    Bonds just won't shut up

Would it be a roid-rage that caused Bonds to commit homicide in front of a stadium full of people?

    Bonds just won't shut up

Dub, what was NYC, Chicago, Denver, LA, SF, etc. doing while Boston was having all these "racial problems" in the 80s? Singing campfire songs and holding hands? No, they experienced the same types of problems as Boston.

    Recent Purchases

Most recent purchases: The Streets (A Grand Don't Come for Free) and the Audio Bullys (Ego War) And I just got Sheer Terror (Just Can't Hate Enough) on vinyl, but I didn't buy that, my friends fiancee is making him get rid of his old hardcore music and that was one that he knew that I wanted. Fingers crossed on getting more in the upcoming weeks, as he unearths them all.

14,000 Things I Hate About Myself

And to think that I was depressed and embarrassed about having almost 2,000. Man, thanks guys ... I feel better already. /nl5: goes back to posting like the message board loser that he is.

    Bonds just won't shut up

But Bonds didn't say the team was racist, he said the city was. Well, then they do a damn good job tolerating a team full of hispanics and blacks. The whole "Boston is a racist city" argument is so passe, it's not even funny. Having lived in other cities besides Boston, I can assure you that Boston is no more racist than anywhere else. Maybe it was 30, or even 20, years ago, but the rest of the country has caught up just fine.

EDIT: other people already made my point ... I guess I took too long before hitting the button to post my comment. Move along, nothing to see here.

Fahrenheit 9/11 Review by FOX NEWS

Why oh why didn't Bush change into his Superman outfit and save the day?!? How far was the nearest phone booth, couldn't he have there and changed in time to stop those planes? Any person that says that we should have shot down the planes immediately is using hindsight to say what was the 'right' thing to do. Normally when a plane is highjacked, it's taken to an airport and the hijackers negotiate. So, not shooting the planes was standard operating procedure at the time. Yes, the first tower being hit could have been a clue, but it also could have been an accident. Once the second tower was hit, then what we were dealing with became obvious and the need to potentially shoot down planes became a priority.

    Bonds just won't shut up

You know, the Red Sox used to be a rather racist organization (they were the last to have a black player, if memory serves) but they're not anymore. And Boston was, at one time, a pretty racist city ... but again, not anymore (e.g. Pedro, Manny, & Ortiz being among the 3 most popular Sox). At this point, I wouldn't accuse the team or the city as being any worse as the Giants and SF are. And it's laughable that Bonds would say that just because something was a certain way when his father played, it's the same way now. Hey, Barry, things have changed a bit in the last 30 years ... startling, isn't it?!?

    The OAO Hidden Gems Thread

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0119361/ In the Company of Men (don't worry, it only sounds like a gay porn flick). Basically, it's two guys that are sent on an extended business trip and decide to be dicks to this one woman that they meet while there: she happens to be a very hot deaf woman. They both decide to pretend to love her and then plan on dumping her in as cruel a way as possible at the end. The guy that plays the major asshole (Aaron Eckhart) does such a good job that I've heard that people confront him on the streets to give him hell for what he did to this woman.

    NWA

I used to only watch the NWA, and not the WWF at all. (well, only half true, I'd watch the AWA and the Texas leagues, too, but not with the same interest that I did the NWA.) Yes, their presentation looked amateur-ish when compared to the WWF, but once they got in the ring the actual wrestling was 100x better.

    Michael Moore Hates America

And the 12,13,14 year olds will be draft-eligible after that ... let's let them in the theatre, too. Your explanation is appreciated, because it really does make more sense than the way that I'd interpreted what he said ... but it's still a ludicrous statement. If these kids want to see the movie, they can see it in 2-3 years.

    Why ESPN sucks

Czech, I couldn't agree more ... it doesn't bother me as much now that there aren't any sports that I care about, but during the hockey season and playoffs, nothing pissed me off than them wasting 5 minutes on Hearsay, and another 4 or 5 on that stupid ad-campaign that they had that was disguised as mini-movies. And, Verne, if we can keep Berman away from the NHL altogether it'd be better ... I'm more pissed that he was at half the games than the fact that he missed half. Keep him on baseball and football, and far the fuck away form the NHL.

