it's still confusing to you.) Also, couldn't I ask: after you said: I'd already said that they don't entertain me, and yet you responded with "proof" that they are. So, I'll throw the question right back at you ... How the fuck are you going to tell me what can and can't be entertaining to me?
