Is it wrong that my friend said he'd sleep with it regardless? Is it weird that I'm not sure that he was kidding?

That reminded me of when John Randle pretended he was pissing on the QB like a dog does on a hydrant. John Randle > Randy Moss

you guys aren't answering the question posed in the by-line of the thread title ... he asks were we'd be, not just where Owen would be. I can only answer for myself: nl5 would still be at work, like he is now. Probably online, reading TSM instead of finishing his account profiles.

This 'spoiler' is based off of rumors that I've read online, so it's technically not a spoiler as it really would be defined ... Boone & Shannon are brother & sister, but only by marriage, and used to be a couple ... it's why there's so much tension/animosity & whatnot. My guess is that they were fucking before their parents (say, his mom & her dad, or vice versa) hooked up and thus their relationship had to end. We'll find out in 7 hours & 45 minutes ... well, it'll be tomorrow for me, I'll just be taping the show & watching it tomorrow night instead. But I digress ...

Czech, good work on your Teddy Long/Torrie Wilson/Shocker segment ... normally the jokey-segments that are written on TSM are about as funny as testicular cancer ... but yours was actually funny.

I still want to know what percentage of this board is made up of Patriots fans that were fans before their recent success. It seems that you see more and more Pats fans now that they're a dominant team. Fuck the bandwagon jumpers, if you didn't root for them during the Carroll era, you shouldn't be able to root for them now. (and I'd normally include the earlier crap-tacular eras, but too many people on TSM are too young to remember the Rod Rust-era, let alone the earlier horrific periods.)

Or the fact that she's disgusting.

The Pats - as a team - get respect. Their players - for the most part - do not. If this is me being a 'homer', so be it. But it's really the way that I feel. And, redbaron, the only two really lucky things that have gone the Pats way (that I can think of) are the "Tuck Rule" incident and the game a few years ago where Patton got knocked unconscious and fumbled the ball, but since part of him was out of bounds and another part of him was still touching the ball it was deemed that New England kept possession. I'm not saying that they don't get lucky, but I will say that they don't get more luck than any other team.

because she doesn't wrestle ... she fucks bitches up.

When I first read that, I got the impression you were saying that Americans would do it but Canadians would not ... I'm incorrect, right? Well Canadian soldiers are not the ones in question, are they? You really didn't answer my question, Banky. You've left it almost as ambiguous as it was before.

Didn't that 'career resurgence' include a stellar angle built around him getting shot with a stun-gun? I'd take an angle with Joy over that.

Kompressor (http://www.kompressormusic.com/) The guy's gotta rock ... Tower Records quivers at his mere presence. All kidding aside, like Rando said, I have a ton that I've burned or been given, but don't know many track names. And, I think it depends if you like drum-n-bass or ambient or any other certain genre of techno. EDIT: Damnit, I fucked up the image ... it just comes up as page cannot be displayed.

I guess I should have done my own, rather than just posing the question to you all ... NHL: Avalanche (because I lived there, hate their fans, and think that the Nordiques shouldn't have left), Rangers (because of their bandwagon fans), Flyers (because of Brashear, mainly, and Clarke; their beligerent fans don't help) and Devils (for the fucking trap). NFL: Packers (because the media's need to toss Favre's salad), Broncos (again, because I lived there and was forced to watch their games each Sunday) and Cowboys (only because of Bill Parcells is coaching them ... once he leaves, I'll stop hating them again). NBA: LA Kobe's ... I mean Lakers. MLB: Yankees (I sound like a broken record, but I hate a lot of their fans) and Nationals (fucking-a, why did the Expos have to leave MTL?)

Am I the only one that doesn't think this'll lead to a WM match between the two, but instead is just being used to spring something else into action? (sadly, that "Batista run in post" might not be a joke in a week)

al, my bad ... I really did take your comment too literally, that it was really the 4th year that was important to him. And, I don't expect a player to stay with a team out of loyalty, unless of course that team has proven loyal to the player in the past. (e.g. extending their contract while they're hurt, or sticking with them through troubling personal matters). But this thread isn't about loyalty, it's about winning championships, and to leave the defending World Series champion (and a team that's considered one of the few that has a chance to make the playoffs each-and-every year) to go to a perennial also-ran indicates that money matters more than winning. And, using your I-Rod reference, if he'd gone to Florida even though the WS-contenders wanted him, it'd be one thing. I don't remember the teams like the Yankees or Sox or Braves going after him. (and, yes, I recognize that using the Braves as World Series contenders is a stretch ... I just couldn't think of any other NL teams that make the playoffs every year)

Most of the teams I root for are due to geography: I'm a Masshole, so obviously root for the Pats & Bruins. And, to a lesser extent, the Celts and Red Sox (basically, I like it better when those teams do well, but I really don't care ... if I cared enough about basketball or baseball to really root for a team, it'd be them). If you include college, it'd be BU or Harvard for hockey (again, due to where I've lived in the city) and Colorado State for football (went to school there).

Exactly. The athlete's career is a ticking time bomb. His skills will only carry him until he reaches his late 30s, or early 40s if he is lucky. Job security is important for an athlete. Oh, I'd forgotten that Pedro was collecting cans to make ends meet. Give me a break, the guy's made how many millions of dollars in his career? Enough that his kid's kids won't have to worry about money, right? And to even imply that he was looking more at the 4th year of playing than the $$$ that will come with it is a farce. If he'd been offered 3 years at $17 million, rather than 4 years at $14, I really think that he'd have taken the former, even though it meant a shorter contract. It was all about the money ... oops, I mean respect, with Pedro. And, Czech, why'd you take my Patriots blowjob out of the quote? Does this mean I got my knees dirty for nothing?

Hey, I never said "thanks for liking me, all" ... I just thanked people for their support. /doesn't care that strangers online don't like me

While I'm personally not a big hoops fan, most of my friends are, and for the most part they'd rather see the Celts trade Pierce. He's not the player that he once was, and worse than that he doesn't seem to realize it. Too many times he forces a bad shot rather than move the ball to a more open player. As long as they keep Ricky, I'm happy.

Maybe it'll be a no-contest when Batista runs in and demolishes them both. Luckily for Chris & Chris, though, Orton will be there to make the save.

While I didn't have much sympathy for Kulas to begin with, I lost the little that I had once he began lying under oath and fucking up his own case. If he was just honest while in court, he'd have made out like a bandit ... but NOOOO he had to lie & change his story repeatedly, causing him to lose a no-brainer of a case. And, after reading the IGN interview, I think it's safe to say that New Jack is being less than 100% honest.

As far as I know, Embrace is credited with starting emo. In the 80's. No Shit. Quoting myself, from 2 pages ago:

pinjockey ... I know that there were a ton of other things that turned the Falcons around more than Vick. And you know that there were a ton of other things that turned the Falcons around more than Vick. But that doesn't mean that people who voted won't look at it at face value and say, "The Falcons were the #2 team in the NFC. Who on the team is responsible for that?" and then give a vote to Vick just because he's the only name. Philly has more than one name (TO, McNabb), same with Pittsburgh (Big Ben, Bettis, their receivers, plus a D that got a lot of attention this year). I'm not saying that I agree with the argument, I'm just saying I can see why Vick would get a vote.

The only reason I didn't submit picks was to bust your balls. I'm glad my plan worked ... ... all kidding aside, thanks for the support, all. I logged off the computer after visiting TSM on Saturday, and didn't go back online until it was too late.