Fahrenheit 9/11 Review by FOX NEWS

kkk. I'm feeling better now ... thanks. (truly not sarcastic ... I always appreciate a good Moore is fat joke.) And I really don't get why it's so earth-shattering that GWB sat there for 11 minutes when he first heard about it. I think everyone went into a sort of shock, and to criticize Bush for having a normal reaction is a farce. What would Clinton have done?

    The jinx is in!

Damaramu, can I ask what - if anything - the preview says about the CSU Rams? I'm thinking it'll be an off-year, what with Van Pelt graduating and all, but I've thought that in the past only to be pleasantly surprised.

    Worst major league sports city?

smh, there's not a place in the world that I could move and not be a Bruins fan. I can kind of understand rooting for the local team at least a little bit (hell, I only lived in Colorado for 5 years, and moved back east 6 years ago but still root for the Rockies & Nuggets ... not the Broncos or Avs, though, I'd rather root for colon cancer than either of those teams) but to completely disavow the allegiance to a team that I had for my entire life? Uh-uh, not happening. Living away from home is the reason that they created the Center Ice cable-package.

    I,MAX

further proof Max has no idea what he's talking about... Wait, Lushus, are you not a Chappelle fan? I interpret that as Max saying that it's a complete joke that Chappelle isn't as funny as Black. In fact, it's so laughable that he isn't as funny as Jack Black that the mere statement is funnier than them both. But I might be wrong.

    This will Show 'Em

It's funny, out of all the political posts and threads I've read these last few months, the only thing that I can say that I've truly learned is that there's a Gay World Series. /nl5: hopes the Yankees won

    Last Comic Standing 2!

There's a link in one of the comments things on Norton's blog that gives away the winner and a few of the other newsworthy moments ... I think it was from aintitcool news or whatever that page is called.

    Fantasy Football for Dopes

Starters: QB, 2 RBs, 2 WRs, 1 TE, 1 kicker, and 1 defense. I normally recommend each team have 12 players, which allows each team to have a backup at most positions (an extra QB, RB, WR and D would normally be sufficient.) # of teams: I'd recommend having no fewer than 8 teams, and no more than 12. Too few teams makes it so every team is a powerhouse, and it's all superstars. Too many teams, and all of a sudden people have Kordell Stewart as their #2 QB. Points: go to the Yahoo leagues, or one of the other free ones, and steal their point systems. No reason to reinvent the wheel, as they say.

    Kurt Kobain

Yeah, I was pretty sure that the Mentors preceded GG ... I was just saying that GG's appearance on Geraldo > Il Duce's appearance on Springer. (both in his actions, and the reactions of the audience)

Fahrenheit 9/11 Review by FOX NEWS

First off, the guy's a dick for using this cliche when talking about Columbine. Common sense says you use something else. Second of all, how much more credibility does he lose by referring to Joy Behar as "always humorous"? And at one point did people like Carson Daly become enough of a celebrity to merit mentioning in a roll call of audience members? Just seems like a biased review of a biased movie.

    Worst major league sports city?

because thats where most Canadians winding up after retirement. Hence why LA has one too, It is considered to be Canada's fifth largest city (800,000 Canadians live there) Not just Canadians ... many New Englanders & New Yorkers go to Florida, and many mid-Westerners go to Arizona. Thus, they might be able to pick up some Original 6 fans in their new locales. Of course, if you've spent 60 years rooting for the Rangers, Bruins or Blackhawks, you're not going to all of a sudden root for the Lightning, Panthers or Coyotes just because you're in their backyard. Stupid Bettman.

    Kurt Kobain

Is that former Headbangers Ball host Adam Curry in that picture of Il Duce that IDRM posted? The GG Allin episode that he appears on Geraldo is the funniest thing in the history of TV. I always thought that Il Duce was just trying to emulate what GG did, and didn't do nearly as good of a job.
