    People who hate sports...

I think out of the sports you listed, Loss, only hockey is better live than on TV. The times that I go to basketball or baseball games I spend more time people-watching or just fucking around than I do really caring about the game. Football & tennis are actually better on TV because of replays, stats, etc. /yes, this might be a +1

ABC apologizes for steamy Monday Night intro

Agreed. After seeing the clip again, Nicole looks eerily like Sable. Which made my little buddy wilt in pain. Is the clip available online anywhere? Is nobody going to address the real issues? go to fark.com ... they have an iFilm link of it (be forewarned, though, iFilm sucks ass). the link might be kind of far down, or in the archives, by now ... this news is a few days old now

    People who hate sports...

I really have no beef with people that hate sports. I don't agree with them -I'm a huge football fan & an even bigger hockey fan - but I can understand why they might not dig sports. Two of the three most popular American sports (baseball & basketball) bore the piss out of me, and if I never had to sit through a game again it'd be fine. Loss, what pro sports have you seen live?

    Hollywood Blondes

I can't remember it verbatim, but basically "how long until someone screams at Wisdom for posting this in the wrong folder?" ... and then while I was typing that in you pointed out that it was the wrong thread and didn't do it like an asshole (which is what I expected, b/c that tends to be the normal reaction). Nothing too earthshattering

X-Pac & Chyna sex tape sold.

Hey, if they can find people willing to buy videos of Nicole Bass "dominating" Kronus, they can find people to buy this monstrosity. /not sure if it's Kronus, but it is one of the old XPW guys //never looked at more than the cover of the video

EDIT: in the time it took me to type my original post, Franchise answered my question. But much less angrily than I'd anticipated. I eat my words, Franchise

ABC apologizes for steamy Monday Night intro

Wait ... how do people in Western PA dress when they go to a beach, or a pool, or anywhere else that a woman would normally wear a bathing suit? (Because there's more to see when a girl is in a bathing suit than they showed on MNF.) How about daytime soap operas, where there's promiscuity, women in lingeries, etc etc. How can parents be 100% sure their kids aren't seeing anything 'wrong' there? (Because there's much more sexual innuendo, and that's on during the middle of the day) Or how about the Sears catalog, with their bathing suit ads, bra ads, panty ads, etc.? While obviously not riddled with sexual innuendo, there is more TnA in those ads than in seeing a naked back. Are those taboo as well?

    LOST

Am I the only one that thought the sub-plot between Sayid & the French woman was too rushed? I literally had chills when she showed herself after he awoke to find himself tied down ... and thus was wicked disapointed when their time together was so rushed. He was trapped, he was tortured, they befriended each other (the whole music box thing), he escaped, they had a show-down and then went their separate ways WAY too quickly. It really should have been drawn out over another episode. (and, yes, I realize that she's not done yet, and this segment was only to introduce more plot twists & hints) Other then that, another stellar episode. Kate & Shannon looked scrumptious, as always. Hurley, Locke, Sawyer & Charley were all awesome, as always. Even Jack, who I'm sometimes touch & go with, was sweet this week. (And am I the only one that thinks the 'hives' are going to turn out to be something very, very different?!?) Lastly, count me among those that are pissed that a 2 hour episode of the Bachelor is pushing the next Lost back a week ... wtf, who really watches the Bachelor?!?

    Reality TV

As much as I detest most reality shows, the reality TV craze >> the game show craze of a few years ago. (e.g. Millionaire, Weakest Link, Dog Eat Dog, and all the other ones that were so lame I never bothered to learn their names)

    Raw Rating

There's a good chance the fact that the Monday Night Football game was a complete blowout (and relatively early) had an effect on the ratings, too. Most of America probably tuned out when Philly started lighting the Cowboys up.

    The 102 Rulesof Hardcore Music

Today's hardcore is bullshit. It's just trying to recreate what happened in the 80s, and is failing in trying. I can't think of a group that's started in the last decade that I'd consider real hardcore. Literally, the only one on that list that is at all true to the hardcore that I know and believe in is the one about calling them 'shows' instead of 'concerts'. Worst. List. Ever.

