banky, is it safe to presume that you're being sarcastic with the 'ya, all is so prog.' statement?
-
Yes. EDIT: I <3 double-posts.
-
Yes.
-
I'm presuming the number of google searches for Lazytown Stephanie just skyrocketed.

I agree ... ALL is a bit too "prog" (for lack of a better word) at times for me. And their brand of pop-punk is a bit too pop and not enough punk, IMHO. I will admit, though, that I've only heard a few of their albums (Allroy Saves, Allroy's Revenge, Allroy For Prez) so maybe I've just listened to the bad ones or something. While I don't think it's record worthy, I'd like to mention that I have no problem with Paul, either.

Nope. I've licked the teeth of the former, but not today. And the latter is a dude, and for all of my, ahem, "interests", none involve getting teh ghey.

I was at a friend's house helping her get her iPod set-up, and figured I'd go online and see what excitement TSM could bring into my life. Now I'm at another friend's house and killing time before the OSU/Michigan game starts. And thus I'm here online again.

Pretty much. Milo left to go to college, and Dave Smalley came aboard to be the new singer ... at that point, they renamed themselves ALL. They've since reformed as Descendents a few times, and as of now I really couldn't tell you which is the more active entity. Thanks, alf. And regardless what Paul actually intended, both interpretations are correct: Hotbutter should listen to me AND I'm shit.

he rips on me all the time! But you frequently deserve it.

Nah, Flik, you're still the worst here at TSM. Sadly, and this might make you feel better, I'm the worst in a money pool ... at least here's only for bragging rights.

I'm not going to bitch about my horrid showing in the league this year due to the fact that I'm in LAST FUCKING PLACE in $ pick'em league that I do IRL. 67th out of 67 is not a fun place to be. Having said that, my picks for this week: Baltimore Buffalo N.Y. Jets New Orleans Indianapolis Miam New England --- The Pats'll score 27 Oakland Cleveland Carolina Tennessee Washington Arizona Seattle San Diego Jacksonville

I don't know if it was just a matter of unrealistic expectations or what, but I wasn't enamored with last night's episode. It was good at times, but not nearly as great as I had thought it was going to be. And I thought that Kevin & the shredder stole the show more than Creed, Dwight, Andy, etc. Sometimes the less over-the-top stuff amuses me more than the real extreme stuff does.

For a message board that likes to call Leena an attention whore, TSM sure gives her a lot of unrequested attention. If she's really getting engaged, congrats to her. If it's all a big myspace work, congrats to her on that.

Is there any chance that there was actually two bottles in Probts's pockets, and if Aitu had won, he'd have given them the one that didn't say "vote out another member"? I just can't see the producers stacking the deck so much, against the two surviving tribe members, by having them get outnumbered by such a huge margin. Having said that, pretty good episode. Watching Yul & Ozzy dominate in the competitions makes me further scratch my head over Candice & Jonathan's decisions to jump ship. Why go to the weaker tribe? Candice, obviously, just wanted to be with her boyfriend ... but still, is having an island hook-up more important than potentially winning a million dollars? And the fact that Raro is now 4 caucasians and 1 "other" makes me laugh. The fact that 4 of the final 9 all came from the original white alliance is hilarious. When there's a merge, though, will Nate stick with Raro or will he allign against them?

"Copycat" attacks could be a concern, especially if there are such minimal repercussions. -
Five Favorite Aphex Twin Albums 1. Caustic Window 2. Hangable Auto Bulb 3. Drukqs 4. Richard D. James Album 5. I Care Because You Do NOTE: If the Drukqs double album has to count as two seperate entities, disc 1 would be #3, and disc 2 would be #5, and I Care Because You Do would be bumped off the list.

If Gord Miller's anything like me, he'd have a look of sheer euphoria at that time. Big win for the B's last night. Back-to-back wins for the 1st time all year ... yeah, it was against such powerhouses as OTT and WASH, but wins are wins. I'm hoping the momentum from the shootout win (ugh) will carry them to a revenge win after last Thursday's debacle versus the Leafs. My only real complaint with last night's game was the continued sucktitude of Paul Mara. He's playing better than Boynton - so the Bruins are "winning" the trade - but he's still bringing absofuckinglutely nothing to the table as far as I can see. I would have thought that an offensive defenseman would show occasional flashes of offense. So far, I've thought wrong.

What do I have to adjust to only see the good posts?

A Rant thread titled "Cheerleaders gone wild" should have had blood and/or vomit. The lack of either saddens me. -**

Lost said the same thing ... and they've been all over the road. Not to seem overly cynical, but I have a hard time believing the writers when they say that they have everything mapped out for more than a season.

So, I finally saw last week's episode over the weekend, and have a few quick thoughts: Why would Candace & Jonathan switch teams so late in the game? Candace especially, since she was - in my opinion - a front-runner to win it all. She's now a newbie on one team and an enemy of the other. Her relationship with that one white guy will help her, as will the fact that there is a strong caucasian alliance ... but she went from a very advantageous position to being on a relative hot-seat. And Jonathan might as well made a sign that said, "vote me out soon!" with a move like that. Speaking of stupid moves that basically asked to be voted out, wtf was Brad thinking? He had the chance to ride out the last few vote-offs (e.g. the guaranteed elimination of Jonathan and the potential for either Candace going or the other tribe losing the next IC) and then trying to reunite with Yul, a player with lots of power. Unless I'm missing it, this season has had the worst "alliance" builders ever. Normally by now there is one dominant alliance that has the final 4 (or so) wrapped up. This year is still pretty wide-open. Well, I guess those thoughts weren't that quick.

Pervert. And having said that, I was intrigued by Suresh's ability to see/dream the past at first, too ... at first I thought that maybe it was the office that allowed him to dream about what really happened, and that maybe it was people's locations - rather than the people themselves - that caused the powers that they had. Then they showed the kid's picture, and I realized that it was him (the kid) that was giving Suresh the ability to dream the future ... I think. Agreed.

I voted other. It's the Peyton Manning commercials that kill me. I don't know the Mellencamp commercial that everyone under the sun hates - I don't doubt that I've seen it, but I know that I haven't paid enough attention to tell you a single thing about the song or the ad. The Coors lights aren't funny, but they're not annoying enough to drive me away from a football game. And I avoid ESPN like the plague at this point, so haven't seen enough MNF ads to know how much they bother me. But the Peyton Manning ads, from the laughably overrated "Cut that Meat!" ones to the stupid mustache & wig one to the whole family calling plays while living their normal life ... ugh. No mas.

I ended up watching most of last week's on SciFi at 7:00 last night ... that might be my new routine, watching the episode from the week before as part of the ritual of watching the new episode. Sometimes you guys point out details that I missed and it'd be cool to see them after-the-fact. We'll have to agree to disagree on that part, Dubs. I'll agree that they were key to the progression of the story ... but interesting? Nah.
