  1. He does, but I think Viscera did more damage to the Crossface by spending 35-40 seconds in it after taking a German suplex on his big ol' fat noggin than Batista did by immediately countering the move. I couldn't agree more ... people a lot smaller than Batista have fought through the pain longer. People a lot less strong than Batista have fought through the pain longer. People that were a lot more beaten up than Batista fought through the pain longer. Yet it was only last night that the finisher was destroyed? Give me a break.

Why is Figure Skating on ESPN?

Darts are actually fun to watch on TV. I couldn't give a shit about the other 'sports' that you listed, though.

    Shaun Alexander

What should give a guy more pride, a rushing title or winning their division? You're supposed to play for the name on the front of the jersey, not the one on the back. I'd have loved it if Alexander had been given the ball but stopped, and Seattle lost. And, regarding the last point that I bolded ... the o-line DID get to pound one in ... but for the QB instead of Alexander.

    2005 NFL Schedule

I think it's way too early for people to be saying how easy/hard their team's schedule is ... we don't even know when the games will be played. And it's more difficult to go to a cold, potentially snowy place (e.g. Buffalo, New England, Philly) in December than it is in October.

kkk nfl pick 'em Week 17

Flik, you're crazy ... 20-12 is a very good record over two years. NFL coaches have been given contract extensions for less than that.

EMO music: love it, hate it?

As much as I hate hipsters, I have to admit that I think that the emo look is hot ... on girls. Guys that dress emo deserve to be castrated. But, put an "emo outfit' on a hot girl, and count nl5 as interested.

    Brain Teaser

I know that I'm feeding the troll on this one, but did you not see what Prodigy posted on the 1st?

    Brain Teaser

Wait, Jason, did you just post the solution to the black & white hat 'teaser'? Wasn't that one provided like 2 days ago?!?
  9. I just realized the worst thing about Dinsmore being stuck with the Eugene character ... having to stay in character for public things like that book-signing. It'd fucking BLOW to have to stay in 'special needs' mode for a prolonged public appearance.

kkk nfl pick 'em Week 17

Let's hear it for the least-deserving playoff team! Man, I barely paid attention to the standings these last few weeks, too ... I had no idea I was even in the playoff hunt, let alone had a legitimate chance of making it.

    The Wildcard Weekend Thread

smh, I've been saying it for weeks ... I just really don't believe the hype with "Big Ben" and the Steelers. Yes, they beat the Bills pretty handily, but every other QB that they'll face in the playoffs > Drew Bledsoe. I'll be the first to say "I was wrong" if/when they don't lose that game. Well, technically, someone posting a "ha, ha, you were wrong!" post will be the first to say it ... but I won't deny it.

    The Wildcard Weekend Thread

My picks: AFC: - Indy destroys the Broncos (not as bad as last year's blowout, but still an easy win). Plummer throws 3 picks. - San Diego beats the Jets. Didn't the Jets finish the season 4-5 in their last 9 games? Nice momentum. NFC: - Green Bay beats the Vikings. Tice is lucky to still be employed. - Seattle beats the Rams. Martz either does something that's incredibly stupid or just abandons what's working and throws 90% of the time. Also, I want to reiterate my "Pittsburgh loses their first playoff game" prediction. I don't care who it's against, but they're losing. Right it down.

Who was the first to wear "non wrestling attire"

"Big" Bubba Rogers (the future Big Boss Man) wore a suit in the ring when he debuted, and that was '86 or '87.

    Favourite Goals

Beat me to it ... most famous picture in NHL history. For ones that I've seen (either live or on TV) it'd be either Bourque winning the All Star game with a goal in Boston or Neely scoring #s 49 & 50 in his 44th game in '92-'93.

Is Mike Martz a crappy coach that you hate?

I voted the blank option ... as someone that hates the Rams, I hope they keep Martz forever. Just watching him make bad decisoin after bad decision is great ... not to mention his doing a little happy-dance on the sideline a few times a game. That alone is enough to put a smile on my face. Having said that, though, if I liked the Rams, I'd hate Martz with a passion.

EMO music: love it, hate it?

OMGZ THAT'S NOT TRUE EMO WAS STARTED IN WASHINGTON DC SCENE BY IAN MACKAYE FROM EMBRACE THEY WERE TEH FRIST EMO BANDS STUPID But they never really fit the current emo sound let ever called themselves emo. And, technically, Rites of Spring existed before Embrace, and are considered the first Emo band. Them or Dag Nasty. It was rich kids from DC, regardless. Having said that, Embrace is the only 'emo' band mentioned in this thread that I've even heard of, let alone actually heard. (not that really I consider them emo, but I digress). Give me Embrace, Rites of Spring, Dag Nasty, etc. over any of these new bands, 7 days a week.

Wait, kkk, you're the one that deemed me "one of the least-liked posters here" yet are willing to buddy-up with Jason?!? Man, I'm even worse than I realized.

    Real World/Road Rules Challenge

Who's left that's hotter than Tonya?!? Maybe Arissa is close, but other than that there's no one left that I dig at all. And no worries about an apology ... I think more people disliked her than liked her. I'm shallow enough, though, that the fact that she's hot is enough for me to overlook her negatives.

2005 World Junior Hockey Championship Thread

Last night's game was the first US game that I didn't get to watch (Wednesday belongs to LOST, even when they're showing re-runs) but I watched the game in commercials and have to say that while Montoya might be over-rated, he's much better than Schneider. (I don't get why BC is giving Schneider so much playing time, I think that they're stronger when Kaltiainen is in net) The blue-line shot that Montoya gave up was pretty much just because he wasn't ready yet ... if he'd been playing the entire game, he'd have most likely made that save. I guess that I really can't blame the US for playing Schneider last night, though, you have to rest Montoya some time, and the Belarus game is as good a choice as any.

    WWE and it's trademarks

While Vince has definitely been an asshole to a lot of people, he has done a lot of good things, too (people have gone as far as to say that he helpes save the lives of Guerrero & Regal) ... so to call him Satan is a bit of a stretch, isn't it?

    Lance Storm

Great, thank you, al ... there's still a part of me that misses Storm (I was always a mark for him) and wouldn't mind seeing him take one more run in the WWE. (Thrillseekers vs. Edge/Christian, for example)