    Real World/Road Rules Challenge

Since he was leading the TE voting until Puder schooled Angle, everyone must hate him. Wait ... are you being sarcastic? If he's so hated, why would he be winning? (Place 'because being on Smackdown is a punishment' joke here _________________). Or, if you're being sarcastic, how was I supposed to tell?!?

    The Meal Thread

Teriaki steak tips over a salad, ranch dressing. And water to drink.

ABC apologizes for steamy Monday Night intro

They're bitching because it aired at 6:00 on the West Coast, and heaven forbid a kid sees a woman in a towel or "naked". I mean, I saw a naked back when she dropped her towel! Won't someone think of the children!

    Real World/Road Rules Challenge

But the girls team is?!? You've got to be kidding, regardless of their gender these MTV shows are made up of simpletons and meatheads. I think that they should either break it down as RR vs. RW again, or do a 'draft' where captains pick their teams regardless of what show they were on. And count me as another person that's bummed that Angela was voted off, she's definitely eye-candy for me. Of course, Tonya was the other person that might have been voted off, and I'd miss her, too, if she was voted off (well, technically, I'd miss her tig ol' bitties more than her as a person). What depressed me more than Angela getting the boot was the fact that the Miz did NOT. He's easily one of my most hated people in reality TV history.

    New Strongbad E-Mail

Yeah, this was definitely one of the better H*R episodes in a long, long time. (and I even liked the kind-of iffy ones that they've been giving us lately) Methinks that SB will get a new PC ... but not a new PC really, just another old shitbox that's new to him.

    Warner out, Eli in..

Chargers fans have to be stoked ... Manning will be lucky to win half of his games (and by lucky I mean VERY VERY lucky) and thus the Giants will get a good, high draft pick ... which will go directly to the Bolts because of the Rivers/Manning deal. /can't wait for Eli to make the "I can't believe I just threw another interception" face, made famous by his big brother

    The best commercial ever.......

My favorite two ads of all time: 1) the carfax.com (I think) where the guy is riding shotgun while the hound-dog is driving the truch, and the guy is like a wife bitching about how the dog never listens to him ("I bet you're not even listening right now") 2) old-school ESPN ad where Rob Ray beats the hell out of the delivery guy for not having the proper paperwork or ID or something comparable.

    I want an argument

They haven't had a good song since 1984 came out. Plus, Eddie was cooler when he was a drunk. Or did you mean the poster?

    Shannon Moore's

Actually, I remember seeing some old pictures of Animal before Hawk joined up, and he wore jeans that were cut off to the point that they were barely more than Daisy Dukes ... add the little leather cap that he wore then, and THEN you have a really gay look. And, claydude, it's spelled OI, not OY.

    Most Quotable Movies?

The movies that my friends & I quote most often are Revenge of the Nerds ("you got your asses kicked by a bunch of goddamn nerds. NERDS!" and "the entire speech that Goodman does in the locker room to inspire the Alpha Betas to destroy the tri-Lams house), Slapshot (particularly the "old time hockey" speech & "putting on the foil") and Strange Brew ("the power of the force stopped you nobs"). And let me echo Lushus' "allright allright allright" ... I use that one so often it's kind of embarrassing.

    The 40 LEAST Metal moments

I watched part of this list ... until I remembered that all of these awful VH1 list-shows piss me off. First of all, shouldn't appearing in VH1 be worthy of a place on a "Least Metal" list?!? Second of all, am I the only one that noticed the irony of people like LA Guns making fun of hair bands like Bon Jovi or Europe? Third of all, did anyone really consider a band like Nelson to be all that metal in the first place? Last of all, how is Avril covering Metallica less metal than Snoop? Pop is no further from metal than rap ... they should have done the entire Icon show if they wanted to reference that as a non-metal moment.
