My presumption/guess was that the guy was a racist of some sort, just because of his whole "light" and "dark" spiel ... but the split personality theory runs circles around mine. The fact that he'd be telling a black kid that he's racist is kind of a bad way to keep a secret. (I blame the vodka dinner for the stupid theory, but that's just me making excuses.) And, RRR, thanks for the cast-list. I was having a hard time remembering the names, so a cheat sheet was needed. Thanks.

I had heard The No T.V. or Radio rule came after Season 2. Apparently that Cowboy dude (I think his name was John, but Im not sure.) sat around the house just about the entire season and watched T.V. But you may be right about The London Cast. That would explain why that Season was among the worst! I'd actually heard it was the Boston cast that did little more than sit around & watch TV ... which would make sense, seeing how early everything closes around here.

Trust me, I've been called worse than "Niskie" /kkk, looking at you for calling me disliked.

German on my father's side, Irish on my mother's.

Fitting, since you're one of the least-liked posters here... Am I disliked because of my name, my posts, or jealousy over my immense schlong? Regardless, while I'm sure I'm not anyone's favorite, I doubt I'm among the least liked. Maybe the one that most people are apathetic about. Slayer, it's a strain of pot ... NL5 = Northern Lights 5, SK1 = Skunk 1, and the 'x' is just to indicate that it's been crossbred.

Not even sure why I'm bothering to post this, but I've always been nl5xsk1 ... among the least liked names on the board.

Doing a prequel would be a much better way to bust Lucas' balls. /casts vote for a prequel

My guess is that they put the Benoit match on early because his appearance would get a big pop, and thus having him on the card early is a good thing. Most likely, as has been said, the show will be rearannged to put his match on last when it actually airs. We'll find out on Sunday.

No, I really don't they have any responsibility to not say certain things, just because of where they are. It's more offensive to me that there is an entire storyline based on a miscarriage than about a fluke death, regardless of the city that they're in. And, what do you mean, "the consequences of your programming"? Are these consequences just viewers being offended? Like I said above, it's more offensive that they repeatedly use a miscarriage as part of a storyline than anything else. Anything up to "I'll leave you as dead as Owen" or "I'll kill you faster than a fall from the roof" pales in comparison to the miscarriage crap. (BTW, You won't ever see me make excuses about running the rest of the show that night, that was inexcusable.) EDIT: Loss, I'd started this, and then got too busy at work to finish posting it, so started it before you're 'knock it off' request. Feel free to delete as desired, no offense will be taken

I personally didn't ignore your point. (I'm the one that took it one step further and said that you should be ready to lambast the WWE for making insensitive comments in the arena where Droz was crippled.) I just still don't see how "accountability" is part of this debate. To me, Vince admitting that he was to blame & them making a death reference last night are two different things that have absolutely nothing to do with each other. You disagree. I doubt that either of us will change their minds, so it's a moot point. If they kept on lowering wrestlers using cheap acrobat-esque tricks, I'd be offended. But not by anything they said or did last night.

RRR, I'm really not flaming here, just asking a question: what exactly is the WWE getting away with here? Other than making a potentially insensitive remark?

Slayer, I meant seeing girls wrestle in jello live ... pictures are a dime a dozen. (technically, with this intraweb thingy in full force, pictures like that are basically infinite for the cost of a high speed connection). And I will agree that it would take more than watching college girls wrestle in bra & panties for me to actually punch my clown. It's been a long, long time since I would be able to get off on that enough to actually jerk off. But I'm not above standing around and watching them while I enjoy a cold beer.

a tale of two monty's I'd think he'd go by "Kip Winchester" or something completely new as his name. William Gunn. Knowing WWE, they probably wouldn't even allow THAT. Isn't Joanie Laurer going by "China Doll" or something equally stupid? Couldn't they just deviate from the spelling and change it slightly to circumvent the copyright?

Wait ... how is challenging the complainers to show some pictures oppressing their freedom of speech? If anything, you threatening me to risk being "banded" is a far greater oppression that me calling you out. /unless you were being sarcastic, in which case that's a good one. Since you've been on the board for all of 3 weeks now, I haven't had the opportunity to distinguish between you being sarcastic or just stupid.

Wow ... it's such a good feeling when a post actually gets responses, rather than just fading away to message board never-never-land. Lushus, I'm actually in a similar boat as you, almost 30 and long past my 'crazy party' days. I occasionally go to a big-ass bender, but rarely do they involve jello wrestling or faux-punk outfits. Other than a few friends who refuse to acknowledge that they're getting older, most of my friends are either married or in long-term relationships, and thus our parties have had to evolve. Slayer, your honesty is appreciated and noted. I have no problems mocking frat guys, either, and have done so since long before my college career and have continued to do so long after it's over. The fact that it's tied in with a wrestling message board makes it that much more entertaining. But, having said all that, I reiterate my statement: the guy is able to produce about a dozen pictures of broads in bras & panties rolling around. Are they supermodels? No, far from it. But they are girls, and methinks that there a few people on this board that would give their left nut to get to watch college chicks wrestle nearly naked.

The fact that Edge & Michaels are even 'finalists' is a formality. It'll come down to Benoit & Orton, and my guess is that Benoit will get the shot but then lose the match. It's time for HHH to get his jobs back, and it's too early for Orton to lose ANOTHER match to him. My guess is that Orton will actually win the 'election' but will be swindled out of his title shot somehow (just like they did when someone would win the Rumble but not get the 'Mania title shot) and will face Batista or Flair at the PPV. Benoit will back-door his way to the title shot and then lose.

Wait a minute, there's a person that's getting more heel heat than a lot of the actual heels on the roster, and their supposed to just let her walk because she didn't win? This is a ready-made feud, whether smarks want it or not.

Hey, what city did Droz get dropped in, so we can all know to be hyper-sensitive about any "he's trying to end his career!" type hyperbole from the announcers. Even if they WERE trying to imply something about Owen, it's not the end of the world. And the fact that they most likely were NOT trying to imply something about him shouldn't be overlooked.

And let his wife control the house. Eliminated from contention

I'd say that I'm more amazed than depressed at the reaction that UTSU got when he posted these ... he posted pictures of the 'punk party' and everyone jumped down his throat, and demanded pics of girls. So he posts pics of girls and everyone jumps down his throat for that. Let's see the complainers show pictures of their gorgeous female friends and raging parties. Put your money where your mouth is. UTSU, keep fighting the good fight, knowing that you've probably thrown more jello wrestling parties than most people on this board.

Wow ... most of the things that I was going to list have already been mentioned, so evidently everyone hasn't seen them. Having said that, though: MOVIES Lord of the Rings (any of them) Harry Potter (any of them) Any Tom Hanks movie since Dragnet Kill Bill Reservoir Dogs Office Space Any of the new Star Wars flicks Braveheart Passion of the Christ Titanic Crouching Tiger Any theatrical cartoon (e.g. Shrek, Toy Story, etc etc) TV Virtually everything on primetime TV ... I mean, I've never seen: Nip/Tuck, The Shield, all of the CBS shows that they advertise during football games, CSI, West Wing, ER, Six Feet Under, Sex In the City ... I could go on and on.

I chose 'other' because none of the choices really fit my answer, with 6 being the closest. What happened to grunge is the same thing that happened to punk or hardcore ... it became a form of self-parody. Bands that followed the initial wave seemed to be closer to a Saturday Night Live skit than a real band, and the whole scene loses credibility as a result.
