Back when I was a Starbucks regular, I was a Venti Soy Latte guy. Dunkin' Donuts is the Bud or Miller of the coffee world. Not especially good, but since it's EVERYWHERE people drink it. Lately I've been going to the mom-n-pop coffee place around the corner from my apartment. I only get a plain ol' coffee there - black, or just cream, depending on my mood. And things like espresso or cappacino (sp?) ... I'll only get them at a real restaurant. They just don't taste as good at a Starbucks or a <shudder> Dunkin' Donuts.

Good game for the B's last night ... winning a game that they really, IMHO, didn't deserve to win. Too many times this year, though, they've lost games they should have won, so it's good to have things spin right for a change. Timmy Thomas - who I've been very critical of - stood on his head at times, including a Save-of-the-Year candidate to rob MSL of a goal. Glenn Murray made amends for a bad pass (that led to the go-ahead goal for TB) by scoring the tying just a few minutes later. Bergeron continued his hot streak (8 straight games with a point). Boyes scored for the 3rd straight game, including a sick backhander with the puck about 2.5 feet off the ice. And Kessel scored his first shootout goal to give the B's the win. (Let it be known, though, that I still detest the shootout). All in all, a good win that'll hopefully keep the team headed in the right direction.

Truer words have never been spoken, naiwf. This season has been a never-ending string of WTF? moments. Really, do any of the remaining survivors really think that they're going to win with the way that they're playing? Only Ozzy really deserves to win at this point ... Yul, I think, played himself out of the money last night. While it was ass-backwards and childish for the YWT (young white trio) to try to blackmail Yul to vote out Jonathan in order to get their vote at the Final 2, voting Jonathan out then really did make the most sense for Yul & company. They would still have the numbers, and could just vote Adam - the only real competitoin among the YWT - off next Tribal Council. Instead, Yul now has to deal with the fact that he's pissed off 3 members of the jury ... and you just know that they're going to convince Nate to vote like they do, regardless of how childish their reasoning is. Speaking of Nate: I really get the impression that he thought that he'd win, or at least stay in the game, based on his personality alone ... and his personality sucked ass. The guy did NOTHING to earn the right to stay in the game, even though he had the perfect opportunity to join with Yul/Ozzy before Jonathan did. And back to Yul for a minute: Why tell everyone that he has the Idol? Why be so honest with the people he's about to vote off? No matter how little he likes Jonathan, or how much he feels he can predict what he's going to do, it makes NO SENSE to tell Candice, Parvati & the meathead that!

The parts I liked, I really liked. The parts that I didn't, I really didn't. Anything to do with Michael being non-racist was hilarious. Pretty much everything that Kevin said or did last night was hilarious. Jim setting Andy up to prank Pam was, you guessed it, hilarious. But the "Prison Mike" scene went on far too long (well, technically, it got funnier when people started asking him questoins to force him to improvise, but it wasn't that funny to begin with. So, in total, went on far too long). Michael emulating "Look Who's Talking" should have ended much sooner than it did as well. I dunno, there were just times that I found myself anxiously waiting for a scene to end.

I bolded three, because I'm going to play the Devil's Advocate on them ... - If a character is barely featured, it's safe to say that for that one episode, they shouldn't be considered a "key" character. I'd rather they not force an appearance in where it's not warranted. - Lately, it seems, the Simpsons has been better about using celebrities the right way. A few weeks ago, Keifer Sutherland was a guest voice, but not as "Star of 24, Keifer Sutherland" ... he played a character. Which is fine by me. I'll be the first to agree that having guest voices appear as themselves is lame and over-done. - Why should characters be exactly the same so many years later? It's like Barney's turn to sobriety ... if it helps build the character, all the power to 'em. And I think them humanizing Burns has helped the character.

You missed a spot. In regards to the bolded part ... I've heard that it was a group of multiracial cops, including non-whites. Methinks that this doesn't have to be a black-v-white thing. And how long do you guys think it takes to rattle off 50 shots, when it's at least 7 or so cops doing the shooting? Maybe a minute? It's not like this was a long, drawn-out shootout over the course of an hour.

I don't think MENSA is accusing the character of Claire of being a whore. I think he's saying that the show is pimping her out for ratings. Regardless, he's wrong. EDIT: MENSA = Karc

Well, yeah, but that doesn't have anything to do with the "Save the Cheerleader, Save the World" ad campaign that Karc complained about. It could have been "Save the Asian guys, Save the World" and we'd have still been all up about the hot cheerleader. A better example of whoring out a character to get ratings was when LOST first launched. The first few ads were all about Kate in her little bra & panties in the water ... it was more about her TnA than anything else. Hell, it's the reason I first tuned in. If it's not gratuitious, it's not "whoring" IMHO. Killing Peter off - for good - would add to my enjoyment of the show immeasurably.

There's a lot of posters that have earned a lot more shit than Leena but get a fraction of the flaming. Leena's far from perfect, and has obviously made a ton of enemies around here, but she's far from the worst poster on TSM. People should spread the flames around, I think.

Nah, I have no real issues with Habs fans. And you're a good poster even with that one glaring definciency, so I'd be willing to overlook your choice in hockey team. I'll give you one caveat about coming to Boston for a game: the "Garden" sucks. Big time. The Bell Centre (or whatever it's called this year) PWNS the "Garden" as an arena.

I don't think this was the intended purpose of this thread, but - just for the record - I don't dislike anyone that's posted in, or been referenced by, this thread. Except, of course, the nameless ones that I declined to mention. And to take it one step further, I out-and-out like most of you.

For the record, there are definitely posters that I dislike, but I dislike them with such ferocity that I'd prefer not to mention it in this thread.
