Know what I'm looking forward to? People posting how much they hate the Simpsons. Nothing makes a thread more fun than people wasting their time and energy to make a post about not liking the subject at hand. Having said all that, count me in as someone that's buying this season as soon as it's out. Season 4 was the first really great season, IMHO, and it's a must buy.

The only problem with that would be that either Eddie has to lose the title (which would piss people here off) or the 'new guy' would have to lose in his first feud in his 'new' league. Keep the new guys away from the title picture for a while, and then it's a good idea.

I like how people say things that happened during the show contributed to the less-than-stellar ratings ... like the HBK-HHH thing. What, did people just presume that there'd be too much crap between those two and choose not to watch the entire show as a result? The ratings went UP as the show went on, so it's not like their jerking each other off turned viewers away. Same with the Lita/Kane thing. Saying that not-announcing matches/angles for the night caused lower ratings = makes sense. Saying that the show had too much HHH-HBK instead of Benoit = makes no sense.

(/Raises hand) Sting vs. HBK would have been cool 10 years ago. And even then it was a stretch, it's not like this was a 'dream match' or anything ... other than the fact that they've never faced off, there's nothing that exciting about it. Same with Sting vs. Rock. And there are a lot of other people I'd rather see leading a group against revolution, that happen to be a lot younger, and thus better prepared to be a future star, than Sting. Personally, I see nothing that will be gained by bringing him in, and would be more excited if the news was that they were bringing SOH back.

I'm more grateful that your subject explained what the article was about than I am shocked what the article said. This kind of stuff happens all over the world; we just now have names to go with the stories.

A pox on anyone that votes for the remake. The only thing that could have saved that movie would have been an extended "Jessica Biel takes a shower" scene. Maybe in the director's cut.

I have tickets to Great Woods, so I'll be going to those shows, but I'm unsure if I'll bother going to VT for the festival now. Part of me wants to, to see their last shows and all, but a bigger part of me wants to save the money and not have to deal with the whole scene now. And it cracks me up that it's basically Trey quitting the band. Paige, Jon & Mike should tour without him. They won't do as well, but will still get a pretty good turnout and make more money that Vida Blue, or Pork Tornado, or any of their other side projects.

Hmmm, you mean someone from the Dallas or LA newspapers isn't interested in the Stanley Cup? I'm astounded! And same with Bob Ryan, who'd rather fellate an NBA player than talk about hockey? No way! I'd think that at least Paige would have a passing interest, he at least pretends to like hockey. And don't get me started on the PTI idiots ... they're more interested in promoting themselves than any sport.

The easiest thing to do is to give them one of the secondary, weekend shows and have it be cruiser-only. Maybe give the big feud a match on Smackdown, but otherwise keep the two separate (except on PPV, the cruisers would get a match or 2, maybe 3, on a PPV). People that want to watch the cruisers can, but people that don't want to watch them can skip that show.

Hmmm, big 3, eh? My big three is NHL, NBA, and college hockey so I'll just answer those. BTW, in my world, All-time only includes people that I actually got to see. Active NHL: It was Bertuzzi until he went to town on Moore, but that bumped him off the top spot. I'd say either Roenick or Thornton, with Jumbo Joe getting the tiebreaker because he wears the Spoked B. All-time NHL: Bourque or Gretzky, with Bourque winning via the same tiebreaker as Thornton. Active NFL: Brian Urlacher All-time NFL: John Hannah Active NCAA hockey: Jimmy Howard All-time NCAA hockey: Paul Kariya. (and yes, I recognize that the big three that was meant was NFL, MLB, and NBA, but I have such a distaste for the NBA & MLB that I'd be unable to pick a legitimate 'favorite' active player.)

The is the first season that I rooted for the Road Rules ... Kendall brings the hotness like few others are capable of, and that was reason enough for me. Add into the fact that Abram seems like a pretty funny guy, and that I hated virtually everyone from the Real World team (except David & Cyrus). So, I'm stoked that the Road Rules won. My favorite squabble this season was Coral vs. Julie ... I fucking detest them both, so to see them bicker was a riot. Coral's bark is so much worse than her bite, to see someone stand up to her was sweet. (Hell, even Trashelle stepped up to her for a bit before getting the boot, so maybe if/when they bring Coral back people will be less likely to let her walk all over them.) Needless to say, I'm anxiously awaiting the 'reunion' special next Monday.

The hot tag is a very old-school way of generating heat in a tag match ... at this point, it's part of the "recipe" of a tag match, and to me, it wouldn't make sense to NOT have one. It'd be like having a match without a near-fall ... they're wicked predictable, but they're part of the package. Isn't 5-on-5 the traditional format for both Survivor Series AND Wargames? I remember the slogan for the earliest SS was "Teams of 5 Struggle to Survive". And the earliest Wargames that I remember had the Horsemen plus JJ Dillon (for a total of 5) vs. Koloff, Dusty, Road Warriors plus Ellering.

I'd combine Bobby Orr and Gordie Howe ... maybe the quickness & puckhandling of Orr with the size and strength of Howe. Take the best of both their scoring touches, rather than just pick one or the other.

The Busey show just seemed very fake to me ... none of it seemed real, it all seemed like it was for the cameras.

How exactly does one 'get' a movie like South Park, or Spider-Man? It's not advanced trigonometry we're talking about.

If anything, I'd like them to up the ante on the racist gimmick ... as long as he LOSES at the end, it's not a problem in my eyes. Will it offend? Yes, but I think it will in the way that VKM wanted the Katie Vick angle to go down. Rather than people saying "this offends me as a wrestling fan" people might say "this offends me as a person". Plus, if done correctly, it can keep Bradshaw out of the ring. Like the AWA did with Col. Debeers, have him say that he's 'above' wrestling minorities, and instead just attack them post match. Ultimately, Eddie destroys him in a PPV match and he slides back down the card. Put him in mid-card feuds with Orlando Jordan, etc, and then fire him (or move him behind the scenes or whatever).

The MENSA convention on ESPN last night was saying that even if the Flyers lost, Primeau would demand consideration for the Conn Smythe ... has anyone, ever, won the trophy even though they didn't play in the Cup finals? Because I think that's a dangerous precedent to start; what if a team loses in the 7th game of the second round, but their goalie's GAA in the games that they won was 0.00? Even though they didn't get to their Conference Finals, would he get consideration??
